Chapter 337 - Annoying!
Chapter 337: Annoying!
“Why don’t I welcome you instead?”
Yao Tang had been standing at the side this entire time. She glanced up at the other woman with her head tilted to the side.
Liu Lin clenched her fists.
Was Yao Tang simply showing off that she was Uncle Yao’s daughter? Was she trying to insinuate that she was the outside here?
Who the hell was this woman?
Liu Lin was the one accompanying Aunt Jiang and Uncle Yao for the last ten years!
Plastering a smile on her face, Liu Lin quickly walked down the stairs and reached the spot where Yao Rang would normally sit. A cold look flashed across her eyes.
“Sister Yao Tang, why don’t you come and sit?”
The sentence almost made it seem that Liu Lin was the host. Plus, she could get a good impression from Yao Rang and Jiang Wan.
Her implications were subtle, but Yao Tang saw right through her act.
“You shouldn’t wait for us. Please, you’re the guest here,” Yao Tang calmly said, waving her head. “Sit down and make yourself feel at home.”
A guest?
Liu Lin suppressed the urge to scoff.
......
Even then, if looks could kill, Yao Tang would’ve already been buried six feet under.
That bitch!
She had done it on purpose!
Yao Tang, however, couldn’t even be bothered with these petty thoughts. She just felt that Liu Lin was an annoying fly she couldn’t swot away. She just couldn’t stop talking!
Lin Xin, her friend, had also liked to talk, but Liu Lin wasn’t even one-tenth to Lin Xin’s sweetness. The only reason she even bothered speaking to this girl was that she didn’t want to embarrass Yao Rongand Jiang Wan.
In order not to talk to her, Yao Tang sat on the other end of the table.
As soon as Liu Lin saw where she was sitting, a trace of joy flashed across her eyes. Now that she was sitting at the other side of the table, she’d be far away from Uncle Yao and the others. Now, she’d really feel like an outsider.
However, the next flash of events stunned her.
Yao Rong and Jiang Wangrabbed their seats and sat next to Yao Tang. They didn’t even glance in her direction.
While Liu Lin still had a smile on her face, she was definitely close to breaking the chopsticks on the table.
What the hell?
Why were they sitting next to her?
Wasn’t Uncle Yao an avid believer of tradition?
He was usually seated in the middle of the table. He’d never change his seat. However, when Yao Tang took a seat in front of them, he switched his position.
Liu Lin gritted her teeth.
“Since Auntie and Uncle are also sitting here, I should also take my seat.” Liu Lin plastered a wide, fake smile on her face and walked over toward them. “You wouldn’t mind, right?”
Yao Tang didn’t say another word.
She sat at the end of the table to not hear Liu Lin’s words. She didn’t expect that girl to follow her!
There was actually one more seat between him and Yao Tang. Seeing this as her opportunity, Liu Lin came over and sat between them.
Yao Rong frowned in discomfort. He had wanted to hang out with his daughter after that long drive. And now, there was another person sitting in between them. What was this?
Liu Lin must’ve felt the tension because she immediately quieted down, lowering her head.
Noticing it, Jiang Wan picked up some food for Liu Linand smiled. “Why don’t you come and eat?”
“Yes, please eat.”
The atmosphere eased up a little and a smile bloomed on Liu Lin’s face. “Thank you. I’m touched you still remember my favorite food,” she said brightly. “I also remember your favorite food too. Here.”
