Spending My Retirement In A Game

Chapter 611 Abrupt End

"How did you…" The Incarnation asked with a tone of pure shock. It stood there with its one remaining hand stretched forward so that it was able to react if Brody chose to attack all of a sudden, and the Demon-Orc just grinned broadly.

He pushed his spear into the ground and started to slightly carve into it, using this elemental-control ability of his to do so. "It's easy, ya know? Just gotta disrupt any flow of energy that's in there." Brody explained, "Apparently, at least. I think that's what I did… I don't actually really know. But that doesn't matter, now does it?"

The incarnation looked back at Brody and scoffed before nodding its head, "I guess you are right, it matters very little. Even with just a single arm I can defeat you." The Incarnation said with full confidence. It was completely convinced that this was the case, and it would probably be close to impossible to convince it otherwise, not that there was any reason to. Brody would show it that it was simply wrong, no need to convince it beyond that, really.

Brody held his spear in front of his body and pointed it back at the Incarnation of War. Slowly, he ran his foot over the carvings that he created in the ground below him, pulling chunks of rock out of the ground that he loosened up a little.

He scooped his foot underneath one of those head-sized chunks and kicked it up like it was a soccer ball. And once it came back down, Brody kicked it like it was one as well, sending it straight for the Incarnation. However, without a single wasted movement, it managed to dodge the rock. Although then, he soon had to face another one. And another one, and another one, until Brody pulled all of the rocks that he loosened up by carving into the ground with his spear out of the ground, leaving him to practically stand in a hole.

Obviously seeing this as a chance to attack, the Incarnation grabbed the very rocks that Brody kicked at it before and threw them at the Demon-Orc at full force. But all that Brody did in response was grin Broadly.

The moment that the Incarnation threw the rock at the Demon-Orc, he pushed the tip of his spear into it and molded the rock around it, turning the spearhead into something like a rough hammerhead. It really was just rough, but it was close enough to get the idea.

Using the speed of the first rock, Brody twisted his body around completely before proceeding to hit the second rock that came just a moment after the first.

Both rocks shattered into pieces, but it seemed like it was exactly what Brody wanted. He had pushed his external energy into both of the rocks during the moment of impact and manipulated their trajectory. And the thing with a lot of types of rock and mineral structures was that, when they were shattered into pieces, many of the edges were incredibly thin and sharp. The same was the case this time around.

And so, Brody basically just managed to shoot numerous tiny, energy-enhanced blades at the Incarnation. But of course, it didn't let them hit its body and simply created small 'tunnels' in its body by turning parts of it into its sand-like form to just let them pass through its body completely, since they would otherwise still do quite some damage to the Incarnation's actual health.

Hidden amongst the tiny rocks was the tip of Brody's spear, which he pushed into the center of the space that the Incarnation opened up by changing its own state. Immediately the Incarnation tried to close it back up so that it could maybe even trap Brody's weapon inside of its own body, but it was already too late. It currently couldn't control this part of its body anymore, and the large, gaping hole simply stayed open because Brody once more affected the Incarnation's control over it by pushing his more 'chaotic' yin energy into it.

And then, Brody simply proceeded to push the spear further through that first hole until the blade was halfway through the hole on the other side. Before the Incarnation knew it or could do anything about it, Brody pulled his own fet away from under himself and put all his weight onto the spear's handle. Like this, the spear's blade was pushed against the metal from inside of the hole and Brody could slowly use his chaotic yin energy to feed away at the metal or bend it out of the way if possible.

By now, Brody was practically standing on his own spear's handle to make the blade cut further through the Incarnation's back. But meanwhile, the Incarnation tried its best to get Brody off of its body with the one hand it had left, but all the Demon-Orc was doing was try to bend the metal making up the Incarnation's chest away so that he could push his hands inside so that Brody could push himself down and put more force on the spear while the Incarnation was trying to grab him and rip him off of itself, but he just wouldn't let it go.

That was until Brody suddenly didn't feel any more resistance. The spear's handle was pushed down rapidly and the Demon-Orc slipped off. As far as he could see through the large hole in the Incarnation's chest, it had deliberately removed parts of its back to cause this, although it let Brody still infuse the chaotic yin energy into the sand-like substance to make it unusable.

But at this point, the Incarnation just pulled the spear out of its body and snapped it in half with sheer force, something that Eisen wasn't exactly happy about seeing. The old man groaned loudly and ground his teeth, but this was just what sometimes happened during a fight, so he couldn't actually do all that much against it and had to let it happen.

The incarnation scattered the spear's parts around the area, in particularly bending the spear's tip to make sure it couldn't be used in a fight anymore. It basically pressed the edge down and turned it too flat to be able to cut at all.

Brody sighed loudly as he looked at the Incarnation with a frown, "Well, that ain't really nice, you know? Also, I hope you're aware that I could just take out a way better weapon and finish this whole thing instantly, right?"

"I do assume so, yes. After all, the greatest craftsman of this world made those weapons for you. You must have one that can take care of me quite quickly, there is no doubt about that." The Incarnation said with a slight laugh, "But that does not matter to me. I know that you will not take out another weapon of yours, simply because you are too good to do so. Is that no right?"

Brody looked back at the Incarnation with a slightly wry smile before rubbing the bridge of his nose with his thumb and index finger, "Well, fuck… Now I am, I was just about to grab a new weapon…" The Demon-Orc complained, "But I guess I can finish this just as well with my hands only." Brody pointed out, and this once more showed that an item really was formed by the user a lot of the time, especially when it came to ego-items. Brody and the Incarnation were quite similar to each other. Both were convinced they would never be able to lose, no matter who they were fighting against.

They moved in the same way, used similar techniques, and in some situations even reacted to attacks or annoyances identically. It was an interesting fight, to say the least.

Eisen stood there and continuedd to watch while something else happened. The 'wounds' in the Incarnation's body started to close up, but none of the sand that it had built its body with was moving now, at least none of the special sand that Eisen had been keeping an eye on.

No, instead, it did something else. It used some of the sand from other parts of its body to fill the gaps in. But since it seemingly couldn't create the sand by itself just like that, its body was actually shrinking in size. It became at least a meter shorter than before, but did not only repair the cuts and holes in its body, but even restored its hand.

"Well then, good to have a way to defeat you now." Brody said with a smirk on its face, And thanks for not remaking your spear like that." The Demon-Orc admitted as well, although it seemed like it didn't do so out of consideration for the fact that Brody didn't take out another spear. Instead, it was most likely just trying to keep as much of a size advantage as possible, since the spear would probably take another half-meter to a meter off of its height.

But either way, the Demon-Orc soon jumped at the Incarnation again and the two started with a quick exchange of hand-to-hand combat moves. It was incredibly fast paced, once more so quickly that it was hard for onlookers to really follow what exactly the two of them were doing, but for the most part, it was clear that they were damaging each other to an extent. It probably wasn't by much, but a little was all that was needed to tip either one over the edge, really.

It was still clear that the one that was doing the most damage right now was Brody, who with ever single time he made contact with the Incarnation's body started to pull the metal that it was made of along a slight bit, twisting it in certain places, pushing it in in others, and sometimes even creating gaping holes if he got a really good hit in.

And whenever he could, he would remove chunks of metal and simply turn them to dust by pushing as much chaotic energy into them as possible. This created wounds that would be immediately repaired by the Incarnation, making its body shrink more and more each time.

It took around half an hour until enough mass had been shaved away from the incarnation's body so that it was roughly around as tall as Brody was. Basically, it was now at the size that it should be to actually be a proper suit of armor that he could potentially wear comfortably.

"There we go." Brody said with a smug grin on his face, "Guess you ain't as tough anymore, huh?"

The Demon-Orc kept grinning and once more swung his arm at the Incarnation's head. At this point, Brody understood how it would react every sinlge time he did this, as if it was one of its instincts to do to protect the head. It would twist its body around and fall back, before-

"…" Brody stopped and looked at the Incarnation's figure confusedly, "What?" He muttered. This time, it was different. This time, the incarnation didn't twist its body. It didn't move at all, really. Instead, it moved more into Brody's hand that was covered in the chaotic yin energy. It turned its head into dust and had Brody cleave away a large chunk of it.

The head was the control-center of the Incarnation, that much was obvious. But half of it was just destroyed in one fell swoop, and the Incarnation dropped to the ground as the fight was abruptly over.
