Chapter 1291: What if I do it?(9)

“I’ll choose you,” Laney finally made up her mind and picked the cultivation art.

Since she didn’t own the store card, she couldn’t use the preview option, and that’s why it was tough for her to choose which one was better.

Aakesh would always tell the customers about the preview option and the requirement of buying the store card for it, but he didn’t do the same when it came to Laney. How would he test her judgment? Once the preview option was available, Laney would be able to find the better one without much effort.

Once she had made her decision, she put the other two pages back on the shelf. She then turned around and walked toward the exit with a wide, childish smile, unaware of the chances of the fate-changing moment ahead of her.

When she exited the room, she found Aakesh in conversation with another customer. Aakesh also noticed her, but since his first duty was to treat each customer equally irrespective of their relation to him, he only focused on the man in conversation with him.

Laney silently joined the line and kept waiting for her turn. It would be a lie if she said that she was fully confident in her choice. She wasn’t aware of Aakesh’s plans, but what she was aware of was that the best cultivation art would propel her growth the fastest.

Laney was only a young child, as her cultivation stated, but her wisdom was her greatest strength. She was easily able to read and understand the situation.

Her waiting time finally ended, and she reached Aakesh. She then respectfully passed the page to Aakesh and requested, “Store owner, I want to buy this one.”

Aakesh took the page and saw that it was the best of the three cultivation arts. He then looked at Laney with his usual indifferent eyes and asked, “What made you choose this cultivation art over the other two?”

“Store owner, I chose this one because of the energy pattern…” Laney stated her reasoning behind her choice.

The more Aakesh heard, the more he smiled in his heart. It seemed he had found his candidate for the second store upgrade quest.

Still, Aakesh wanted to wait for the entire month before making his decision, and Laney hadn’t given him that much confidence to make an early decision, but Laney had become one of the candidates.

“Store owner, did I choose the right one?” Laney looked at Aakesh with big eyes and asked. Even though she was calm over her decision, she also knew that before the sale, she could change the art.

“Yes, the one you have chosen will benefit you the most,” Aakesh indifferently answered and then informed her of the price she needed to pay for the art.

“The cultivation art is yours…” Aakesh informed.

The next moment, light particles began to gather and soon took the silhouette of a book. Not long after that, it materialized into reality and fell into Laney’s hands.

Laney grabbed the book and immediately opened it. She then closed the book once she saw the energy pattern diagram.

“Thank you, store owner!” Laney thanked Aakesh. After putting the book in her space ring, she asked some questions about the beasts since it was the next product in her eyes.I think you should take a look at ραΠdαsnovel.cοm

“Store owner, what beast do you think would be the best for me?” Laney asked once Aakesh had answered all her questions. Since that route helped her get the most optimal cultivation art, she decided to do the same for the beast summoning.

“Yellow King, but you have almost zero chances of summoning it,” Aakesh responded immediately.

It was a random beast chosen by Aakesh, but that didn’t mean Aakesh was lying. If Laney could summon the Yellow King, her strength would grow by severalfold.

The race Laney came from used the element of shadow, while the Yellow King was a light elemental creature. Not only that, it was one of the rarest creatures that could use the element of light and shadow at the same time.

“What if I summon it?” The stubbornness of a child rose in Laney’s heart when she heard Aakesh’s comment about zero chances.

“I will tell you ways to defeat it,” Aakesh immediately answered.

He wasn’t joking about what he said since the response from Laney interested him.

“I will see to it,” Laney said with a proud smile, then walked toward the beast room.

“That is the weapons room; turn right; that one is the beast room,” Aakesh said when she saw Laney going in the wrong direction.

When Laney heard Aakesh, her feet and the proud smile on her face froze, but the next moment, she harrumphed and kept walking in the same direction.

Aakesh smiled when he saw Laney’s reaction and then returned his focus to the customer who took Laney’s spot.

Laney kept walking, and soon she stood at the door of the weapon’s room. She didn’t enter the room but turned her head around. When Laney saw Aakesh busy in conversation with another customer, she turned around and dashed toward the beast room.

She only stopped once she had entered the room. Aakesh couldn’t help but smile when he noticed that action from Laney. The customer in front of Aakesh was shocked by Aakesh’s sudden smile.

He wanted to ask Aakesh about it but stopped once he saw the usual indifferent expression.

When Laney entered the room, she took a breath of relief. She then looked around the room and was greeted with the sight of numerous murals of different beasts.

Her eyes turned wide open in joy when she saw a stunning creature, but the next moment, her face turned pale when she saw a terrifyingly ugly beast.

She then joined the queue in front of the first pillar, and it was long, with more than a thousand customers ahead of her.

Laney had no idea how the beast, the Yellow King, looked since she didn’t ask Aakesh about it. She repeatedly mumbled the beast’s name under her breath since she wanted to materialize her desire.
