Chapter 489: The Great Sin

Chapter 489: The Great Sin

Max continued to rush towards the area at his full speed, he didn’t hide himself as he didn’t want his own teammates to miss him accidentally.

“Hmmn?”

Max frowned as he suddenly came to a stop. There was a group of six ahead who seemed to be quite lively.

“Isn’t that an Arcane runt?” One of the guys said as his eyes fell on Max.

These people were from Trinity and the b*stard who Lear got into trouble with was leading the pack.

Melan Roxely…..

“It’s you….” Melan recognised Max’s face.

Max didn’t reply but felt something was off from the smirk on the group’s face.

“Where is that guy? I didn’t see him around. Don’t tell me he got kicked out before even meeting me?” Melan asked with a smile.

“I don’t have time to fool around with you…” Max said as he looked at him and prepared to leave.

But one of the guys suddenly walked up to block his path. The guy had a huge build and was a lot taller than Max.

“Why are you in such a hurry my friend? Let’s have a word or two…” The guy said as he put his palm on Max’s shoulder.

Max frowned.

“Let him go, his friend is in danger….” Another one said with a laugh.

Max’s face sank on hearing them. It seems that these guys had already come across whoever was in trouble in that direction…

And from the looks of it, they definitely wouldn’t have helped….he just hoped that they didn’t create any more trouble….

But, that was very unlikely considering the enmity between them.

«Namen: Garth is out it seems….»

The message made Max frown even harder. It seems he was late indeed.

They had their first elimination and now Max was no longer in a hurry to leave.

He suddenly grabbed the palm on his shoulder and tightened his grip before pulling it down.

“Aaahhh!!!”

A scream escaped the guy’s mouth and he was brought down to his knees.

The situation immediately became tense and a few of them had already pulled their weapons out

“Wait!”

Before the guys could rush to Max, Melan raised his hand and they stopped.

Max smiled as he looked at them and further tightened his grasp making the guy scream even louder.

Melan looked at Max. He felt that he had underestimated the fellow. He could tell that Max was baiting them to strike.

This situation was quite a messy one. His teammate was the one to initiate physical contact. On the other side, Max had just lifted his hand using a bit too much strength.

The situation was too vague to decide who should face penalty, In that case, the next move was deciding factor. One wrong move and they could be facing the penalty.

Max knew it too, hence didn’t get much aggressive and released the guy’s hand.

“What’s wrong? Even in a group you don’t have the balls to attack?” Max asked as he swept his gaze through them.

The hot headed ones immediately turned red in anger. But Melan remained cool headed and restrained his team calmly.

“Since, you cowards don’t have anything for me then scram…you are blocking my path…” Max said as he waved his hand at them.

“Hahaha…go and look for your friend….you will find him…only if he could have broken through the blockade we set up…” the huge guy said with a laugh as he continued to hold his palm which had been held by Max.

Melan looked a bit displeased that the person had admitted it. It was after all, not something to be proud of. But that was all it was, he wasn’t afraid of anyone, not to mention it was a good strategy in the competition.

‘As I thought….’

A chill flashes past Max’s eyes. If it was the fourth day, he wouldn’t have minded sending a few of them back considering that he didn’t want to show his entire strength…

After all, there was a possibility that these people were under the surveillance of the broadcasting team.

“Let’s go…” Melan commanded as he gave Max a look before leaving.

“You better hide from the fourth day and don’t let us catch you….Arcane runt..” A few of the guys warned Max as they left.

Max didn’t pay any heed to their words. He would love to see just what can these people possibly do…

As the group went past, Max’s eyes flickered for a second and he suddenly turned around to look at the silent guy in the back of the group.

‘He is different…..just how many more of them are here….’ Max’s eyes were flickering with a strange light.

….

“Jeez….how could these lowly creatures dare to harm my handsome face…” A Narcissist was on his way to get back his girl.

“Don’t you get tired of it, Aijin?” There was another girl with him.

“I was born with this handsome face? Is this something you get tired of?” He asked in confusion.

“No…never mind..who am I trying to talk to..’ The girl sighed as she showed a delicate footwork techniques, it wasn’t fast but she dodged all the incoming attacks with ease.

Mr. Cool used the opportunity to deal a decisive blow with his sword and put an end to the beast.

“That technique of yours really amazes me every time I see it…when are you going to teach it to me…” Mr. Cool said as he looked at her.

“Get lost! This is a family treasure…” the girl said she glared at him. Mana techniques were precious and rare as unicorns who would give it out so easily.

“Aren’t we family, you are my girl…there is nothing mine and yours between us…it’s ours…” Mr. Cool said as he tried to hug her from behind only to be met with her sharp elbow strike.

He immediately grabbed his stomach and staggered back a few steps as his face twitched in pain.

“Hmph! On how many girls have you used this line to begin with?”

“You are the only one, Tia…” Mr. Cool said in pain.

“Why don’t you say it in front of Venice again then?” Tia looked at him and snorted.

Mr. Cool sighed, ”Just look at my face. I am doing this all for you….if you try to horde me all by yourself…you will be cursed for being too greedy. My heart can’t let you bear this sin….if for you I have to give myself to others, I don’t mind it….its all for you my love…”

Tia rolled her eyes at him.

“Well, if that’s the case then do you mind if I chose the next person whom you are going to give yourself to?”

Mr. Cool’s eyes lit up suddenly, he couldn’t even believe his ears.

“Yes, if you want to help me share the burden…then sure…” Mr. Cool said, maintaining the pained look on his face.

“Ok, I will inform Pelican then…” Tia said with a smile.

Mr. Cool froze when he heard that. Pelican was one of Tia’s brothers who had a different taste from the masses. Even remembering the dude’s gaze and those rippling muscles coupled with the flirtatious smile gave chills to Mr. Cool.

“Well, it will be a great sin for girls to horde you…everybody should get a chance, don’t you think?” Tia smiled but she looked like a demon to Mr. Cool.
