Chapter 828 Old Man Sun To Rescue?

Chapter 828 Old Man Sun To Rescue?

  Yule Family, Ocien.

”Patriarch, there is a person seeking an audience with you..” A person came up to the Lord and spoke in a polite manner.

”Is it the same guy?” Old man Sun asked as he looked at the butler.

”It’s the same token from before..” The butler wasn’t sure whether it was the same guy, but he surely recognized the token.

Old man Sun’s face twitched upon hearing that. He knew why Naze had come again. It was obvious that Max hadn’t returned

’Damn it! Why in hell do I have to do this?!’ Old man Sun cursed inwardly in anger as he asked the butler to send the guy in.

A minute later, a person entered his chambers..

”We meet again, Patriarch.” Naze smiled as he looked at the old man, but the old man didn’t seem as happy as him.

”I am here to escort you to the back mountains..” Naze further said with a smile.

”Hmph! What have you thought of me? I was about to go on my own. There is no need to come and check on me.”

’Yeah..u definitely would have..’ Naze sneered at him sarcastically. Of course, he wasn’t foolish enough to say that to his face. In fact, what came out of his mouth was totally opposite of that, “Of course, I dare not to doubt your sincerity, Sir. I am just here to accompany you because I know that is the least I could do at this point as I know I am going to be useless for you..”

’As if I am going to believe your sugarcoated words…’ Old man Sun snorted inwardly. He knew this brat didn’t trust him, and it was probably Max who had told him to do come and check on him.

Actually, he might not have gone if Naze didn’t visit.

But, now there was no choice. He had his pride on the line, and of course, he didn’t want to offend Max. The brat was a little devil. Who knew how he would make him suffer once he got out.

….

Back Mountains, Ocien.

It didn’t take long before two figures appeared beneath the mountain.

”Sir, take care..” Naze obviously wasn’t going above. He didn’t want to get involved in this mess. After all, there was no guarantee that he wouldn’t be caught by the Crimsons just for entering the range with the old man, as it would probably mean that he too was someone who knew about them.

Old Man Sun gave him only a look before heading up the mountain. But, his face twitched when he saw that the guy was still waiting for him to disappear. It was as if he believed that the old man would turn and run away if he left.

’These damn brats! They really don’t know how to respect their elders…’

Ancestor Hall, Crimson Spatial Pouch.

The two Matriarchs were in the hall as usual. Recently, their topic of discussion was Max.

”The brat really has got too much energy…” The Matriarch spoke with an unpleasant look on her face. She didn’t like how Max had tried to escape so many times. This clearly showed that he had no fear of them at all. And as the Matriarch, she didn’t like when things were not under her control.

And, this was the current situation between her and Max.

She couldn’t actually be too brutal to the brat due to her sister, and of course, her own conscience as well. The brat was her Great grandnephew too.

”He really is fearless..I am telling you this approach is not going to work on him. I think it’s better if we take him out, and talk with him while telling him the facts. We can even ask Erina to be there, their friendship would make things a lot easier to proceed ahead..” The Second Matriarch spoke her mind.

”But, what about the Ancient Families..should we ignore that factor?”

Suddenly, footsteps sounded in the Hall, and Erina’s Aunt, Kel, entered the hall before the two could further continue their conversation.

”What’s the matter?” Matriarch asked as she looked at her with a calm face.

”It seems that Grandpa Sun is here to meet you…” Kel replied with an odd look on her face. She knew that the two old ladies had asked for the least amount of activities at the entrance. Currently, only Erina was the one going in and out of the place.

Aside from that, every other activity had been stopped. It was because of Max and his group from Ancient Families who had come to Ocien recently.

”What does that brat want? Didn’t I ask him to lay low for a while?” Matriarch asked with a frown. Old man Sun had already been spotted by the Ancient Family, it was a bad idea for him to be coming here.

”Send him back..” Matriarch waved her hand.

”He said that it’s very important..” Kel replied with a forced smile on her face. Old man Sun had already told that he wouldn’t be leaving as the matter was very important.

The Matriarch frowned upon hearing that, and had to change her decision.

”Fine..bring him in..”

Kel nodded, and then slowly left the hall.

Matriarch on the other side muttered with a little annoyed face, “It better be important..”

Soon, Old man Sun arrived in the hall, and greeted the two old lady.

”…”

A complete silence engulfed the hall as the two Matriarchs stared at him waiting for him to speak about the important topic.

”…”

”Are you going to speak?” Matriarch asked with a frown when Old Man Sun almost didn’t speak for a minute.

”Um..yeah..” Old man Sun forced a smile on his face while he felt like crying inwardly. He had hyped himself up earlier to come in and settle the matter. But, now that he was standing here, he sure wasn’t finding it easy.

He didn’t know where to start, and how to go about it.

”Actually..umn…I..”

”Is this supposed to be some kind of joke, you brat?” The Second Matriarch gave him a look when she saw old man Sun struggling to come up with words.

”Umn..no..how could I..even if you give me enough guts I wouldn’t dare to..” Old man Sun shook his head.

”Get to the point already…” Matriarch’s voice was sounding more and more pissed with each of her words.

”Y-Yes..” Old Man Sun nodded and finally he took a deep breath in before speaking up, “I-I am actually here…to bring….Max back..”
