988 Gregory(1)
Chapter 988: Gregory(1)
Gregory finally noticed his surroundings and couldn’t help but become surprised when he saw a group of people already there inside the store.
“Store owner, the store looks different,” Gregory commented after he reached Aakesh.
“We have changed the way we deal with customers,” Aakesh responded in his usual tone.
Gregory nodded and then began to converse about himself with Aakesh, including how he tried to find the store only to be rewarded with failure.

Gregory was a member of the Giant race, but that wasn’t always the case.
Thousands of years ago, in the Primal Dimension, Gregory belonged to a Demon race, Faratul. It was a low-tier race, with the strongest cultivator of the group only reaching Soul Formation.
When Gregory was around thirty-five years old, he and his family were attacked by a group of other Demon races, becoming a casualty of the war.
That war made the Faratul extinct, but it seemed Gregory still had many things left to do, so instead of dying, he found himself in front of a store in the center of the darkness.
There, he saw the store owner for the first time. And then, the myriads of products that could turn the entire Primal Dimension into anarchy like never before.
Gregory himself got introduced to twenty-plus products, and in the end, he chose the egg of a Giant while needing to pay seventy-five Universal cores over the span of twenty-five years.
The egg of a Giant wasn’t literal but an artificial item made from the pure blood of a Giant. Giant was a large group of races, so the bloodline Gregory got, belonged to the Ether Giants.
The Ether Giants were a race that had long disappeared from the landscape of the Primal Dimension when Gregory got the item. It was a powerful race that took birth not long after the creation of the Primal Dimension, and as their name suggested, they were in control of a powerful energy called Ether.
Ether was a powerful energy that was free from the bounds of the elements, as its owner could turn it into fire as well as water.
The Ether Giants’ immediate ascent to a dominant league was made possible by having control of the Ether. And in less than a few million years, the race disappeared from the Primal Dimension as they ascended to the Sacred Dimension.

Gregory had to give up on his race, Faratul, as he melted his soul into the item. It was an extremely painful process, as a new body was born right from the first cell.
It took around three years to finish the process of body creation. When it was complete, Gregory was directly born with Void Condensation level cultivation–a level that no member of his extinct race had ever reached.
Gregory’s vengeance was simple and quick because the Faratul race’s enemies were only led by a Nascent Soul cultivator.
Due to the lustful nature of the Giants, Gregory would have lost himself in pleasure and lust after completing his revenge, but the timer in his head kept him sane.
Time flew by, and Gregory had paid seventy-five Universal cores by the end of the twenty-fourth year, making the timer in his head disappear.
After that, it was Gregory all over the Primal Dimension. He became the Heavenly Monarch at the age of seventy-nine years, becoming an Immortal. When he was about ninety-six, his cultivation passed the threshold of the Primal Dimension, bringing on the Primal Tribulation.
It wasn’t tough for Gregory to pass the tribulation, as when he ascended, there was no one in the Primal Dimension that was a match for him in solo combat.

After Gregory ascended to the Sacred Dimension, he was alone, but it didn’t take long for him to be found by the Ether Giants already present there.
The Ether Giants weren’t a top race there like they were in the Primal Dimension, but still, they were strong and had good numbers.

As Gregory’s bloodline was as pure as the first Ether Giant, his talent was off the charts, especially with all the skills and Ether Giant could have in his arsenal.
The leader of the Ether Giants had no son, but only three daughters, so he married all three to Gregory, making him the next in line to be the Emperor of the Ether Empire.
It didn’t take Gregory long to gain the loyalty of other families in the Empire and when he finally became a Sacred Emperor, he was handed over the throne of the Empire while his father-in-law closed himself in meditation to seek ways to go beyond his cultivation.
Gregory’s cultivation speed was as quick as that of the chosen ones, as it took him only around eighty years to reach the level where he was today. After he became the Sacred Emperor, his growth finally slowed down.
For someone like Gregory, who had a quick growth rate, the sudden slowdown affected him. So to calm himself down, he grabbed his seven children and began to travel across the Sacred Dimension.
Gregory had been out for more than a year now. He had no plans to enter the atmosphere on Planet Curiele, but when he was above it, a force of attraction that he couldn’t define brought him here in front of the store.

“Store owner, where is Lily?” Although he had been here for some time, Gregory asked abruptly when he failed to spot Lily.
Gregory could still vividly recall Lily because he had never experienced the same level of terror in front of someone else as he had in front of her and her destructive nature.
“She’s in Panagea,” Aakesh replied.
“What’s Panagea?” Gregory asked curiously. Something that could hold someone like Lily could never be an easy place.
Even though Gregory was already a store customer, he was similar to those new customers in that he had never heard of the products currently available in the store. As for whether he would have the same reaction as those new customers, it wasn’t a sure thing since when he became a store customer, the value and abilities of the product at that time were something else.
