Spending My Retirement In A Game

Chapter 427 - The Dungeon is Open!

"Nice, it's official now!" Komer exclaimed excitedly, now that his Company had properly been established as a Guild-Branch for . "Well, I think I should head back for now… I need to order a lot of different things for now, so I need to get that over with…" He muttered quietly and pulled out the notebook from his back pocket and flipped it open, before Eisen nodded his head with a smile.

"Sure. We're just going to head over toward the Plaza now. If you need my help with anything, just let me know." The old man suggested, and Komer nodded his head and held two of his fingers to his forehead in a salute, "Aye aye."

And thus, Komer swiftly turned around and made his way back through Town toward the Starlight Buildings, while Eisen and the others made their way over toward the Plaza which they had passed before once already.

"Oh?" Eisen voiced surprised as he looked at a small spot being cleared out by Guards in a pretty central space. He recognized one of the Guards as one of those that were escorting the Lord of this town, so the old man figured this was the place that was being opened up for the Dungeon.

Once Eisen stepped up to them, that was confirmed as well.

"Here you go, Sir! As promised by the Lord! Use this plot for as long as you want!" The Guard explained, waving his hand toward it, and while the Merchants from the surrounding Stalls were looking at him curiously, Eisen himself just nodded his head and cracked his knuckles.

"Alright, then let's get started, shall we?" The old man suggested as he turned toward Fafnir, and Sigurd swiftly appeared in a cloud of mist carrying some stone-bricks.

Then, while starting to whistle, Eisen swiftly placed the bricks down and held them in place with his element to make de-construction easier later on. And in swift motions, Eisen was now starting to build a small stone-brick structure, simply to make the single-door Gateway seem less weird on its own, while pulling even more attention toward it by making everything bigger.

A few people were seemingly already gathering curiously at this, especially because they were surprised at how fast this was happening, but soon enough the structure was already finished. It looked basically just like a Stone-Brick Cube, before Eisen placed two large posters beside the large hole in the front.

They were made in the special way that Eisen wanted them to be made, with colored, slightly animated Pictures depicting the Dungeon's interior.

Then at the top, above the Hole, Eisen hung a wooden sign that read, 'The Living Dungeon. Rank 1, Three Floors'.

The moment that this sign was hung there, the people that had gathered were even more confused. Was this supposed to be just some sort of Information stand? That was what they were thinking at first, sure, but soon enough they found out that this very much wasn't the case when Fafnir jumped to the top of the hole and made a stone-brick frame appear that just fit perfectly into that hole, before laying down and falling asleep in that nest-like spot that Eisen specially made for Fafnir to lay down comfortably.

And then, the moment that the wooden door appeared, Eisen smiled in satisfaction and turned around toward the Crowd.

"To any young Adventurers here… Come on in and have some fun." He exclaimed in a loud voice before opening the door to the Dungeon and stepping inside, showing a large, wooden room inside of it, although it should have just been a dark, small stone-brick room.

It seemed like one of the people there was especially curious and swiftly followed the old man inside, and judging from his excited demeanor, Eisen figured that this was a Player, even.

And as he looked around, Sigurd appeared in front of him and smiled brightly.

"As this is your first visit, please sign in at the counter with one of our employees. I'm afraid they won't be able to answer you, but we made sure to train them for these situations." Sigurd pointed out, crossing its arms behind its back while turning toward the counter manned by the Goblins, and the young man slowly approached one of the counters, before immediately having a small crystal sphere placed in front of him.

That sphere was then tapped by the goblin a few times, and the young man, seemingly having understood what he was supposed to do, poured his mana into the crystal, feeling a quick shiver all over his body.

This was a specialized Crystal-Ball that Eisen made for a general, basic appraisal of someone's name, occupation, and level, and in the background also whether they were a Player or not.

Then, the Goblin simply smiled at the young man and pointed at the large door next to the counters.

"Am… Am I supposed to go through there?" He asked as he turned toward Eisen, who just nodded his head with a chuckle. "Mhm. Go ahead, you're the first outsider in there." He said with a wink, and excitedly, the young man stepped through the door, before being met with bright sunlight.

"We're outside again?" The young man asked, but Eisen just chuckled and shook his head as he stepped up next to him, seeing that he now had red pupils, which was just the perfect situation.

"Not exactly. Let me give you a little tour." Eisen laughed, pushing the player against the back to make him walk forward along the rough path. On the other side of the small village, you could already see the entrance into the actual Dungeon area, but that would be the last place they would go to.

"You can see this as a 'Safe Base'. We're inside a Dungeon, but you won't need to worry about Monsters here. Over there is a small Marketplace where you can sell materials and items you got within the Dungeon, and where you can buy a few different things like Health or Mana potions, food, water, as well as Maps… Although those are rather pricy for now." Eisen admitted with a wink, walking past the stalls currently manned by the Alchemy and Woodworking Kobolds, before then heading to the 'larger' buildings.

"And then over here, you can get weapons or usable items like throwing-knives, arrows, or similar, while also getting basic items repaired. For different weapons or armor, you need to go to different places of course, obviously."

Curiously, the young man sucked up everything that Eisen was telling him, intensely staring at whatever Eisen was currently speaking about. And then soon enough, they reached the end of the Tour, the entrance to the Dungeon in the form of a dark corridor with a few classic torches connected to the walls.

"Now then, kid. Have fun in there." Eisen said with a bright smile, pushing the Player inside. He was a bit taken aback at first, but soon enough, he started walking inside, and as a passing message, Eisen yelled something after him.

"Watch out for your legs, the Rabbits always go after them!" He exclaimed with a slight smirk, and although Eisen noticed that the Player turned around for a moment there, he had swiftly continued to make his way deeper into the Dungeon.

And as Eisen was heading back toward the Dungeon-Entrance, he noticed that there were a few people inside of here, even some that didn't seem to be Adventurers, but rather curious merchants of sort. There was some trouble going on inside of the reception area with people that didn't really understand that the Goblins were harmless, but they were swiftly stopped in their actions by Sigurd, who luckily had everything under control.

And so, Eisen just stepped out of the Dungeon and took a look at the line that had alreay formed in front of the entrance.

With a slight smirk on his lips, Eisen crossed his arms and then noticed a few people with the specially marked flyers standing there in line as well, so the old man swiftly walked up to them.

"Ah, you're the ones that were waiting around before, weren't you?" The old man asked as he looked at them, and they slowly nodded their heads, before one of them swiftly spoke up.

"Mhm, we did! When we heard that there really was a Dungeon here, we came rushing over immediately! But the line's just so long…" She explained, so Eisen just chuckled and grabbed the Flyer she was holding.

"Don't worry, with these, you can skip to the front with some special service. Just walk up to the stone hut with them in your hand, and the one that gave these to you before will appear immediately." He explained, so the handful of players slowly and nervously looked at each other before nodding their heads, doing just as Eisen told them to.

And when Sigurd appeared in front of them with a broad smile, those that hadn't seen this happen yet were just so much more intrigued, while these handful of players were led into the Dungeon with 'Priority Treatment'.

Inside, they would be allowed to directly get registered at the counters, and then would even get a Map for the first floor.

Eisen was aware that maybe this was a little unfair, but he figured this kind of thing was a good way to further promote this. After all, everyone wanted to get stuff for free, so if Eisen continued with this kind of thing in whatever town he stopped and set the Dungeon up at, it might be nice advertis.e.m.e.nt for the Dungeon as well. Although, Eisen doubted that it would be all that hard to pull a lot of attention to it, considering how Unique it was.

Either way, for now, Eisen figured that he could use this chance to relax a little, and to watch people to maybe get some more new ideas to work with. Of course, he still had his newest occupation skill to level up to get it to Rank 3, but considering that he only had one to two dozen levels left, he could probably get that done by 'upgrading' all of the items he handed out, which was something Eisen would prefer over making so many more Ego-Items.

So for now, the old man just swiftly increased his size to the maximum that he could and then sat down on top of the stone-brick structure, because why not? There was still enough space inbetween his legs for everyone to enter the Dungeon, and like this Eisen also had a way to make sure everyone was behaving out here.

But not only that, Eisen was also using this chance to play with the three Monster Children that immediately climbed onto his lap! He was hoping for Sal to Rank up to Rank 3 pretty soon, because he was the one that Eisen was worried about most right now. Caria and Melissa were both at Rank 4, so Sal was pretty weak compared to them, especially since his physical stats had such minimal growth.

Either way, the old man didn't let that discourage him and just practiced a few things with them in a playful manner, not caring at all for the crowd of people just staring at the old man from below.
