Chapter 10.13
Chapter 10.13
Jihye suddenly leaned her upper body over the table and said as if sharing a secret:“… And, oppa…”
Sangwoo naturally leaned forward to hear her voice.
“I have something to tell you today.”
The candle flame that was reflected in her eyes was shimmering. Sangwoo looked closely at Jihye’s face for the very first time. He hadn’t been aware until this point, but she had a small dimple on her cheek.
“Wing-ardium levio-oosa!”
At that moment, a male student dressed as a wizard ran towards them and pushed a menu between the two, and cut off their eye contact. Sangwoo corrected his posture and looked at the menu.
Gruesome Rolled Omelet, Thousand-Year-Old Rice with Fish Roe, Spooky Fish Cake Stew.
The prices were on the expensive side, but it was nothing in comparison to the gaming console from Jihye.
“Order everything you want to try. As long as it’s below 130,000 won.”
“Yes!”
After much consideration, Jihye ordered a ‘Rotten Deep Fried Udon,’ and Sangwoo ordered a ‘Crazy Kimchi Stew’ and ‘Spider-web Made Rice.’ Once the wizard left, Sangwoo made eye contact with Jihye who was sitting with a somewhat dissatisfied look on her face.
“Didn’t you want to tell me something?”
“Oh… No. I’ll tell you later.”
“Okay.”
Then there was silence. Sangwoo was sitting still, but he was focused on all the sounds in the tent coming from behind him. There was no way of preventing himself from doing that since he was curious about what Jang Jaeyoung was doing, who he was talking to, and what he was talking about. He heard his voice coming from all over the place. He laughed and probably joked with strangers, and he also took orders from tables and served them. Sangwoo’s heart was pounding, beating a little faster.
“Ah, oppa! Do you want me to tell you a funny story?”
“Huh? Sure… Go ahead.”
“So you know. A tuna kimbap and cheese kimbap were walking down the street when they met a pickled radish. However…”
“Grrrrrrrrr…”
“OMFG!”
As the sudden appearance of Frankenstein with a nail stuck to his head had startled her, Jihye seemed to have flown 30 cm up into the air. Jihye looked angry, but she couldn’t say anything as the concept of the ghost bar was to play jokes on the customers.
“The staff are a bit mischievous and annoying.”
“We came because you wanted to.”
“I know. I can’t say anything…”
Then their conversation was cut off again. Jihye only wiggled her fingers for a while and then asked a question.
“Oppa, I’ve been wondering since earlier… Do you have a girlfriend?”
“No.”
“Oh, really? Then if you get a decent chance to… do you have any thoughts of seeing someone?”
Sangwoo tried to respond that he didn’t have such intentions since he was busy with his studies, but the devil ran up to them and put a curse on them with loud gestures (it seemed to have been made up on the spot) and disappeared.
“What are you saying?” Sangwoo muttered to the disappearing back.
Jihye had been silent for quite a while.
“Should we leave after finishing our meals?”
“Let’s do whatever you want.”
“Yes… It’s so loud here that we can’t talk.”
At first, Sangwoo only thought she was sensitive, but as time went by, he understood her words. Oddly enough, whenever Jihye tried to say something, a dish would be served, and if a conversation would start, a member of the theater club would without fail leave after interrupting them. It may have been a coincidence, but it was clear that it wasn’t a suitable place to talk.
Either way, Sangwoo’s concern was entirely focused on another person. Jaeyoung didn’t actually come near them once, so Sangwoo didn’t even get a chance to take a closer look at his costume and makeup, not even when he gladly took pictures as he went to other tables.
‘Is it because we’re sex partners?’
He had decided that he wasn’t going to be one anymore, though.
Sangwoo sighed and leaned his back against the chair. The more he envisioned having sex with Jaeyoung, the darker it became. Sangwoo simply didn’t have any courage to insert his penis into that guy’s rectum. Also, he wasn’t sure he could handle seeing Jaeyoung in the same kind of agony he saw the people suffering from in the audiovisual material he saw.
Jaeyoung kept his word by truly giving them a lot of services. He had already given them three bottles of soju, dried side dishes, and a rolled omelet, none of which they had ordered. Even Jihye, who wanted to leave as soon as possible greedily picked up her chopsticks in front of free food and alcohol.
“Oppa, you drink well, I see.”
Even if Jihye was drinking as well, most of the soju went into Sangwoo’s mouth. Perhaps it was because of the severity of the stress he had suffered over the weekend, but he wanted to get drunk.
His state of mind was like a compiler with 100 lines of bright red error code.
