THE DAWN OF THE NEW WORLD

Chapter 73: Bloodline Limits

Chapter 73: Bloodline Limits

The rest of the 30 or so Mad Saint members were standing at full alert. Maddy, Kuo, and Hashirama were fighting against the three soldiers in the distance because even though they weren't using any special techniques or powers, the weaker realm soldiers would not be able to withstand the force from their bare punches.

And the reason they weren't using any powerful techniques was that it would draw a lot of attention to them. There were many beasts roaming around the area and using any strong Qi techniques would attract their attention. They would be akin to a bright light in the darkness of the night.

Hao Xuan used his Zanbatou without utilizing any Qi attacked Jiang Ling. Jiang Ling, on the other hand, was not using any weapons at all but instead his bare hands to block all of the attacks.

Each of his punches felt like they had the weight of several tons and after a few strikes, Hao Xuan's hands were becoming numb.

"The hell is this power, he is not even using any Qi to supplement his attacks, just the power of his body is that much?!" the more they fought, the more shocked Hao Xuan became.

"Damn it, if it goes on like this I'll lose," Hao Xuan gritted his teeth. Jiang Ling, on the other hand, was completely relaxed. He still had the hood but most of his face could be seen, or rather the mask he had on.

"Hmm?" Kuo frowned after trading a few punches with Steel, the Jia leader. "Why isn't he attacking?"

Back when he had fought against Monk, the fight was really fierce and he had to actually use his full power, but not it seemed like Steel was blocking and attacking once or twice, almost like a robot.

"Wait, where is their fourth member?" he suddenly remembered and then his expression changed in an instant.

"Not good! Cap-"

*BOOM*

Before he could finish a spear came flying straight at him.

"Hngh," he twisted his upper body in a strange way and barely dodged the spear but then came a golden fist and hit him in the chest at full force, sending him several dozen meters away and crashing down into the ground, creating a hole.

"You're late!" Steel turned towards the treeline behind him and said.

"Sorry, I got lost for a bit," said a voice, and Monk walked out. "Oh, it's you! How are you still alive?" he looked at Hao Xuan and asked with a surprised expression.

"Well, it doesn't matter, soon you will all be dead," he smiled.

"With just you? I don't think so," Hao Xuan looked at him and said calmly.

"No, not just me," he grinned and from behind him walked about three dozen Jia soldiers in full Iron armor. The four Jia soldiers including Monk were extremely tall, with a height of about 15 feet or 4.5 meters. This new armed regiment was about 10 feet or 3 meters tall on average, looking much smaller comparatively but killing intent was almost pouring out of their bodies which made them look like experienced soldiers.

"Ahh shit. I had to say that," Hao Xuan's expression changed.

"Mad Saints! Get ready," he turned his head and ordered and everyone got into formation.

"Kill all of them, other than him," Jiang Ling pointed at Hao Xuan and jumped back, standing next to Monk.

"KILL!" the new soldiers all had the exact same weapons, copper-colored longswords! They unsheathed them and ran straight towards the Mad Saints, still in formation.

Hao Xuan's expression turned unsightly. This was a properly trained army and together they were much more powerful. Not to mention with their massive statures, it felt even more oppressive.

With gritted teeth, he unleashed the full power of both his meridians and an invisible pressure descended on the battlefield. For the charging enemies, it felt like a massive weight had been placed on their shoulders and their speed visibly decreased, for the Mad Saints, their blood starting boiling and they felt like the heavens themselves were in their grasp.

"Kill them all! Leave none standing!" Hao Xuan ordered and took out his glaive and activated the Wrath of Deimos. But instead of the usual spider-like limbs from his back, a blood-colored armor appeared around his body. It was slightly transparent and looked it was made of glass. It was shimmering in red light and instilled awe in all the spectators.

Jing Wang looked at him in surprise and then a smile appeared on his face.

This was one of the forms of Wrath of Deimos. Hao Xuan had been trying to get control of it ever since he started learning it and during the fight with the beasts, he finally managed to reach a higher realm.

*ROAAR*

Hao Xuan roared like a beast and instead of waiting for them to come to him, he ran straight into them. The other Mad Saints followed after with only Jing Wang left standing in the back.

Kuo walked out of the hole with a little bit of trouble. Several of his ribs were broken and there was blood around his mouth.

"It was my bad for letting my guard down, it won't happen again," he said with an angry expression and jumped towards Steel with full power, destroying the ground under his feet.

"You're not a match for me," Steel smiled back and met the incoming sword with a punch, blocking it entirely. Kuo furrowed his brow thinking, "How strong is this bastard??!"

"We are low on time. Release your restraints, you have my permission," Jiang Ling said in a serious tone, and the three fighting against Maddy, Hash, and Kuo broke out in a grin.

"As you command!" they said at the exact same time and massive amounts of Qi burst out from their bodies.

Previously, the three soldiers named Steel, Ox, and Dagger were at the second, first and first Spirit realm respectively. But on Jiang Ling's permission, they unleashed their bloodline limits and leveled up by two stages each, reaching Fourth, third and third spirit realm.

Kuo, Maddy, and Hashirama's expression's turned deadly serious. Even before they were a handful, but now?
