Chapter 612.1 Tang Guo (part 1)
The bearded captain stared intensely at the sea surface a few hundreds of meters to their right. The rest of the crew also watched that area while holding their breath, not even daring to move.
Below the surface of the sea in the area they were looking at, a long shadow suddenly appeared, judging from its shape and size, it was a huge serpent.
“Is it a sea python?”
The bearded captain exclaimed. Sea serpents are rare, especially such a powerful one. Judging from the aura intensity that shook even space, this sea serpent should be at least immortal class.
Thinking of this, the body of the captain couldn’t stop trembling. In front of creatures of this level, their entire fleet is insignificant. It can destroy it easily with just a breath.
“Splash!”
With the sound of water breaking, the giant sea serpent suddenly emerged from underwater. A huge stream of water slid down from its head, creating a waterfall and causing the surrounding sea to vibrate.
At first glance, this giant serpent’s head alone had a diameter of 50 to 60 meters. Such a giant creature is quite rare.
Contrary to space behemoths that grow bigger as their strength increases, the high-level creatures of this planet aren’t necessarily big. By concentrating all of their energy into their energy core, they can keep a relatively small size despite their world-shaking strength.
The bearded captain had never set foot in space. Although he and most of the crew had seen many terrifying space behemoths on the network, they had never seen them in reality.
He rarely saw such a giant creature on this planet. Judging from the giant head with a diameter of 50 to 60 meters, this giant serpent has a body length of thousands of meters!
“What, what should we do?”
The crew beside the bearded captain froze in their places, their thinking seemed to have stagnated. They were terrified. All of them looked at the most experienced bearded captain, in hope of him having a solution.

The bearded captain smiled bitterly. His mental ability and cultivation base are higher than the rest of the crew, so he didn’t immediately lose the ability to think.
Unfortunately, although he was able to keep his thinking ability, this didn’t mean that he could find a solution to their current predicament.
The behemoth in front of them is the biggest creature he had ever seen, coupled with its unfathomable strength, their chance of escape is infinitely close to zero.
“Roar!!!”
Just when he was about to say something, the terrifying creature opposite them suddenly raised its head and roared. Under this roar, everyone on the boat fell to the ground and held their head in pain. Their eardrums were on the edge of bursting and their bodies started convulsing due to the sonic waves.
“Ahhh!!”
The bearded captain felt that something was penetrating his head, his mental power couldn’t stop shaking. He felt as if thousands of needles were penetrating his head, filling him with pain and driving him to the edge of collapse.
“I can’t take it anymore!”
Next to the captain, the lean man yelled with a flushed face. It wasn’t just him, the others also gritted their teeth and writhed in agony, looking like they were about to die.
Fortunately, after a few more seconds, the things that were rampaging across their mind retreated, causing them to feel a whole lot better. They finally relaxed as their body laid limp on the floor.
“This……”
The bearded captain was the first to recover. He stood up a little dazedly, then looked around. Everyone in the command ship laid on the group, looking powerless. He looked at the crew in the other ships and they were the same.
After a few more seconds, people from all corners of the fleet finally started moving, they writhed on the ground, struggling to stand up.

They stood up and looked around. Although they suffered some injuries, they were not fatal. Fortunately, none of them died.
“Huh…it hurts.”
The lean man staggered to his feet, and after looking around, he couldn’t help asking,
“Is that giant serpent still there?”
“It’s really gone.”
The other people also looked around at the turbulent sea. After not finding that monster, they rejoiced one after the other. They survived this disaster!
“Huh, I almost died here. What did that giant serpent do?”
After checking his body, one of the people on the bearded captain’s ship couldn’t help but ask.
“It’s a mental attack.”
Pondering for a moment, the bearded captain said,
“The pain we endured before is the pain of our souls getting torn apart. Fortunately, it lasted for just 10 seconds, or at least half of the crew would become idiots”
“It’s just that, why did that giant serpent attack us?”
The bearded captain fell deep into his thoughts. After a while, a guess popped up in his mind.

“It was searching our memory!!”
The bearded man was panicking as he said this. He knew that such a forceful way of entering someone’s mind is very harmful. If even a little mistake occurs, the best situation would be mental problems. It could be much worse than that.
So, just now, all of them were infinitely close to death.
After hearing the guess of the captain, the crew gasped. They were all scared and puzzled. Why did that serpent search through their memory? What was it looking for? And why didn’t it kill or eat them?
“It doesn’t matter!”
The captain waved his hands and said,
“Everyone prepare yourself, we will leave this place and go back.”
No one objected to this order. Compared to income and wealth, their life is more important. Everyone returned to their post, then started manipulating their ships to go back.
“Boss, it seems that we suffered a great loss this time.”
The lean man walked to the side of the bearded captain and said with a wry smile.
Hearing that, the captain helplessly shook his head and said,
“What can we do? Life is more important than money. Moreover, we don’t know if that serpent has left or not. It’s unknown whether we can survive if we meet again.”
“Haah.”
