Chapter 54 - Another One??
In the last iteration, California was overrun by Armored Kaijins. But the Armored Kaijins were almost wiped out in the second iteration, leaving a massive power gap that would allow a new beast tribe to ascend into supremacy.
However, without an overwhelming strength and number advantage like the Armored Kaijin tribe, the path towards supremacy would be a long and bloody one.
And with an enraged Elliot ravenous for power added into the equation, California would be a massive hotbed of carnage and gore for the next seven days.
Well, for a particular unknown town that day, a hotbed of spider juice.
BAM!
The Black Bear Warrior’s huge paw smashed down on a tittering mutated giant spider and crushed its hideous head, causing large amounts of spider juice to splatter everywhere.
The spider juice was extremely corrosive, and it caused the Black Bear Warrior’s already heavily blistered paw to blister even more. It was so bad that the lower part of both of the Black Bear Warrior’s front paws were already devoid of fur.
Elliot growled in disgust and flung the mutated giant spider carcass away, where it joined hundreds of its dead brothers and sisters in inglorious death.
However, hundreds more remained alive in the town, spread out everywhere and feasting on the hapless populace of the town.
The screams of men, women, children and all sorts of pets were slowly subsiding. Those that were caught were dead or dying, and those that were hiding were making sure that not a single noise escaped wherever they were hiding in.pᴀɴᴅᴀ-ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ.ᴄᴏᴍ
It was the second town that had fallen to the mutated giant spiders which Elliot had come across that day. Without the Armored Kaijins dominating the area with an iron fist and limiting the growth of all the other beast tribes, it appeared that the mutated giant spiders were quickly capitalizing on their ability to breed quickly and numerously to take full advantage of the situation.
Although they were hopelessly weak and easy to crush when they were newborns, their numbers were nothing to scoff at. A weak newborn would die quickly against a powerful beast. But the powerful beast would die even quicker against a thousand of newborn giant mutated spiders.
Still, apart from its irritating spider juice, the giant mutated spiders were the perfect beast for Elliot to grind his levels. He had already gained ten levels after killing thousands of them in the previous city!
“Brock! Winter! Are you two done resting? Stop being lazy and come on out!” Elliot roared out.
“Ughhh’¦ I hate spiders.” Winter grumbled as she materialized next to Elliot. “Especially these ones with blood that burns. Look, my paws are already almost bald!”
Winter whined pitifully and showed her left paw to Elliot.
“Go kill one hundred more! I’ll let you rest again after that.” Elliot growled and refused to look at WInter’s paw.
“Fine, fine.” Winter leapt away and began to fling the spiders away with her powerful jaws, preferring to kill them by impact against walls instead of using her powerful claws.
Elliot glowered at her half-hearted attempt to kill the spiders and sighed deeply. At least she’s fighting. pᴀɴᴅᴀ ɴoᴠᴇʟ
If only he could say the same about his other giant tamed beast.
“BROCK! COME OUT!” Elliot roared.
“I’m hurt! I’m grievously wounded! I can’t fight anymore!” Brock moaned from within his mind space.
“Coward!” Elliot shouted.
“Injured! I am injured!” Brock refused to admit that the spiders freaked him out completely and stuck to his claim that he was injured. “My wound from the previous battle had not healed completely! The potion you gave me must be fake! Fake I say!”
“They’re not fake, you big wuss! You owe me a thousand kills! No two thousand!” Elliot shouted angrily.
“Fine. Two thousand kills. I will kill two thousand beasts once we reach the next town!” Brock immediately agreed. Anything was ok if he could get out of fighting disgusting giant spiders which splatters disgusting spider juice!
“Okay. Deal.” Elliot immediately smiled evilly in satisfaction. He planned to work the fat bear lord half to death once they reached the next town.
[Congratulations! You’ve levelled up to level 49!] ρꪖꪕᦔꪖꪕꪫꪣꫀꪶ
[Ellie has levelled up to level 34 for killing a level 10 Giant Mutated Spider.]
[Congratulations! You’ve levelled up to level 50!]
[San Wu Kong has levelled up to level 41 level for killing a level 82 Nether Silver-Striped Swine.]
[You have gained 1.5 attribute points from San Wu Kong.]
“Hmm? Wu Kong killed a level EIGHTY TWO beast? What a good Lightning Apostle! Excellent! Excellent indeed!” Elliot praised Wu Kong profusely in his public mindspace.
“Hawk, dump all the points to strength. And please also include how many levels my beasts had gained like the previous notification, but keep the other changes I requested.” Elliot ordered Hawk the AI privately.
[Acknowledged.]
“Congrats brother Kong! Ellie level too. Ellie level thirty four!” Ellie shouted proudly as well.
“Hah hah’¦” Wu Kong laughed weakly. “Not’¦ An easy’¦ Fight.”
“Have a good rest, Wu Kong. You deserve it. Unlike someone who’s resting now without doing much work.” Elliot said loudly.
“Heh heh.” Winter snickered boorishly.
However, before any of them could continue their fun teasing of Brock to pass the time while they mindlessly kill the mutated giant spiders, a loud SCREEE sounded from the sky!
“Hooo’¦ The hawks found the Brood Mother! All units, on me!” Elliot instructed as he transformed into his Primal Feline Warrior Beast Form and dashed off towards his hawks with great speed.
From all over the town, wolves, tigers, a giant wolf, a cute red lynx and an even cuter black bear began to make their way towards Elliot who was speeding towards the Northern Gate of the town.
However, the further North he went, the bigger and more powerful the spiders became! When he was a hundred meters from the North Gate, it became so bad that he no longer could ignore the giant mutated spiders and pass them by.
“Fine, all of you shall be my warm up before I kill the Brood Mother!” Elliot growled as he attacked a particularly hideous looking spider.
GRAHHH!! His Primal Roar rang out and froze the spiders in place for a quick second.
Lightning Slash!
The giant mutated spider’s head disappeared and caused a large amount of spider juice to spurt out.
Elliot nimbly dodged the spray of spider juice and managed to avoid getting hit.
SCREEEEE!!!
A loud warning cry from one of his hawks rang out from the south.
“What? Another Brood Mother??” Elliot gasped in surprise.
SCREEE!!!
Another one from the west!
SCREEEE!!!
And another from the east!
