Chapter 307: Sudden Situation(2)
The illusion Kuriati tried to attack again, but this time, he used a soul attack that would attack the soul of the creature. But similarly, like the last time, his attacks passed right through the creature. It didn't even make the creature flinch, let alone harm.
Kuriati didn't have any more time to attack or block as the creature's hand swing had reached his head.
At that time, the illusion Kuriati lost all hope of survival as the hand clashed with his head.
The current him seeing the scene closed his eyes in terror as he couldn't see his head bursting in an illusion.
The next moment, something unimaginable yet believable happened as the hand, instead of harming Kuriati's head, passed right through it.
The illusion Kuriati had a tiny hope in his heart of the occurrence of this situation, seeing his attacks, physical or mental, passing right through the creature and not harming it.
But then the question of the scene occurring in front of him rose. The scene was too true to be an illusion, and if it wasn't an illusion- how did he and his group come across these strange and terrifying creatures?
Kuriati, who had been seeing this scene from the third point of view, found himself shuddering as the next moment, he noticed the illusion him, heaving a sigh of relief after the creature's attack passed through his body. But suddenly Kuriati and the other daityas who had come across the attack from the creatures turned around and attacked their fellow members.
The illusion Kuriati's face turned ugly, seeing himself out of his control as he swung his mace, aiming at the female daitya behind him.
The female daitya was preparing to attack the creatures, but she suddenly saw Kuriati turning around and swinging his mace. It all happened so fast that she didn't even understand what had happened with her, and the next moment, she burst into a blood cloud as Kuriati had used almost three-fourths of his strength in the mace swing.
It was only the start. After killing one of his most loyal followers, Kuriati looked at another daitya and made his move.
The followers, who had just seen a few of their fellow members, and their leader Kuriati, attacking them, tried to escape since Kuriati was one of the attackers. Even if they combined all of their powers, they couldn't harm Kuriati, let alone now when a few of their members had also turned into attackers.
One second passed, two seconds passed, three seconds passed, and just like that eight seconds passed.
Now, only Kuriati who had a face full of horror stood there, while the strange creatures continuously muttered something gibberish, while looking at the corpses of daityas on the ground.
The illusion Kuriati at this moment wanted to angrily scream to vent his frustration, seeing so many corpses of his fellow members on the ground. But unfortunately, no words came out of his mouth as even that was out of his control. No matter what he tried, he could only follow what the creature wanted him to.
He had an amulet from his father, who was one of the topmost warriors of the Primal dimension. But unfortunately for him, the area he was in made that amulet nothing more than a plain piece of animal skin.
The creatures then began eating the corpses of Kuriati's followers while Kuriati looked at everything happening with his own eyes. His face had turned white from anger, seeing his weakness to do anything.
"Kacha!"
"Kacha!"
"Kacha!"
The sound of sudden footsteps broke the atmosphere. The creatures that were assimilated in their eating session stopped and looked in the direction of the source of the sound.
Kuriati exclaimed in surprise as the figure in front of him was familiar. It was none other than Aakesh, the store owner.
Kuriati wanted to say something, but suddenly a chill swept through his body as Aakesh after muttering something incomprehensible to both the illusion him and the real him, suddenly swung his sword, and the next moment, the illusion him, lost his consciousness.
The actual him could see that Kuriati had been split into two vertical pieces, and even before the two halves of his body could crash on the ground, both the halves scattered like sand.
Right at that moment, the Kuriati who had been watching this illusion from the third point of view lost his consciousness, and the next moment when he reopened his eyes, he found himself back in the store.
For a moment, there was confusion in his eyes, but soon clarity appeared in them.
"So, that's why I died," Kuriati mumbled in a voice loud enough for only him to hear.
It was the same future scene of him dying, but now, he watched the complete sequence of events, whereas previously, Kuriati only saw the scene of him dying by a swing of Aakesh's sword.
As for why he watched the complete scene, he didn't have to think long; as in the murals, he watched the warrior with mace was fighting the same creatures that had made him kill his own followers in the illusion.
"Are you alright, leader?"
Kuriati suddenly heard a familiar voice which brought him back to reality. He turned around to look at his followers, only to notice them looking at him with pure horror on their faces.
"Why're you crying, leader?" The female daitya in the group asked, seeing the moist eyes of Kuriati.
Since she had joined Kuriati, she had only seen him being a calm and cold person, but now she witnessed that his eyes were moist.
"Eh!" Kuriati exclaimed as he touched his face in surprise, seeing the tense and horrified faces of his followers.
"Choose your pillar according to your weapon," Kuriati wiped his eyes and coldly ordered his followers, ignoring their questions.
The followers who had been with Kuriati for decades wanted to speak something in response. But before they could even say something, Kuriati had already gone into the direction of the pillar that denoted mace.
Even though Kuriati had ignored the questions of his followers, he still couldn't forget the scene of him killing his own followers with his hands.
"I have to talk to my father about it," Kuriati thought in his heart. Now, only his father could help him solve this situation.
He then stopped thinking about it since he had reached the pillar.
