903 A New Day for the Store(2)
Chapter 903: A New Day for the Store(2)
Time flew by, and around an hour had passed since the store opened its operations for the day.
There were currently three people waiting in the corner. They were in addition to the already four customers.
Tap! Tap! Tap!
Aakesh was relaxing comfortably on his chair when he heard the sound of footsteps coming from the store’s door. He then opened his eyes and turned in that direction.
It was a familiar face since it was the man who had threatened Aakesh with the destruction of the store if the pills bought by the man didn’t perform as Aakesh had explained.
There was an unexplainable gleam in the man’s eyes as he stepped into the store.
At that time, Ashley came out of the cultivation arts room because she couldn’t read any more cultivation arts that she couldn’t buy. Ashley’s sight also fell on the man entering the store.
“Alric!” Ashley called out to the man when she recognized him.
Alric, the man, moved in the direction of the voice after recognizing it. He couldn’t help but raise his eyes in surprise when he saw Ashley.
Ashley and Alric had been friends for a long time since they both came from affluent backgrounds. Ashley belonged to the Corrino family, the ruling family of Corr City. Meanwhile, Alric belonged to the Thorrino family, the ruling family of Thorr City. Similar to Ashley, Alric’s father was also the city lord of Thorr City.
“Ashley, what are you doing here?” Alric couldn’t help but ask his friend since he knew how arrogant she was.
“Is this your first time entering the store?” Ashley asked Alric. If it weren’t the first time for Alric, he would have never asked the question. But at the same time, Ashley could see from the way Alric acted in the store; he was familiar.
“No, I only found this store yesterday,” Alric answered.
***
Alfred had seven sons in total, and Alric was the fourth. Alric’s aptitude in cultivation wasn’t high, but to make up for that, the multiverse gave him a great talent in pharmacy.
Alric was already more than seven thousand years old, and his cultivation was only that of an intermediate Divine Being. It was low for his family since even his youngest brother was a late Divine Being, despite there being a few thousand years gap between them.
Due to his low talent in cultivation or the stingy character of his father, he failed to gain recognition of his father.
Since his young years, Alric worked hard because producing pills was a money-burning endeavor. His father, Alfred, only helped him early, but once the expenditure crossed several ordinary Sacred stones a week, Alfred left Alric on his own to earn money. He would spend everything he made on pills, and the cycle would continue. Making money was easy for a pharmacist with his talent, but Alric seemed to be indifferent to luxury.
He only earned enough to invest back into pills, so he had always been dirt poor in comparison to other pharmacists.
Yesterday, he had come around Seventeenth Street on business. The store was midway to his destination, so when he reached here, the thought of checking the store appeared in Alric’s heart for some reason.
Alric didn’t stop himself and let his intuition guide him, so when he entered the store, he found out about the pills. Alric thought these pills must be the reason for his heart’s calling, so he didn’t show interest in anything else and left the store.
As for the threat at the end, it was nothing but big words. Alric didn’t even go to his destination after leaving the store.
Alric booked a room to spend the night and began to study the pills. Out of the five, except for the soul healing pills, Alric could make all others at a success rate of forty percent, which was considered high for pharmacists at his level.
As time passed, Alric’s shock grew since he failed to see anything in the pills. Forget soul healing pills; he couldn’t even study the meditation pills, where he had a success rate of fifty percent.
Hours passed in the blink of an eye as Alric tried to study the pills, but the result remained the same. Once he tried to break down the pill, all its energy dissipated. Alric had no choice but to give up on studying the pills. At the same time, Alric decided to check the store once again.
Alric still hadn’t consumed a pill to ascertain its effects because he had destroyed every pill in his effort to learn more about them.

Ashley only smiled after hearing about Alric’s actions. She had been friends with Alric due to his pills, so she knew how talented he was and how obsessive Alric was with the pills.
“After you buy your pills, ask the store owner about other products,” Ashley said vaguely, and then she went to the waiting area, joining others in meditation.
Ashley couldn’t bring herself to study more cultivation arts since her heart had already reached the limit of what it could bear to give up. The training area was for Lesser level weapons, so it also wasn’t for her.
Alric only nodded and then approached Aakesh, who was comfortably relaxing on his chair.
“Sorry for the threat yesterday, store owner!” Alric first apologized to Aakesh. Alric had begun to respect Aakesh after he failed to crack the secret of the pills.

“Three pills of each category,” Alric requested and began to take out the required sum from his space ring.
Aakesh nodded and got up from his chair. He then went to the counter and took out the required pills.
“You need to pay three hundred thirty lesser Sacred stones,” Aakesh announced expressionlessly, ignoring the mountains of stones in front of him.
Alric’s lips twitched as he pushed the already-taken-out amount toward Aakesh.
Soon, Alric had all his pills in his hands as he placed them into his space ring. Alric then turned around to leave the store, as he wanted to taste the pills and see what difference there was between the ones he made and the ones he bought from this store.
‘Ask the store owner about other products after buying your pills!’ The statement rang in Alric’s head as he raised his right foot to leave the store.
