Chapter 835 - 835 She Had Offended Them
835 She Had Offended Them
“Are you done with work, Brother? Someone here is bullying me!”
Qin Min wailed, her eyes fixed on the two young men beside President Ma.
Everyone froze in shock.
What was she saying?
!!Who was she calling brother?
Heads turned, first toward Qin Jing, then to the two young men.
One of them nodded, his expression dark and unfathomable.
After finishing up for the day, Qin Rui had instantly hopped into the Qin family’s private plane and headed over to Beijing. It wasn’t until he had contacted Cheng Yan that he discovered his sister was also going to the same restaurant.
And that was why he had come to the Chunlai Hotel straight from the airport.
He and Cheng Yan had barely exchanged words when Qin Hao had sent his boss a message, saying that the girls had run into some trouble.
Needless to say, Qin Rui and Cheng Yan wasted no time coming to the restaurant.
Even if Qin Rui hadn’t made the reservation himself, he knew that his sister would never do something so preposterous as claim someone else’s private room.
Ma Chao pressed his lips together and glanced at the two young masters nervously. Unfortunately, they were too adept at masking their emotions, and he couldn’t tell what they were feeling at the moment.
It was for this precise reason that he grew even more worried.
Thankfully, he hadn’t bothered to introduce them to Madam Meng a while ago. If he had, he might just end up as a laughingstock among his peers.
If he really angered the young men, he might even lose some skin, or maybe a pound of flesh.
It certainly wasn’t worth risking that terrible fate for the sake of someone from the insignificant Meng family.
Qin Rui sized his sister up and looked her up and down before asking, “You’re not hurt, are you? I just got off the plane and rushed over right away.”
Cheng Yan, on the other hand, was staring intently at Yao Tang in the distance.
Ma Chao felt a shiver run down his spine.
Anyone with common sense could tell that these two young men must not be provoked in any way.
He sighed as he realized how he managed to score a meeting with them.
He had a project proposal that required Young Master Cheng’s approval, but the young man was too busy to oblige him with an appointment.
Ma Chao was surprised, therefore, to be notified that Young Master Cheng would be meeting him today. Although puzzled by the unexpected development, he had chucked it all to his good luck.
Now, it seemed that Young Master Cheng hadn’t come to meet him, after all, but someone else. The Ma Group’s project was nothing more than a trifle that the young man made use of to achieve his own goal.
He understood then that there were other, personal forces that propelled these two young powerhouses to move and make decisions.
As for the manager, he was no dimwit. He had high ambitions, after all. He immediately understood the situation after Qin Jing and Qin Rui’s exchange.
He had been around the upper class for so long that he was able to anticipate their needs and orders before they were even given.
“No, no, you’ve got it wrong! You’ve surrounded the wrong people. These kids are not to be chased out!” he yelled frantically at the security guards.
He then turned and pointed at Madam Meng and her party. “These are the troublemakers! Drive them away. No, stop looking at me like that and do your work! Take them outside and get back to your posts!”
The guards glanced at each other in exasperation before putting away their batons and walking over to Madam Meng.
In the blink of an eye, the situation was reversed, and it was Yao Ran and her companions who were being sent out of the restaurant.
At this point, Madam Meng finally grasped the pickle that she was in.
She had founded the Meng Group with her husband, after all. She had her fair share of cunning. Her mind raced as he considered her options.
Since they were being chased out, that only meant that she had offended Ma Chao and the two young men in one way or another. Judging from Ma Chao’s attitude, it was likely that he held little authority compared to the other two.
Madam Meng couldn’t afford to be chased out of a renowned establishment. Other than the public humiliation it would bring, she would also be leaving a bad impression on President Ma.
In which case, her prospective cooperation with the Ma Group would be next to impossible.
No, forget about a business deal, she might not even get the chance to meet up with him again in the future.
Without warning, Madam Meng turned on her heel and landed a sound slap on the waiter’s cheek.
Pa!
A red handprint began to form on the poor man’s skin.
He hadn’t seen it coming, and he was clearly still trying to process what had just happened. He held his face and stared at Madam Meng in a daze.
He had never thought that this wealthy and classy woman would actually hit her.
“What are you doing, Madam Meng?” he croaked out as he emerged from his stupor.
