Chapter 642: The Overbearing Lord
Chapter 642: The Overbearing Lord
“Today, I will let you experience first hand what it feels like to be part of a battle at my level.”
Max didn’t even have the chance to accept Roman’s proposal. The guy just grabbed him, and before Max knew anything, they were moving at a terrifying speed.
Roman was extremely fast, and if not for the mana barrier that he had put in front, even Max would have difficulty seeing what was going around.
‘Is he really a Grand Master?’ Max was really doubtful about the information. He was really feeling a overbearing energy around Roman, and that wasn’t something he felt around any Grand Master Tier Mage.
“Whoosh!”
Suddenly, Roman changed his course went crashing down towards the ground at the speed of lightning.
“Crackle!”
With his figure engulfed in a bright flash, he appeared on the surface with Max by his side.
“Let’s go,” Roman dispersed the mana around him, and began to calmly walk ahead.
Max looked around the area, and his eyes constricted.
They were around outside Omen Roxley’s Villa.
Max could see what was going here.
It was about to happen.
“Are you really prepared for this?” Max couldn’t help, but ask him. He didn’t think that Melinda would have allowed him to take immediate action against them unless they had some solid proof.
“Prepared for what? These guys have crossed the line, I don’t care anymore. I will think what to do after killing them,” Roman said with a smile. But, it definitely didn’t look like one to Max.
“Stop there!”
Two figures immediately appeared in front of them as Max and Roman closed in on the Villa.
They were the guards of the Villa.
When the two noticed that the person visiting was none other than the Lord himself, their faces immediately turned pale and they went down on one of their knees.
“I apologize for my rude conduct, my Lord.” The two simultaneously spoke.
“It’s fine, I am here to meet Omen.” Roman waved his hand and took a step forward.
“Master Roman is not present in the Villa at the moment, my Lord.” The two guards informed.
“Is it?” Roman asked with a smile as he looked at the two. But, they kept their heads low, not daring to raise them up.
“In that case, let me show you a magic.” Roman laughed and then looked at Max, “You watch too.”
“It’s called, how to make people appear out of thin air.”
An evil smile leaked out on Roman’s face as the mana around seemed to plunge into chaos. It began wreak havoc around before moving around Roman like a tornado and rising up into the sky.
Roman raised his hand and Max felt all the hairs on his body rise. He couldn’t help but look above to see the clouds beginning to brighten up with a charge. It was about to strike.
“Tadahh!” Roman brought his hand down, performing the magic trick as a huge pillar of lightning came crashing down on the Villa.
“Boom!”
A storm was immediately kicked as the impact occurred and fierce gales ripped apart any nearby objects to pieces.
Max immediately brought his hands forwards, but his feet were still being pushed backwards as he felt a stabbing pain all over. As he was about to make a move to maintain his holding, a mana barrier erected in front of him.
Max raised his head and saw that Roman had put one of his hand in front of him to erect the barrier. He then flew into the sky while dragging Max closely by his side, almost at his arm’s reach.
“See and learn..” Roman muttered as his hands suddenly busted in lightning, and he moved. Max immediately concentrated, but his eyes could only see a vague image as the clash occurred.
“Crackle!”
Four figures separated with three on one side and one on another.
“What is the meaning of this, my Lord?” Omen glared at Roman with an ugly face. Behind him were two more Elders whose faces were not any better than his.
“I just wanted to show this kid a magic trick, nothing much.” Roman laughed, and Omen’s face turned even more grimmer. He already had an idea why this guy was here.
“How was it? Didn’t I say that I will make them appear out of thin air?” Roman looked at Max with a smug face.
Max looked at him, and then at the three in front, “Weren’t these guys here from before? I wonder why the guards lied to us?”
“You are joking! It was my magic.” Roman retorted as he looked at Omen, “You weren’t in the Villa from before right? You guards didn’t lie, did they?”
Omen grinded his teeth in anger, but he knew that Roman didn’t have any proof. At least he had to keep his calm, until one was provided, “That doesn’t matter. It’s my choice whom I want to invite to my Villa. And, I don’t know who gave you the right to destroy it…”
“It’s only the start, you will realize it’s going to get worse in a minute.” Roman’s tone suddenly turned serious and a silence immediately engulfed the place.
“I don’t understand what you mean by that.” Omen wasn’t going to admit it.
“I am sure you do.” Roman looked at him.
“Are you aware of the consequences of your actions? You can’t threaten us like this for no reason.” One of the elders by Omen’s side spoke out as well.
“Whoosh!” Lightning flashed and before anyone could see anything, Roman was already standing in front of the elder.
“Consequences? Did you think about it when you decided to make a move on my family?” Roman put his hands on the man’s shoulder and stared at him as the guy gulped breaking out in sweat.
“You can’t accuse us of such heavy crime without any evidences!” Omen’s face turned contorted as sweat began to form on his forehead and the same was true for the other two elders.
“Evidences? Well, I don’t have them..” Roman sighed as he turned his head to look at Omen. And, this immediately made them feel relieved inwardly.
They thought that they were going to make out of the situation.
But, it wasn’t so.
“Crunch!”
The sound almost made everyone feel chill behind their scalp. And, when they turned to look towards the source of it. They could only see Roman holding the Elder by his face as his body hung in the air lifelessly .
“You thought that Melinda was a tougher opponent because she could play mind games. But, have you ever seen an unreasonable beast?” Roman let go of the man’s face and his body plummeted to the ground.
“You were lucky until now that I allowed Melinda to do her mind…”
“Because, I don’t need a reason to kill..”
