The dragon’s harem

Chapter 2065: Yog’s Warning

What should she make? To tackle the situation, Merida decided to divide it into several steps and started from the top. First, her undergarments were the most important as she planned to make the ceremony quick and jump at Arad right after.

“Merida.” A fungal sprout grew out of her hand, and it looked at her with a demonic yellow eye. “Do we even need a bra? The mycelium holds us tight in place.”

Merida could feel the mycelium fibres inside her chest growing and making her breasts as dense as tire rubber, then, they were as solid and elastic as steel, able to withstand cannon fire without even deforming much.

“We might not have anything to hold in place, but they have other purposes, like looking good.” Merida surprisingly understood well what she wanted to wear underneath her clothes, and that was clearly because she only cared about her time with Arad and nothing else.

“I’m pale, got long black hair and green eyes, so pink or red won’t fit me. How about something black, an embroidered piece with something decorative.” She pulled several mesh panels from a large closet and set them on her desk. “Flowers won’t work, nor will hearts or anything common.”

The sprouting fungal eye looked at the mesh panels and looked disappointed. “Nothing fits your face, and the material is decent for mortals, but nothing worthy of us. How about we forget about the design for now and think about the material?”

Isabelle looked at them and smiled, “How about you weave your mycelium into threads? It should be strong and durable enough.”

Merida lifted her hand and released a few threads of white mycelium, looking at them for a second or two with a curious gaze. They were indeed tougher and more flexible than any silk or linen that she could get, they were even stronger than demon spider silk, and should have better magic conductivity.

“I’ll ask Mira to make me a loom durable enough to work on it. For the embroidery, let’s make it a simple spider web mesh.” Merida wrote that down and sucked her mycelium back into her body. Now that she had a clear plan for her bra, it was time to go a bit lower.

Isabelle leaned on the desk. “Well, how about you make it just like the bra? It would be nice if they matched. So black mycelium threads and a spiderweb pattern embroidery.”

Merida nodded as she wrote that down into the plan, but she still wasn’t satisfied. If she is to wear that under a skirt or a dress, she wants to cover it up just in case she needs to jump over a crowd or fly around.

“So something to wear underneath a skirt?” Kino sighed as it stretched away from Merida’s arm and turned into her humanoid form. “I don’t know much about humans, but for demons, what about a toxic gas cloud? One that is so toxic that it takes on a dense dark green color.”

Isabelle laughed and waved her hand. “Like she would wear a death-fart. Demons’ standards don’t work here, so we’d better think of something safer, like short pants.” She stood and lifted her skirt, showing Merida a pair of short underpants that looked like frilled diapers.

“Bloomers? might work. But I should tone the frills down a bit.” Merida approached Isabelle and took a better look at her bloomers, quickly shaking her head. “But would we have enough time to make something that complicated?”

Isabelle dropped her skirt and jumped to the floor. “Well, depends. We could always use already made ones. Even if I don’t have enough ’Assets’ to match you, I’m pretty sure one of the maids is packing something heavier than you.”

She stared at the seamstresses working in the workshop, “Girls, you all are noble ladies. Does any one of you have bloomers that fit her?” She pointed at Merida with her thumb, and all of the seamstresses shook their heads. Some had bloomers, but weren’t anywhere near Merida’s size.

In the end, when Merida drew the bloomers into her plan, they looked like sport trunks. But when a dark shadow covered the paper, Merida stared up with a frown. “What are you doing here?”

The one floating above her head was Yog, who just teleported into the workshop as if she owned the place. “Trunks? Even I wear them.” She then giggled. “But I would’ve much preferred the ones that come from the future.”

Merida swung her fist at her, and Yog floated away with a grin on her face. “You sure don’t take a joke, do you?”

“What do you want? I don’t have time to play your games.” Merida growled at her, and Isabelle was already moving to stand between them, but then Yog waved her arms. “Fine, I’ll get to the point since I don’t have much time to waste either.”

“Remember the Wizard War, the blue and red wizards’ mess?” Yog started spinning like a wheel until she stopped upside down. “A bunch of necromancers, druids, and zoemancers are forming a cult to go against you. Or should I say they already formed one? They are planning to target you during your ceremony.”

Merida’s face twisted into a frown. “Forget about my temper; Arad would reap them into pieces.” As aggressive and violent as she was, Arad was far worse than her if one of his wives got targeted. The last time he almost nuked a city was when Isdis almost got assassinated, and that had ended in a massacre as he executed everyone related.

“That’s why I’m here talking with you instead of him… no, that’s a lie; I just don’t want to go to him while he’s having some fun with the drakainas.” Yog giggled and then glared at Merida. “Arad would not just massacre them; he would burn an entire kingdom the moment they attack you, since they are funded by that nation called the Southern Merchant Union.”

She floated toward Merida and smiled. “You’re his wife, the queen targeted in that coming incident, so it’s your responsibility to remain calm and leash him well, since he’ll only listen to you, the one getting harmed.”

Merida sighed, “Arad isn’t that bloodthirsty; he won’t destroy a kingdom with all of its innocent people.”

“Oh, he will. He has mercy for people once, but not twice. Those are the same idiots who tried to attack the Free Beastlands and got repelled by him under Hati’s request. Arad knows that it is wrong to massacre an entire kingdom for that, but he’ll do it anyway to set an example. He is a dragon, not a human; keep that in mind.”

Merida sat down on her chair and sighed. “Fine. I’ll see what I can do. They are attacking me, so can I assume the reason is that they know I’m a demon lord?”

“Not really; they think you’re a witch who can control fungal zombies and that you have already gotten the Imperial Royal family under your insidious control.” She laughed, “If they knew you’re a demon lord, they wouldn’t have dared to set their eyes on you.”

Merida then stared at Yog. “Got it, I’ll get a plan going. But before you leave, I wanted to ask you… why do you always float upside down?”

“Oh, as much as I love my toes… I need the blood going to my brain to think better.” She tapped her skull, “I got a BIG BRAIN!”

“You’re a goddess…” Merida gave her a dubious look, and Yog laughed. “Give me a break; it’s a habit from when I lived as a mere halfling.”

“Even halflings won’t need to do that…”

“Look, my hair is red, my eyes and clothes blue… all I needed was a spider bite, but I got nothing.” She started spinning once again and then disappeared into a magical puff of smoke, only leaving the echo of her giggles.
