Chapter 2619: Rising power on all fronts
Chapter 2619: Rising power on all fronts
It was not difficult for the two men to make their decisions.
Zero Mint turned his gaze toward a massive volcano in the distance. The flames erupting from it were not crimson, but pure white, carrying a terrifying heat capable of burning not only flesh and blood, but the very soul of an enemy.
As for the Collapsing Lightning Emperor, his eyes focused on the skies above, where a gargantuan storm raged with overwhelming destructive force. Endless lightning flashed through its depths while crushing waves of gravity distorted the surrounding space itself.
The next second, both men turned toward the Scarlet King and gave solemn nods.
Cain did not waste a moment.
His eyes glowed with scarlet light as he extended both hands.
Immediately, the entire volcano tore free from the landmass, leaving behind a massive burning crater. At the same time, the colossal storm descended from the heavens. The two phenomena twisted violently as their forms began to transform.
It did not take long before two mighty Will Beasts materialized.
The volcano transformed into a gigantic white eagle with five pairs of wings, three massive claws, and a vertical eye blazing on its forehead. White flames cloaked its entire body, causing nearby ghosts and spirits to tremble instinctively.
Meanwhile, the storm gave birth to a colossal gorilla covered in bone-like armor that extended directly from its flesh. Lightning flowed through its bloodstream while terrifying gravitational pressure warped the air around it, granting the creature the crushing might of a living gravitational storm.
Both were Late ArchDeity Will Beasts, nearly as powerful as Zero Mint and the Collapsing Lightning Emperor themselves.
Yet before the Scarlet King, they were utterly powerless.
With a wave of Cain’s hand, the two creatures were dragged into the Evolved Scarlet Stars of the duo, becoming the cores of their heavenly bodies.
Immediately, violent tremors spread across the Evolved Scarlet Stars as the Will Beasts began to rage wildly, trying to break free from their prisons.
The faces of Zero Mint and the Collapsing Lightning Emperor turned pale. Every strike unleashed by the creatures felt like a hammer crashing directly against their minds and souls. Still, the two endured, relying on their overwhelming wills and the suppressive power of the Evolved Scarlet Stars to restrain the beasts.
Once the duo stabilized the situation, Cain continued the process of forging and evolving the Chimera Wills.
With every additional Will Beast fused into the Chimera Wills, the power radiating from the Evolved Scarlet Stars rose dramatically. Their energy reserves expanded, their soul force intensified, and even their physical bodies became stronger.
Across Zero Mint’s Evolved Scarlet Star, entire mountain ranges began to rise. Towering volcanoes formed at the center of each range while rivers of white lava spread across the landmass in every direction. The heavenly body became a world of ethereal fire capable of feeding upon souls and ghosts alike.
As for the Collapsing Lightning Emperor’s Evolved Scarlet Star, it transformed into a realm consumed entirely by storms. Endless lightning stretched from the surface to the highest layers of the atmosphere while crushing gravitational force flattened nearly everything beneath it. Only gigantic bone spires remained standing, acting as conductors that guided the devastating storms.
Unfortunately, because the core Will Beasts were already so powerful, it did not take long before the Chimera Wills reached a level the Evolved Scarlet Stars could no longer safely contain.
The process had to stop.
Zero Mint and the Collapsing Lightning Emperor frowned as they focused inward toward their Chimera Wills.
Cain had already explained the method needed to overcome this limitation. They needed to connect with the Chimera Wills, soothe their savage and chaotic natures, and guide the countless fused wills toward harmony.
Yet accomplishing such a feat was extraordinarily difficult.
All the two warriors received in return were endless roars and furious screams.
Cain remained silent as he observed them carefully. Even he did not possess a direct answer to this problem.
Fortunately, someone else did.
Zarak slowly opened his eyes.
The moment he did, the trio turned toward him.
Though blind, the Godslayer Human radiated a profound sense of enlightenment.
He had fully internalized and organized the process he experienced with his own Chimera Will.
“It is all about connection,” Zarak said calmly. “You must tap into the Power of Chaos that has permeated our existences and forged theirs.”
His voice was soft and serene, yet every word carried immense weight, reaching directly into the souls of the others.
“You must forget the self. See the world through the eyes of the Chimera Will, and then achieve peace within yourself. Only then can you help the Chimera Will achieve the same.”
Zarak had always possessed an extraordinary ability to harmonize with the world and those around him.
As a blind child raised in poverty, understanding others had once been essential for survival. Over time, that instinct became deeply engraved into the core of his being.
But for Zero Mint and the Collapsing Lightning Emperor, such a path was far from natural.
The two had always walked straightforward and ruthless roads, crushing every obstacle before them through sheer force and relentless determination.
Still, hardship had never deterred them.
Without hesitation, the duo sat in meditative positions and began reaching inward, attempting to connect with the Power of Chaos and resonate with their Chimera Wills.
Cain focused carefully on them and could sense the connections gradually growing stronger. Yet it was equally obvious that their progress would not mirror Zarak’s sudden breakthrough.
This process would require time.
And time was something Cain could scarcely afford to waste.
After a moment of contemplation, he summoned the Primarch of Conquest and left the entity within the Scarlet Throne to guide and assist the two warriors however necessary.
Then Cain departed to gather more people.
It did not take long before all Thirteen Stars of Doomsday—the warriors who had fought beside the Scarlet King for the fate of Aether—stood within the Scarlet Throne.
Each of them possessed an Evolved Scarlet Star.
And each had begun the arduous journey of bringing their Chimera Wills beyond savagery and into harmony. Bringing the myriad voices inside each of those creatures into a single unified echo.
Luckily for Cain, while he needed to personally guide the evolution of each Scarlet Star and initiate the creation of every Chimera Will, the strengthening and nurturing of those entities could largely be left in the hands of the Primarch of Conquest. That granted him precious time to search for more warriors.
After all, if they truly intended to reclaim the Empyrean Worlds lost to the Curse Eaters of the Tenth Empyrean World, they would need far more power than they currently possessed.
Cain had no doubt that every fallen Empyrean World had already been fortified by the Tenth Empyrean World’s treasure and runic formations. If the alliance marched forward with its present strength, the only outcome awaiting them would be defeat.
It did not take long before figures such as the Sky Sovereign, Alucard, and Paton appeared inside the Scarlet Throne.
Now that Cain had finished helping the core warriors who fought beside him to save Aether, he turned toward those who had aided him in expanding his influence across the Everstrife Empyrean World, and later stood at his side during the war against the Imperium of Time.
These were the warriors who had followed him as he ascended from a rising conqueror into the king of an entire world.
The process continued smoothly.
Even when it came time for figures such as Leonidas, Amon, and Bael—whose Scarlet Stars had already evolved into Scarlet Worlds—there were no major complications. Fortunately, the cores of their worlds were capable of housing Chimera Wills as well, allowing them to walk this new Path of Power just like the others.
More and more warriors entered the Scarlet Throne, forging Evolved Scarlet Stars and nurturing Chimera Wills.
With every new addition, the light in Cain’s eyes grew brighter.
Each warrior who completed the process represented another surge in the alliance’s overall strength, bringing them one step closer to invading the fallen Empyrean Worlds and reclaiming what had been lost.
And there was another benefit as well.
Every new Evolved Scarlet Star placed immense pressure upon the Scarlet Throne, but that same pressure also forced the realm itself to evolve. The laws governing the scarlet dimension became increasingly complete and refined, while its overall power continued to rise.
In turn, that growth nourished the Primarch of Conquest itself, steadily strengthening the terrifying entity that stood at the center of the Scarlet Throne’s vast and ever-expanding system.
