Chapter 483: A Three-Way Fight
Chapter 483: A Three-Way Fight
“One down…let’s find the next one…” Axel smiled looking at the figure swallowed by the group of beasts.
He then took off and and moved around before finally seeing another figure in distance who was retreating while slowly defending himself.
“Bang!”
He didn’t hesitate to shoot. The rules prohibited attacking each other until the 4th day. But it meant that it was fine as long as you didn’t cause direct harm….
All of the bullets fired by him didn’t hit the target but instead did the job to distract him.
How can one be calm when bullets rain?
The guy’s movements became restrained as he cursed the person shooting from the distance. The pressure on him increased and inevitably he was struck by a beast’s claw and his injury aggravated.
“Hmmn…smart guy….but too bad..” Axel smiled when he saw that the guy had suddenly changed his path and was charging towards him.
It seemed he wanted to get Axel into the mess and get rid of him at the same time.
But Axel wasn’t in a hurry. He allowed the guy to close in and when the person was a few meters away from the building where Axel was positioned, something strange occurred.
The ground below his feet suddenly liquified and he immediately fell into the sticky swamp.
The guy immediately raised his head to look at Axel. At this close of a distance, he could clearly see him smiling while waving at him.
He knew he had fallen into the enemy’s trap.
But he was sure that after him, the beasts would chase after Axel. But the next instant, he saw Axel draping over a cloak and his body disappeared.
The guy almost puked out blood in anger. He was almost about to pass out when realized a dark shadow looming over him.
He didn’t need to turn back to know that a beast had pounced on him. He immediately yelled forfeit and his body was covered in a strange light before he disappeared.
….
In the indoor stadium, Max and Mark were busy creating the dummies. More than half of them were already stored into Max’s spirit world.
Mark brought another batch of dummies and transferred it to Max. He could only carry ten of them at once as the dummies were to be handled with care. They were fragile like a weak human and could break if handled roughly.
“There are twenty more. It should be in the basement. Let’s hurry up…” Max said as he looked at Mark.
As they were about to move, Max’s face suddenly changed. He grabbed Mark and threw him aside.
“Boom!”
An explosion sounded and the doom shook.
“Hahaha!!! I knew it!! It had to be you…the damn human successor!!”
Max looked at Bayu who had just barged into the dome with the Human Faced Spider behind.
Bayu seemed to have realised that something was off. He had fought with Lear and knew that he manipulated metal and didn’t have enough control on earth to raise a wall.
Not to mention, Mark whom he had seen along with Lear had a heat radiating from him showing that he was a fire user…
So, who was the one who had raised an earth wall to trap his teammates? Why was Lear alone? Where were his teammates?
Something was definitely off….
In the end, he decided to turn around and bullseye. He had hit the mark.
«Mark: Hurry up to the basement…I will hold on here…»
«Lear: Return….»
Max was swift in making decisions. He looked at Bayu and then at the Human Faced Spider.
Bayu shouldn’t make a direct attack according to rules but he could never be sure. They were enemies and the one who would love to see a another die even if it meant getting a penalty.
Both the people shared the same sentiments.
The Human Faced Spider looked at the two humans and in its eyes both were on one side.
But in reality it was going to be a three way fight.
Max and Bayu weren’t willing to take the initiative while the Human Faced spider was more than happy to tear the two apart.
It opened its mouth and released a breath attack at Bayu.
Bayu immediately moved towards Max planning to take him into the range of attack.
Max snorted at his obvious intention and flames burned in his hand. He immediately punched up in the air and sent a fist full of flames up towards the ceiling.
“Boom!”
Bayu cursed as a larger part of a pillar came crashing down on him. He immediately waved his hand erecting the wind barrier above him and somehow managed to get away safely.
But the breath attack even though having missed its target was still powerful enough to send him crashing into the stands.
Max immediately followed after the guy. If he was alone and away from this guy, the beast would definitely target him and Bayu could get away.
The Human Face spider immediately attacked Max. It’s with razor-sharp legs were ready to slice Max apart.
Max immediately took out his spear and parried the attack. As he tried to retreat, a strong gale blew throughout the stadium.
Max felt that he was being pushed towards the beast and knew it was that b*stard’s doing.
Max looked at him and saw a sneer on his face.
“Flare!”
Flames burst out of Max’s body and he set the entire place ablaze. He knew that Mark would be fine in flames but someone else might not be.
Bayu’s face twitched as he stopped the gale and dodged the flames which were exploding everywhere.
The Human Faced Spider screamed as it was engulfed in flame and retreated a few steps.
“Aren’t you a dignified Commander of the Heavenly Demon?” Max looked at Bayu.
He had enough of this…small games…he wanted to play big…and kick this guy out….but he definitely wouldn’t be the first to attack.
“Stop playing around. If you really have the guts to come straight at me….or are you bluffing to be a commander?”
“Sorry to say but I didn’t hear about any coward like you among the commanders of Heavenly Demon….”
Bayu’s face had turned ugly under Max’s provocation. He would be a fool if he didn’t know what Max was trying to do. But it still made him angry. He had his pride…and it was being trampled upon by this human…
Only if he had recovered his strength, he would have definitely crushed him underneath his finger.
Max smiled looking at the guy. He would like to see whether this guy who had run unrestrained in the Ancient era could take it lying down today…
