969 Gold and Black(2)
Chapter 969: Gold and Black(2)
William had already seen the claw’s sharpness, so he couldn’t let it hit him.
William activated a defensive skill he had learned in Panagea as a transparent silver barrier surrounded him.
The barrier attempted to put up a fight, but suddenly, the Suleon’s claw got engulfed in golden fire, burning the barrier to ashes in no time.
The skill had already stopped the Suleon for a moment, and it was enough for William, as the claws engulfed in flames only slashed at empty air.
The deep gash on William’s chest could be seen healing with the naked eye. If it were the William before the memory test, the battle would have been almost impossible for him to win, but that wasn’t the case anymore.
Evolving the bloodline provided many benefits to William. Even though his cultivation level had seen a reduction and reached an early Divine Transformation to match the Suleon, the skill he gained from it was still there for him to use.
Keep in mind that William passed the test after getting Suleon’s appreciation and also gaining his blood. With it also came skills exclusive to the Suleon.
ROAR!
As Wiliam landed, the Suleon charged at him, but suddenly, Wiliam roared at the creature.
The creature scoffed at that, but suddenly, a wave of unbearable pain attacked it as if its soul was on fire.
It didn’t take long for the creature to douse the fire, but it gave William enough time to prepare a killing strike.
William’s eyes began glowing. His left eye was golden, while his right eye had turned black.
The next moment, a ball half gold and half black appeared above his head.
The creature felt close to the golden side of the ball, but the black side gave it shudders.
The creature immediately activated the skill, “Radiant Shield.” The next moment, an opaque white barrier surrounded it.
William’s eyes held no emotions at that time as the ball above his head released an energy beam.
Boom!
As the golden side of the beam collided with the opaque barrier, it resulted in an explosion, but when the black side collided, it began to eat the barrier.
Suddenly, a golden fire engulfed the barrier, and with it, the energy beam.
The golden fire didn’t only vanquish objects; it also burned elements.
Chhiss!
As the black side and the golden fire clashed, the sound of pouring cold water on a hot surface rang in the area.
William’s right eye suddenly began to bleed. If Elle was here, she would have stopped William as there were some black lines in his pure golden blood.
Time flew by, and the Suleon became the first to lose, and soon after, William fell as well, as his body had lost all of its blood.
pAnDa (nov)e1 William’s eyes finally had a change as he only found about his condition now. Fortunately for him, the beast was the first to fall, so it was William’s victory.
The next moment, William lost consciousness, and after an unknown amount of time, his eyes opened.
An astonished expression appeared on William’s face as he found himself still in the gesture of grabbing the card.
“Store owner, what’s the time difference between the store and the taming area?” William heard the question going through his head.
He looked at Aakesh as he also wanted to know. The battle between the Suleon and him had gone for at least an hour from what William felt. Whereas not even a second had passed in the store.

“Pour a single drop of your blood,” Aakesh told the duo, initiating the third phase of the beast buying.
The duo nodded and pricked their fingers using the needle that had emerged on the card.
Time flew by, and the third phase was complete. Now, only paying the cost was left, and after it, the beast will be theirs.
“You need to pay six hundred supreme Sacred stones, eleven thousand one hundred eleven higher Sacred stones, one thousand one hundred eleven ordinary Sacred stones, and one hundred ten lesser Sacred stones,” Aakesh announced.
The next moment, a familiar alert rang in her head, asking her whether she wanted to pay the amount.
Elle thought “yes” and the next moment, the required amount got deducted from her store card.
The familiar process repeated itself as Aakesh told William the cost.
William had to pay more as the Suleon was three hundred supreme Sacred stones more expensive than the Sky Serpent.
Soon after, the payment was complete, and the duo had bought their first beasts.
Since William and Elle wanted to enter Panagea, they couldn’t just leave the store after the sale was complete.
Since there were still hours left before the spots would turn vacant, William and Elle decided to enter the training area.
Even though the level of the training area was only up to Higher grade weapons, they didn’t underestimate it.
The duo had seen from their own eyes how difficult it was to beat opponents in the game, irrespective of the cultivation level.
To enter the training area, the duo needed to buy a weapon first, as none of the weapons in their storage was Higher or Lesser grade.
The duo then thanked Aakesh and went to the weapons room to buy a weapon of their liking and then train in the Gods & Demons level training area.

“Hey, system, why haven’t I still gotten the beast quest?” Aakesh asked the system after he got free time.
Any item’s mission would activate after the first sale, but here, the store had already completed three sales and yet there was no alert of the quest’s activation.
[Host, the quest’s activation condition had grown.]
[Since the Beast Summoner Device is the fifth product in the store, the store needs to sell five beasts to activate the quest.]
Aakesh nodded and then asked another question, “Did the quest’s activation requirement follow the serial number of the product from now on?”
[Yes, Host!]

Since both William and Elle were bow users, they needed the best weapon available in the store in the Higher grade.
There were similar items in the store, but for every weapon and its grade, there was a unique item.
William and Elle were aware of it, so each of them wanted to be the first to find it.
Time flew by, and around half an hour passed.
Both of them failed to find the unique bow, so they gave up and bought the one they found next, leaving its quality up to the fate.
