Chapter 158.The Book Of Teachings
Jake and the dryads remained busy the whole night.
Early in the morning, the first sunlight pierced through the cloak of leaves and branches. The dryads had merged with their spiritual trees to rest.
''Are you satisfied now?'' The elder druid floated toward the demon. His expression implied that he wanted Jake to leave immediately.
''Indeed, they were delicious last night. You would know, right?'' Jake licked his lips and flew up.
Although he didn't say it directly, his words left a bad taste in Edgar's mouth. He realized the demon knew he was checking on them last night.
The druid looked at the state of this site. Though nothing seemed to have changed, he couldn't help but feel the worshiping area was tainted now.
Flying through the forest, Jake reached the place where the carriage was parked. It appeared the druid hadn't tried doing anything suspicious. He was too worried about Jake's presence.
''Master, w-welcome back.''
''D-Did you have fun…?''
Erin and Perry asked awkwardly. They had just woken up. Jake answered them while getting inside the carriage.
''There is a shortcut out of this forest,'' Edgar came from behind and said. He wanted the demon and his company gone as quickly as possible.
''Oh?'' Jake took out his map from the inventory and threw it at the druid outside.
''Map it for me.''
Edgar caught the scroll and looked at it. There was a cross signal at the end of the moonlight forest. Instead of using the map Jake had given him, the druid created a new map on a flat piece of wood with his powers.
There was more detail about the Moonlight Forest now. Comparing Jake's map with it, the way through the forest was shorter and straight.
With a neutral expression, the druid threw the wooden map at Jake which disappeared as soon as he caught it.
'Space magic…? It was good that I didn't fight with him, he probably has many more hidden cards under his sleeves,' Edgar thought.
The carriage's doors suddenly shut in his face. Jake didn't even thank him.
''Move,'' he ordered the centaurs who were already awake and ready.
At his command, Bella and Ella pulled the luxury carriage. Instead of going the way they were going, the centaurs changed courses as their master gave out more commands.
The druid looked at the carriage closely and even followed until it left his territory.
Back at the worshiping area, the dryads appeared from their spiritual trees one by one. They transformed from green humanoid trees to humans in a few seconds.
The dryads remembered what happened last night and touched their bellies. The demon had fucked and came inside them all multiple times. But he had also done something subtle to them which Edgar couldn't notice.
''We must nurture the master's seed…'' Fernis leaned against her spiritual tree and muttered. Some of its green leaves were turning red and black, the colors of vile evil.
…
''The Lord judges everyone equally, but sometimes He judges some subjects more equally than others.'' Bishop Panchel preached to the crowd of thousands of people.
Today, a mass gathering was being held in Orlando, signaling the completion of his faith converting quest. Leading his clerics, knights and devout believers, he had gone from city to city, village to village, preaching to people about the Lord and his magnanimousness.
''Thus, the Lord is impartial,'' the bishop continued bullshitting to the mass.
Helpers were passing the Book of Teachings to the people below with humble attitudes. The things written on it were from Jake's own hand. Suffice to say, it was to help him get more Evil Points.
From the start, Jake wanted to create a cult because he knew its potential. Now, if a believer did something sinful after reading the Book of Teachings, it would be because of him.
''The Lord wishes prosperity to each of His lambs. And to gain prosperity, a good life and happiness, you must follow what is written in the Book of Teachings. Open, open this holy scripture and practice it daily!'' Panchel's voice was amplified through a magic crystal and reached everyone's ears.
Those who had gotten the book immediately opened it and began reading.
''The First Teaching. Mating is an act of nature, it gives divine pleasure. Those who forbid it go against that which is human, and thus it is wrong.
The Lord encourages his believers to practice sex with each others. It is best to make this a family tradition, and fuck one's relatives on a daily basis...''
''The Second Teaching. To steal isn't necessarily wrong. It teaches us how nothing lasts with us, it teaches that everything comes from earth and is bestowed by the Lord.
Humble yourself and do not condemn robbery, for nothing is yours. You came to this world with nothing and shall leave this world the same…''
As the people read more and more, they couldn't help but doubt this book. This was the exact opposite of what their earlier faith told them. Then again, these teachings did not forbid anything. The Lord did not compel them, He just 'encouraged' his ways.
''Praise the Lord!'' Someone shouted. Of course, he was ordered to do that.
''Preach!''
? ''The Lord teaches, and we follow!''
In a small time, the crowd began roaring. Standing on top of the raised platform, Bishop Panchel raised his hand and people below immediately went silent.
He continued his preachings with a calm attitude while some priests and priestesses fucked in the building behind.
…
A week passed and the carriage finally left the moonlight forest. During this time, Jake had noticed a steep increase in numbers of Evil Points.
It had already crossed the one million mark and was still increasing. Jake was expecting the points to reach five million by the time he reached Tartus Dungeon.
On the way through the periphery of Moonlight Forest, bandits and monsters had confronted them. However, just the centaurs dealt with them all. Jake didn't have to act himself. Some monsters even withdrew as soon as he equipped the Demon Earl title.
Sitting inside the carriage, Jake looked at the wooden map given by the druid.
''There is a tributary ahead. That's also where Karsuda Province's territory ends,'' Ruxa said. ''Then we will enter the Ardin Province!''
