Starting From the Dragon Tribe

Chapter 59: Shh—

“The target has awakened, and the magnetic field interference emitted is very strong. The lowest the helicopter can descend is 50 meters, which is not low enough for a jump. It’s suggested that you land from the periphery before charging in,” Merry reported the situation to Lu Chen.

Lu Chen opened the helicopter door, the strong winds ruffling his hair. The raindrops hit his emotionless face as he looked down at the sea of demonic flowers below.

“It’s too late, descend,” Lu Chen picked up Red Maple.

“You’re insane. 50 meters, even if your blood is…” Merry was stunned and tried to stop the crazy young man, but her words were interrupted.

“Descend,” the young man turned back to look at Merry. Those eyes were the color of gold. She gritted her teeth and told the pilot, “Descend!”

In the Nama tribe, the livestock that were supposed to be handed over to the Yankees suddenly bayed uneasily, eventually all prostrating and whimpering, leaving the tribe terrified. As they looked at the sea of flowers growing wildly in the distance, they thought it to be the God of Nature descending in divine wrath.

The melodious song started once again. The woman opened her arms as if to embrace the sky; she had returned to her former peak, but the sacrifice would allow her to go even further.

In this instant, a dozen-something A-grade agents were pinned onto the ground, unable to move. Just struggling against the bone-crushing gravity was hard enough, nevermind using their Kotodama.

The sea of flowers flailed around, the rain curtain hanging in the sky. Within this gravitational sphere, the woman who had risen up from the bronze coffin seemed like the heart of heaven and earth. The sea of flowers, which obeyed her, writhed like mad—they were to live; the ones in front of her, who disobeyed her, kneeled upon the ground—they were to die! The power she held in her hand was mighty; it was absolute!

The cries of Sara were drowned out by the sky and earth, and the flowering branches pulled her and the uncle holding her closer to that terrible lady.

Perhaps not wanting to affect Sara, Bob was not crushed by the gravity of Kingship, but he was still filled with despair. What happened tonight was so sudden that they could never have foreseen that the awakening of a 3rd generation species could be so fast, so fast that they were caught off guard.

An agent managed to activate his Kotodama: Black Thunder, but it was blocked by the mass of tangled flowers. If they had known this was going to happen, they would have burned this place to the ground!

Bob only hoped that Officer Purtell had initiated the emergency plan, or else it wouldn’t only be the agents who died tonight, but also the local herdsmen on the periphery as well.

He hesitated for a moment and aimed his Desert Eagle at the little girl’s head. If this little girl was the reason for the woman’s advance, then no matter how inhumane this was, he was determined to see it through.

But he couldn’t pull the trigger. Instead, as if possessed, he lifted the girl, who was fearfully squirming around, and handed her in the direction of the woman, as if he were a pious devotee offering a sacrifice to God. It was a Kotodama that affected one’s mental facilities, and he had been caught within it.

Sara cried and flailed frantically, but she could not break free from the powerful hands. The scary lady’s song reached its climax, and she opened her arms, as if to receive her into her embrace.

All the agents were in a state of extreme anguish. The agents who knew Blood Rage were about to unleash it. Even if they were to become Death Servitors, they would never let their dignity be trampled upon!

Bob let out a roar within his heart, but his hands just wouldn’t listen to him, the girl’s cries were so ear-piercing.

It’s over.

Boom—

A deafening roar rang out, the earth trembled. The earth surrounding the bronze coffin sagged, and the mud and water swirled into a large lotus flower. The strong winds made the surrounding flowers bend to the side, yet they weren’t bowing toward their queen, but were overwhelmed by authority altogether!

Bob’s hands stopped. He and Sara were blocked by something. All the agents fought to look up.

The singing stopped, for the owner of the song was unable to speak.

At this moment, a young man in a black trench coat was squatting on the half-open lid of the bronze coffin, holding the woman’s jaw in his left hand. No wonder she could no longer speak.

The young man looked down, putting his face close to hers, his right index finger in front of his lips, “Shh—”

In this instant, lightning streaked across the sky, illuminating the young man’s ice cold countenance, rain sliding down his cheeks, a pair of pure-gold pupils bursting out with light that overpowered even the woman of the bronze coffin!

The agents felt the wave of gravity disappear—no, not disappear—because of the presence of the young man. The dignity of countless millennia crashed upon his head, causing blood to drip down, as if he were an iron wall!

The woman’s majestic golden pupils were filled with amazement and anger. And that same pair of piercing eyes flowed lava within. She was such a noble existence, yet this peasant dared to offend her!

She wanted to break free, but this young man’s power was akin to a massive dragon’s!

Under the gaze of the crowd, the young man’s arms flexed, pressing the woman’s head back, inch by inch, lowering and pressing her back toward the place where she had awakened: the bronze coffin. “Those who sleep too long should stay sleeping.”

The title of the supreme being had just shifted, as a stronger authority had descended upon the land!

The woman was shocked and enraged as white scales quickly appeared on her boyd. Power surged into her body like a tidal wave. What was originally her warm, jade-like hands transformed into lethal claws, swinging at the young man who dared disobey her.

No one could see Lu Chen’s movements. The Red Maple hanging at his waist had already been sheathed, and a severed arm covered by dragon scales flew up into the air.

“Boom—”

The originally half-open coffin lid rose up along with Lu Chen, who was on top, as the furious woman’s back sprouted bone wings, flesh and blood rapidly growing atop them, kicked open the lid with her slender legs covered by white dragon scales. The originally enviable jade feet now turned into the sharp claws of a fierce beast. Her elbow joints sprouted bone spikes, and in an instant she was transformed from a beautiful woman into a shuddering killing machine.

Lu Chen flipped into the air and used the opportunity to cut apart the flower branches entangling the agent and the little girl, then kicked the coffin lid elsewhere. He couldn’t help but smile as he landed on the ground.

That’s more like it. This guy is much more interesting to cut.

“What’re you guys staring at? Retreat,” Lu Chen commanded. The song had stopped, and along with the fact that he was facing off against the woman, which meant the effects of Kingship were gone.

The agents got up and looked dumbfoundedly at this godly young man, this legendary S-grade ace agent, without feeling displeased at all by his commanding tone. This battle was indeed not something they could interfere with; they would only be in the way here, as the initial encounter with the 3rd generation species made it really clear that this was not something they could solve by sheer number.

In the battlefield of the crusade against the pureblood Dragon Raja, numbers were never an advantage; only the hybrids who dared to look the dragons in the eye were qualified to fight them!

The woman did not prevent the agents’ retreat because she was locked in, locked in by the young man’s overwhelming killing intent.

Every second, the draconization of her body deepend. Her power was rising. As long as she could kill this young man, those weak, pathetic peasants could do nothing to prevent her from absorbing that tasty sacrifice.

In the command room, Officer Purtell finally breathed a sigh of relief. The S-grade ace agent finally arrived, and it seemed that he would have no trouble facing off against the 3rd generation species; he had taken control of the scene the moment he showed up.

But he then worriedly said into the broadcast screen: “Lu Chen, after the agents are at a safe distance, make it quick.”

Waiting for a pureblood dragon to complete her draconization was a very stupid thing to do.
