The Baby Isn’t Yours

Chapter 4

Chapter 4

Their dresses fluttered like coloured petals. The wives wore beautiful lace as if they wanted their dress to be the most stylish. Yet their trinkets seemed to abide by the certain rules that they should not be more beautiful than Dame Helena’s, who was at the center of the crowd.

Helena Terloen, was the beautiful wife of the previous Duke of Terloen who was dying of an illness.

A close relative of the royal family, her son and Duke Terloen were magicians, who were powerful enough to change history and had become a young minister of the imperial enchantment.

The beautiful middle-aged woman attracted people from any place.  She always wore an elegant tone on her smiley face and was kind to anyone, but people were afraid of her. Even the Marquis Carl Burt, the socialite, would turn into a gentle sheep in front of Helena.  When she laughed, the socialists laughed. When she cried, the socialists also shed tears.  Stopping her steps, they all stopped and looked at what she was looking at, even if she didn’t speak like now.

“Madam, is there anything you have left behind? There is nothing behind you.”

It was a long walk, and the western villa was very far away, but the wives were to be her eyes to go back as far as Hellena wanted.

Still, very quietly, looking at somewhere on the second floor of the western villa, she turned away with a bloody smile.

“I did not leave, I will not come to see.”  “I’ve come to see you? Oh, then you’ll come again will you?”  “No. Thanks to Kalia, who was hiding something. I saw you.”

At Helena’s confusing words, people looked at each other and shook their heads but couldn’t ask her directly what she had meant by that.

“Hiding.”

Helena had already taken steps, and they also followed her.  As soon as she entered the door to the main palace, a window opened somewhere on the second floor of the villa, which Helena looked out at.

The wide window on the open terrace fetched in a rich breeze and made the draped curtains dance. In addition the white chiffon also fluttered, as hundreds of documents piled up on the desk were scattered in the air.

In the shadows the golden hair of Prince Louis Mond, who sat at his desk, looking at documents, grew disturbed by the wind.  A smidge of sun hit Louis Mond’s blonde hair like honey and sparkled. The prince then swiped his beautiful hair with one big finger and took a short sigh and looked up.

“Hah.”

He shot his cousin a dirty look, who had turned his back towards him whilst grabbing the terrace railings, like the sea watching the land.

Standing with his back turned, he saw only his silver hair shining like a gift under the sunlight. His wide shoulders and straight back were terribly beautiful.

“Shyman. Why did you suddenly open the window? Put the flying documents down right now.”

His back turned, the man did not answer, but lifted his hand which bounced lightly.  The movement of the papers that were scattered in the air, with the crinkling of paper, soon stopped.

Shaking his fingers gently, the papers moved back to there original positions, as if they had been reversed in time. In this way he used too great a magic too trivially.

In this way, there was a lack of fairness for why his talents and abilities were so rampant. Even if he was born as the son of the emperor, he would still feel a sense of deprivation, but how helpless would the other wizards be on the same path of helplessness in human vanity?…..

No, it was too overwhelming to be envious of Louis.

‘That’s why the chief with his unkind and bad personality from the magic department receives his own respect. Louis Mond recounted bitterly, turning his eyes to the hundreds of papers that were bothering him.

“Can’t you go? Huh.”  “But why aren’t you?”

He noticed his slight excitement and knew there was only one thing that didn’t make him so cold and indifferent to the world. Louis Mond, who had left his signature on the confirmation paper with a large fountain pen, suddenly spat out that person’s name.

“Are you waiting for Kalia?”

Shyman’s head, which was fixed on one of the particular words, turned slightly to the side.   Only his silhouette stayed the same, his mouth shook slightly, murmuring.

“I am delighted that the emperor of the future of this empire is so attentive. Of course, the servants work like dogs without a break. Although, a tyrant does need to eat.”

If he become the emperor,  the first thing he would do would be to seal the mouth of the young chief with his own magic. Yes. His  biggest advantage of this plan would be that he only needed to use some magic and he would be put in a state of silence that could be used without a spell.  Though if he didn’t have a mouth and needed to use magic, he would need a summoner again.

Though he felt uncomfortable, his concrete thoughts about his small wish that he one day wanted to fulfil, had been undone.

“When does Kalia come?”

Although, his mouth said something his eyes didn’t move from the paper. The three things that had to be done by the prince, all required great skill but the prince still suffered from his work.

“Now.”

“Now?”

What? But in this case although he usually had many ideas. His hands paused and his  tongue didn’t utter a word. The same was true when you hear of an unexpected visit from a stranger.

Louis Monde raised his head and muttered as he thought it was strange. “Today I know it’s a knight’s holiday. It’s weird. Suddenly not going on holiday and why would you come?”

“Well,” Shyman, whose shoulders shook murmured, watching at the pair of long legs

walked down the long corridor from the roof.

“I came to see you,” the sound of his words faded slightly, as his mouth continued moving.

“You must have come to see me.”

He didn’t know where his confidence was from. A subject that could never die or tell the truth.  All in all, Shyman was quite confident about Kalia.

So it was true that Kalia was a typical craftsman who only knew how to fight with swords. Standing at the forefront of the war without an hour of doubt and by her side an invisible glass wall called Shyman, which allowed no one to approach her. Even Prince Louis Mond who was on a horse.

In that sense, he knew that his confidence allowed him to be the only male left close to Kalia, but the confidence that Shyman showed  seemed a bit different these days.  Somehow, Kalia seemed to have a heart. I guess something must have happened a couple of months ago.

To be precise, it’s almost since the Victory Party for Kalia, who came back after sweeping the floor during  the maritime battle about two months ago.  For some reason, there had been days when Shyman was strangely angry, or stared at the sky, or even closed his eyes as he thought of something.

Then, even if he saw Kalia, he was either frustrated or was very upset. But in contrast, Kalia had been in a similar pattern for two months.  No. In fact, Kalia had dealt with Shyman for ten years in a consistent manner. He couldn’t understand why that great young minister had been so confident these few days.

“Well, I’ve got things to do, like the prince, so don’t mind me.”

Anyway, coming here was enough as he was able to see her face.  “But I was going to see you in the evening because of a business trip tomorrow, good.”

“I hope you leave my office as I have meeting soon,” he said. “No, that did not mean to get out.”

“Done. I don’t want to be involved in your business. So I’ll go.”

As the guards announced that Kalia had arrived, Shyman was scared and indecisive as to stay. Shyman, who laughed at the thought, climbed onto the railing.

“Why does something happen while I have to go?” Getting ready for a dramatic encounter.

“I want to leave through the door …” ” But I don’t want to meet like this, but I want us to meet with each other. Oh, what are you going to talk to Kalia about later? Let me know.”

As he watched Shyman’s behaviour, Louis Monde was speechless and took it all the way.

“Hey, is the prince this funny?”  “You will be.  My dear cousin, look at how magnificent the  prince is, my dear.” How he dared call him my dear in person.

As he watched the disgusting face of Louis Monde, Shayman stood by the railing and exaggerated his greetings.

“By the will of his Majesty. “

Louis Monde gained victory in the fight with his brothers to become the crown prince.  The biggest contributor to his victory was Shyman and the Commander-in-Chief Duke Terloen.  The three had been struggling from a young age and together drew the future of the empire.

Louis Mond got up from his seat and jumped down the terrace to gaze at Shyman, who was walking through the garden.  A man with silver hair that glittered like the surface of a smooth lake.  Only those who had reached the line of enlightenment would have gotten a special colour like that.

For Louis Monde, Shyman was needed because the empire he needed had to be strong and young again.  In that sense it was necessary.  If Louis Monde didn’t have a heart, he wouldn’t have risked his life for the future of the empire, his land and council…

“Come in, General Kalia.”

He hated how Louis Monde was by her side and he no idea why. No one could destroy that man’s love for Kalia.

Louis Monde then turned around and looked at someone beyond the closed door.  Then as always, with a moderately friendly smile.

“Come in.”
