THE DAWN OF THE NEW WORLD

Chapter 1125 Oldest Ones

*CRACK*

*SNAP*

Jin Wang's hand that was covering Princess Ceni's face twisted at a 90-degree angle right before she swiped her hand from left to right-

*KSHHHH*

-cutting open his torse from the middle. Before he could even say anything a wave of invisible force sent him flying back where he was pinned to the wall unable to move an inch.

Suffice to say he was more than a little surprised at the extraordinary show of force. He tried to break free but it felt like large chains were tying him to the wall.

Even when using over 20% of his usual strength Jin Wang was unable to move that he finally connected the dots.

"Telekinesis?"

Princess Ceni was now standing up facing him. Her eyes glowed bright red as her feet left the ground. Everything around her was pushed to the very edges when a second wave erupted from within her body.

The floor cracked beneath her floating figure and spiderweb-like cracks began spreading out in every direction. Only when it looked like the entire room was about to collapse on them did Jin Wang take action.

"That's ENOUGH! Wake up!" his booming voice created shockwaves that pushed Princess Ceni back several feet, forcing her out of the illusion.

Since Hao Xuan who was both the main target and source of power for the dreamscape was gone there was nothing left to hold it down and it collapsed in on itself.

The unceasing waves of force suddenly vanished and Jin Wang was allowed to fall back to his feet. Princess Ceni also realized what she had done.

"What happe-?! I'm sorry, I didn't know-I thought it was-"

"It's fine, no harm no foul," he casually replied.

"But your hand and-"

"Is all better, see?"

He said while waving his arm in front of her. Princess Ceni fell silent upon seeing basically no signs of injury other than a few drops of blood. She clearly remembered breaking his arm and cutting open his stomach but it was as if nothing had happened.

Even his clothes were back to their original condition, apart from a few blood stains.

'That's not simple healing...' she thought inwardly but chose to keep her concerns to herself at this time.

Dusting off his clothes Jin Wang approached the door while gesturing for her to join him, "So everything worked out? Hao Xuan is out?"

"Hm? Oh, yes. There was some trouble but it was fine. We got him out."

Jin Wang paused, "We?"

"Yeah, Ma Jiang had to step in for that last bit."

"And...you ALL came out?"

"Yes, why is that so hard to believe?" she looked at him with a half annoyed half questioning gaze but Jin Wang couldn't very well explain that they needed one person to stay connected to the real world at all times so their consciousness would not get lost behind the veil.

It was like leaving a spiritual trail of breadcrumbs and without one it was impossible to get back. That's why he had specifically warned Ma Jiang not to enter the dreamscape with them because otherwise even if they broke free there would be no way for them to get back to their bodies.

And yet, it had happened.

'Someone else led them back?'

"No, no reason. Where is Ma Jiang?" he opted to change the subject rather than answer and be the target of her wrath which he had just found to be shockingly dangerous.

But Princess Ceni shrugged in response.

"Come then, we'll start with the obvious location first," he said leaping through the air towards the infirmary.

Princess Ceni passed the room where the grand priestess still remained sitting on her chair resting and stood at the top of the stone staircase looking down at the city in the distance.

The cold wind prickled against her skin but for some reason she didn't feel as uncomfortable as she normally would have.

She hesitated for a moment before closing her eyes to focus inwardly. There was a strange kind of warmth emanating from within that she had never felt before. She felt safe and...happy?

'Is this what it feels like?' she mused.

The memories she had shared in the last dreamscape passed in front of her eyes making them wet.

She had lived a good life there, much better than she could have ever hoped for in reality. She got to experience a great number of things for the first time and if given the choice she would definitely choose to relive those moments once more.

'But they don't have to be just dreams. I can make them real!'

When Princess Ceni opened her eyes again all her doubts were washed away. She moved her hands in a circle utilizing the true strength of her father, the Vampire King's bloodline.

Invisible strings of force created from the power of her thoughts began surrounding her, pushing against the very air. The first time was a chance occurrence but this was by design.

She had unlocked one of the oldest abilities of her race, telekinesis.
