1199 Amar and his Beast(3)

Chapter 1199: Amar and his Beast(3)

Muk-Muk!

Suddenly, a sound rang in the area, taking Amar’s attention away from the ruins that had now transformed into a budding city.

Amar turned around, and his eyes fell on the creature who was going to be his opponent. On top of one of the buildings that was changing at a quicker rate than other structures stood the Samaghir.

It didn’t seem like a large creature. Even if it stood on its two feet, its height would be around one meter.

It looked like any squirrel, but its fur was a blend of shimmering silver and blue. It seemed to ripple and shift like time, giving the creature a mystical aura. Its eyes were a piercing shade of deep purple, shining with a mysterious glow. The pair of eyes carried the wisdom of age as if they had witnessed countless moments through time. On its back, there were a pair of small, transparent wings that seemed to change color from time to time.

The wings weren’t to help the Samaghir fly, but they enabled the creature to steer through the temporal energy with ease. On its forehead, there was an engraved pattern that seemed to move. It was in the form of an hourglass filled with golden sand, with purple borders for the glass, the same as its eyes.

The golden sand gracefully flowed through the hourglass, smoothly transitioning into the next chamber. As the sand steadily accumulated, the glass would undergo a transformative shift.

All in all, the Samaghir was a mystical creature. The Samaghir Amar earlier fought didn’t have the characteristic Chronos’ Blessing, so the battle was easy, and similarly, the character of the Samaghir was slightly tamed.

But at the second battle, things were different. The Samaghir looked at Amar with disdain. The reason for disdain was Chronos’ Blessing. Amar was also a member of a race related to time, like the Samaghirs. Chronos was the strongest cultivator of time below the Devas, and since the Samaghirs had his blood, the Samaghir was extremely arrogant toward Amar.

Amar only smiled, seeing the arrogance and disdain in the creature’s eyes. He waited for the bell to ring, and his wait didn’t last long.

As the directionless bell rang, Amar made his move. A strange aura had engulfed Amar when he reached the creature.

Amar then punched. The squirrel could sense danger from the upcoming punch, so it immediately activated [Time Shield].

The punch slowed down in the eyes of the creature, but Amar suddenly smiled, and the speed of the punch exploded.

The next moment, it struck the Samaghir, throwing it hundreds of meters away. The squirrel had a well-built base to fall without facing any injury, so using that, the creature safely landed on the ground.

It then immediately activated [Time Lock] in a range of a hundred meters around it, rendering Amar immobile, who had charged at the creature to attack again.

The Samaghir wasn’t going to let that moment of reprieve go to waste, as it activated [Time Bomb], and soon it had covered the diameter of fifty meters around Amar into a bomb field that would explode like a chain reaction due to the consecutive scheduling.ραпdα `nᴏνɐ| сom

Amar finally succeeded in breaking free from the lock, but he had only taken a step forward when ‘Boom!’

A loud blast rang out, forcing Amar to back out. But it was only the start, as soon as Amar found himself in a garden of explosions.

He had no choice but to activate his defensive skills. He raised both his hands as the time around him began to accelerate. The explosion immediately reached its peak, and soon it started to die out.

Not long after, Amar came out of the explosion with only small burn injuries that immediately healed.

Amar no longer had a smile since he understood that he had underestimated the Samaghir. He became serious as his eyes turned cold, and the black portion seemed to grow in size.

The Samaghir was already ready for its next attack. It opened its mouth and released a blast of temporal energy.

Amar tried to dodge the attack, but he soon found that he had returned to the same spot while the attack had come closer.

Amar understood he was stuck in a time loop when he returned to the same spot. He no longer tried to dodge the attack but faced it head-on.

At that moment, the temporal energy in the area became wild as it was getting absorbed at a rapid rate by Amar. A transparent armor seemed to form around him.

The armor hadn’t completely transformed when the attack’s speed suddenly exploded and struck the half-formed armor.

Thud!

Amar was knocked hundreds of miles away by the force of the attack, but he was unscathed with the armor keeping away the damage.

Time flew by, and the battle between the two continued. Sometimes, the Samaghir would have the upper hand, while sometimes it would be Amar.

Since both the creatures belonged to the time element, they knew that time was flowing around them. To others, it may feel like an unknown amount of time, but the two knew that it had been seven years since they had been battling to win.

Exhaustion was the last thing the two needed to worry about since the abundance of temporal energy allowed them to accelerate their energy-storing capability, making them go from exhausted to energy-abundant in a few moments.

The battle between the two was coming to an end as they prepared for their last attack. Amar was standing at three hundred thousand miles, his actual body size, while he was covered in armor made of temporal energy. He carried a gigantic sword made of the same energy. It weighed so much that he needed to carry it with both hands.

On the other side, the Samaghir had a crown atop its head, while a transparent cape made of temporal energy surrounded it.
