Chapter 181 – (3) Winners

Chapter 181: Winners

After standing in the empty space for an unknown amount of time, Eris finally left the area and appeared on the platform in the midst of cheers.

He then turned back to look around the platform. He found five people, including himself, standing on the platform while the remaining thousands of participants were sleeping on the ground.

The five standing participants were the only participants out of more than two hundred thousand participants that participated in the event to clear the gold dungeon.

Soon, everybody began waking up one by one. In no time, every sleeping participant woke up and stood up.

While the crowd, which numbered several million, cheered loud enough to shake a city for the excitement they felt during these last several decades.

Many beings in the crowd even learned new things, seeing the fighting skills of the participants. A number of people had an epiphany, seeing the participants utilizing their skills better than them.

"Who do you think came second?" One in the crowd asked her husband.

"Only the store owner knows, after all, they were so close," Her husband replied.

The first ranked participant was evident for the crowd since that participant cleared the dungeon a few months earlier than the other four participants. There was confusion for the second and third ranks since three participants cleared the gold dungeon at the same time.

Many in the crowd were having discussions regarding this. Only a few in the crowd confidently stated the names for the second and third ranked participants.

Aakesh ignored the discussions of the crowd and stood up from his chair.

"Hey, system, remove the time dilation," Aakesh told the system.

The next moment, the crowd didn't feel anything, but the time rate inside and outside the store became the same.

Even though the participants had spent more than five decades in the event, only around five hours had passed in outside. It was still hours away from the sunset, so if Aakesh wanted, he could organize another event.

"Total of 292,748 participants participated in this event to win territories in the Panagea. Out of which only five participants were able to clear the gold dungeon and have a claim at the reward," Aakesh began announcing the result of the event.

"Congratulations to you five for clearing the gold dungeon," He congratulated the five participants since he also enjoyed two or three battles during the event spanning decades.

"Unfortunately, out of you, there are three clear victors."

Aakesh then pointed at Evelyn. The crowd didn't have any reaction to this since she was the last to clear the gold dungeon.

"You were the last of the five to clear the dungeon, so you don't have any claim over the reward," Aakesh expressionlessly announced. The next moment, an invisible force pushed her steps back, so the other four participants came at the front.

"You're the winner of the event. You cleared the test in 51 years, 8 months, 23 days, seven hours, thirty-nine minutes, and forty-seven seconds," Aakesh announced the winner of the event and pointed at them.

Eris couldn't help but feel shocked and excited at the same time when the store owner announced him as the winner.

Even though he was a being who had lived for countless years, and Panagea was something he knew was possible since his grandfather himself had created a dimension before the war. Even reviving the adventurer was also nothing too great since any high-level God could even do this.

He felt excited as after wandering for countless years, he finally gained something starting from scratch, unlike other bad or good things which came his way because he belonged to the Titan race.

"Thank you, store owner," Eris thanked Aakesh.

Aakesh ignored his thanks and focused on the remaining three participants.

"The three of you cleared the event at the same time, with the time difference being in seconds. Especially for the third second, the time difference is in nanoseconds," Aakesh announced and looked at the remaining three participants.

Hearing it, Maria only smiled since coming to this stage was already a great deal for her. Elasha had a child-like expression despite being an old person, and Robert looked agitated. If he would get lost due to the time difference of nanoseconds, even he wouldn't know what he would do.

"The participant who came at the second cleared the test in 51 years, 11 months, 18 days, seven hours, thirty-six minutes, and fifty-seven seconds. The participant who came at the third was two seconds late from the second position, while the participant who came at the fourth position was six nanoseconds late than the third position."

"You came at the second. You came at the third, and you came at the fourth," Aakesh announced and pointed at the winning participant one by one.

"YES!" Robert yelled in excitement after finding himself in the top three. He couldn't help but raise his fist in the air, and then he began jumping while the crowd laughed seeing these antics of him.

"Sigh!" Elasha couldn't help but heave a disappointed sigh after finding out she lost the event only by six nanoseconds.

The next moment, the disappointment disappeared, and instead, her mood returned to, as usual, since there was no point in staying disappointed anymore. What had happened had already happened.

"Thank you, senior! It wouldn't have happened if not for your help," Maria smilingly thanked Maria.

"No need to thank me. It was your hard work," Aakesh expressionlessly responded.

Maria knew she had won because of the combination of hard work and luck, but she also knew, if she had never come here and met Aakesh, she would've never reached this stage. She would've died somewhere while praying for her revenge.

"Would you consider selling me your territory in the Panagea?"

While Maria was thanking her luck for meeting Aakesh, suddenly, an unfamiliar voice made her break out of her thoughts.

She turned around and saw a man standing in front of her with his hands crossed behind his back.

"No!" She bluntly responded since she had no requirement for urgent money. She already had enough, and she was also going to start her own restaurant from tomorrow.

Her restaurant would've started two days earlier, but since the king ordered the entire market to close for three days, she couldn't open her restaurant during the last two days.. Now that the events had ended, she would open her store tomorrow.
