Leo looked around and as far as his eyes could see, there was water everywhere, making him remember the first floor of God Tower.
‘Anyway, let’s focus on the trial now.’
Leo stopped thinking about other things as he started planning for the trial.
‘Since the trial is underwater, my battle prowess would be greatly reduced and with my current strength, I can hold my breath underwater for a few hours without any problem.’
Leo was a legend-grade cultivator and of course, he could hold his breath underwater; however, his battle prowess won’t be the same.
‘Let’s begin the trial now.’
After thinking for a few minutes, Leo thought of various dangers that he might encounter after he dived into the water and at the same time, he prepared the respective trump cards for those dangers.
‘Before I search for the Devil Stones, it is better to make more other preparations.’
Leo didn’t dive into the water directly as he thought of something.

In an instant, Leo’s God Space was filled with 18 units of God Energy and adding to the previous God Energy he collected, Leo currently has 50 units of God Energy.
‘With these 50 units of God Energy, I can use [Absolute Merge] 50 times and upgrade the effects of the low-level potions and items.’
Leo didn’t think about the double merging as it would cost him six units of God Energy, one unit for resetting the cooldown for [Absolute Merge] and another five units for increasing the success rate to 100 percent.
‘Also, if I can accumulate 100 units of God Energy, can I use them to gain ascender’s status?’
Leo was still curious about the ascender’s status that the beasts he encountered had and wanted to see whether it was possible to become an ascender himself by spending 100 units of God Energy.
All the ascending beasts Leo encountered were at least two times more powerful than the regular beasts of the same grade.
Earlier, Leo saw that the Devil Serpent could progress to the next level of ascender’s status by spending 100 units. So, Leo was curious about it and wanted to test it.
Nevertheless, to do that, he needs to stop using God Energy for [Absolute Merge] and start accumulating God Energy.
‘Anyway, let’s start the trial. Hopefully, there are more legend-grade ascending beasts at the bottom of the ocean.’

Once he prepared everything, Leo took a deep breath and started moving towards the bottom of the ocean because the [Heaven’s Voice] hinted to him that the Devil Stones are at the bottom of the ocean.
Also, he was hoping to encounter legend-grade ascending beasts to increase the God Energy in his God Space.

After diving more for a while, Leo started feeling some kind of pressure on his body.
Even though it was very weak, Leo felt that it would only become stronger as he dived deeper into the ocean.

At the same time, Leo observed a school of familiar fishes coming towards him.
‘Devil Fishes? There must be more than a 1000 of them…excellent.’
Looking at the school of devil fishes, Leo forget about the pressure on his body and became excited.
In his eyes, they were the units of God Energy that were moving towards him to get absorbed by him.
‘Since they want to help me increase my God Energy, let’s fulfil their wish.’
With that thought in mind, Leo stopped going deeper into the ocean as he didn’t want to bother about the pressure while dealing with the devil fishes.
To kill all the devil fishes in that school of devil fishes, would take a lot of time; however, Leo was not bothered too much about it because there was no time limit for the trial.
‘Moreover, if I can accumulate 100 units of God Energy, I might become an ascending being.’
If Leo could become an ascending being, his defense and vitality would increase by a lot and it would help him fill the [Nether Rage Booster] with ease.

Before the Devil Fishes could reach him, Leo rushed towards them and used his fist technique to punch them to death.

For a moment, Leo was surprised and soon, he became excited as he started punching them to death.
Even though Leo’s strength was only at level 8 legend grade, thanks to the [Herculean Domain], he was able to overcome the two-level difference along with their ascending status.
Of course, while Leo was killing one or two devil fishes, the other devil fishes were using their sharp fins to leave many cuts on his face.
