Chapter 135: Fighting with Clones(1)
Two hundred and forty-two participants took out ten ordinary Primal stones in their hands. Aakesh waited for five seconds more, and when he saw no other participant, he waved his hands, and the next moment, all of the 242 people appeared on the platform.
"Roar!"
The White Tiger roared at their face, showing its refusal to be given as the reward, but the next moment, a sudden pressure arrived on it, and it fell down flat on the platform.
"Do we have to make it submit to us on our own?" One of the participants stepped forward and asked, hearing the angry roar of the White Tiger.
Many of the participants also nodded and looked at Aakesh for his answer. It was the most important thing to ask for, but in the greed of winning the tiger, they forgot to ask.
Since many of the participants were Soul Formation and Nascent Soul, if they had to force the tiger to submit on their own, they would've wasted their money even if they won the event.
"No! You would get a pet that would obey your every order," Aakesh expressionlessly responded.
The participants heaved a relieved sigh as if now they could win the competition easily and didn't have to lose the tiger because of their low cultivation.
"Fifteen of you step forward," Aakesh commanded and pointed at the fifteen participants in front of the group.
The participants nodded and stepped forward, while the left people backed two steps away.
"Okay, enter the portals!" Aakesh ordered.
The next moment, the fifteen participants entered the portals, and the black screen again got divided into 15 sections, showing each participant.
The participants appeared in a closed room with a giant mirror in front of them.
The crowd could see the fifteen participants looking at themselves with astonished faces. They were surprised, because currently, their cultivation level had come down to Qi condensation.
The next moment, the mirror reflected light as a being with exact features as the participants appeared in the front of the participants. They had the same cultivation level, the same knowledge about fighting, and the same stamina.
Those who would win the highest number of fights with their clones would win the event and get the White Tiger as their pet.
"Ding!"
The next moment, the bell rang and announced the start of the event.
In one such section of the fifteen divisions, Mark was fighting his mirror clone.
Mark and the clone rushed at each other simultaneously as they both thought of the same strategy to start the battle. Since they were only Qi condensation, they couldn't use Qi outside their body, so their fight was simply hand-to-hand combat.
When Mark attacked, his clone easily dodged the move, and when the clone attacked, Mark avoided the attack. They weren't the only ones in this conundrum. All the fifteen participants were facing the same issue. In the battle of the participants and the clone, no one was coming out as the stronger party.
Time flew by. After three minutes had passed in the battle, the mirror reflected light again, and a new clone with the same appearance, level, and knowledge appeared on the battlefield.
Shocked expressions appeared on the faces of not only the participants fighting or who were on the platform even the crowd was shocked as Aakesh didn't announce anything about this.
"Hey, store owner, you didn't tell us about another clone appearing," One of the participants angrily asked while his back was wet with cold sweat. He thanked his God for him not being in the first group of participants.
"Oh, I must've forgotten," Aakesh casually responded. Dumbfounded looks appeared on the participants and the crowd.
"How can you forget something this big?" Another participant asked. He then pointed at one of the sections of the screen. On the screen, two clones were continuously punching one of the participants without caring whether the person wanted to give up or not.
Aakesh ignored the question asking participant and snapped his fingers. The next moment, all the participants fighting the losing battle in the battleground appeared on the platform.
"Since it was my mistake, you can join again," Aakesh told the participants whose bodies were automatically healing by blue light.
"Remember, you don't have as much time as you want to finish the battle. Every three minutes, a new clone would appear and join the battle against you," Aakesh announced.
Clones would appear in limitless numbers until either the clones win or the participant wins the battle.
Aakesh then looked at the participant, who was facing the cruel beating of the clones a moment earlier, and told him, "The clones had the same personality as you, so if you lose, quit. Otherwise, you would face the same situation your opponent would've faced if you won the battle."
After participants heard what Aakesh said, many of the participants had chills down their spines, thinking about facing the same cruel torture they forced on their opponents.
"Okay, now re-enter!" Aakesh ordered the same group of fifteen participants.
Despite knowing what was going to happen to them three minutes later, no participant could still defeat the mirror clones. As time flew, the battle only became tougher instead of becoming easy, so around five minutes since the battle started, the first participant out of the fifteen lost the battle and appeared on the platform with blood pouring out from his entire body.
It was as if the curse had activated. Twelve participants appeared on the platform in the next few moments. When six minutes passed, all the participants except Mark were on the stage, getting no victories in their hands.
Another minute passed, Mark was currently fighting three mirror clones. He had several injuries on his body, but fortunately for him, none of the injuries was severe. Out of the three clones, one had severe injuries, one had similar injuries as Mark, and one who had just appeared was without any wound.
It was all due to Panagea that he was able to hold until now. Dying hundreds of times in Panagea hardened his will, and that will to fight was helping him currently.
Participants had only one advantage over their clones, and that was the experience of the participants. If they could use that experience of fighting, only then could they have a chance of defeating it.. Otherwise, they could try everything in their arsenal, and they would only be able to draw the battle at best since the clones had the same knowledge.
