Chapter 410: One Person vs. an Organization(5)
Geoffrey's face turned pale, hearing the voice's response. How could he not do anything when there was an enemy standing at his doorstep?
Geoffrey was about to ask the reason when he suddenly witnessed a scene on the screen from the corner of his eye.
His granddaughter, who didn't even dare to fight the store owner in fear, suddenly charged toward him. In response, the store owner shot. But before the arrow could pierce his granddaughter or she could attack him, she suddenly bloated, and then an explosion loud and destructive enough to shake the barrier around the galaxy appeared on the screen.
Geoffrey right away looked toward the darkness rather than looking at the screen to see the result of the destruction. Geoffrey was sure that the voice had made its move. His granddaughter's body was entirely out of her control and did the self-destruction out of her will.
"You need to do nothing as it doesn't matter what you do, the result would stay the same." The voice suddenly commented, bringing a look of horror on Geoffrey's face.
"What do you mean?" Geoffrey asked. He knew what the voice meant, but he didn't believe it. He, who brought his race from one of the mid-tier to the peak of the Primal dimension, couldn't accept the meaning behind the voice's comment.
"I have failed my mission, and similarly, you would return the debt owed to you for reaching this level," The voice vaguely answered.
Geoffrey, who had just gotten humiliated, couldn't control himself as he flared in anger, hearing the voice. At the same time, a heart-breaking feeling rose in his heart.
"Why did you do this?" Geoffrey asked after calming himself down. His tone contained no emotion at this point as if nothing could influence him from now on.
"I did nothing. It's an equal exchange. How could you reach this stage without paying anything in response?" The voice answered straight away. The tone completely different from the past situations. It now contained a hint of melancholy.
"Then why aren't you letting me join the battle? I want to fight for my survival even if it doesn't make a change," Geoffrey coldly asked.
"Sigh!"
In response, a sigh echoed in the area, and then a silence fell upon it, as Geoffrey coldly stared at the darkness, and then finally, his eyes landed on the screen filled with the fractured space after the explosion.

"Ugh!" Aakesh groaned as he attempted to stand up after the explosion.
Suddenly, seeing the charge of the woman, Aakesh had activated the skill, Counter Shield. He then brought the bow between him and the barrier to reduce as much force as possible.
The destruction and strength of the self-destruction of a peak Immortal was nothing to scoff about. The barrier disintegrated right away as the force knocked Aakesh millions of miles backward with severe injuries.
Half of his face had burnt off, while his right hand was hanging by a thread.
The self-healing began working right away as a new skin started growing up in place of the burnt one. But it wasn't quick enough, so Aakesh activated one of the copied healing skills. A few seconds later, no injury, superficial or severe, remained on his body.
Aakesh then took a step forward. The next moment, he appeared right at the entry point of the core galaxy.
When he appeared, the only thing he witnessed was the fractured space. Even the bodies of the Aisads he had killed were thrown backward millions of miles in grotesque situations.
Aakesh's eyes then fell on the galaxy. He could see a light flicker from time to time. It was the protective barrier surrounding the galaxy. It was restoring itself after facing the brunt of the explosion.
Aakesh reached in front of it and punched at it, using his full strength.
"Boom!"
Loud sounds rang as Aakesh continuously punched at the same place. Unfortunately for him, his strikes failed to put any damage. Its restorative rate stayed the same.
Aakesh didn't give up, as using one of the three Absolute arrows was his last option. He then aimed the bow toward the flicker and stretched the bowstring using his right hand.
As he stretched, the outline of an arrow started appearing, and soon, it presented itself in its entirety.
The arrow looked different from the previous arrow Aakesh had shot before. It had blue swan-like tail feathers. The arrow shaft was entirely blue in color with strange silver patterns engraved on it. In place of the arrowhead, there was a fire. The fire was flowing, and it was silver in color with a tiny blue flame at the center of it.
It was one of the top arrows Aakesh had gotten from the arrow. He hadn't used it previously as it had a limit on its use. Aakesh could only shoot eleven of these in total. Similarly, he could only release three in a second. Now that there was no opponent, he could freely use it.
Aakesh then released the bowstring, and the arrow flew toward the flicker, tearing through the space. Aakesh didn't wait for the result of the clash, but he began stretching his bowstring again.
When the arrow collided with the flicker, a silver fire engulfed it and tried to melt it. After a short time, a tiny blue flame emerged and began devouring the barrier.
The restoration rate of the barrier stayed the same, but Aakesh didn't care. He shot another and then another.
More than three seconds later, he had shot ten of such arrows. The restoration rate finally began losing to the destruction, but the speed at which it was getting defeated, even a million years, wouldn't be able to create a space large enough for Aakesh to pass through it.
Aakesh stopped shooting the same arrows as he only had the last one left. If he were to use it on a Universe, the arrow had enough strength to burn it.
Aakesh then stretched his bowstring again as an outline of another arrow began appearing.

While Aakesh was attempting to make a space large enough for him to pass, Geoffrey was witnessing it all on the screen in front of him.

A/N: Sorry for the sudden absence. I have been feeling low for the past few days, but yesterday, the scene turned worse. I wasn't able to write anything and only rested the entire day. I finally felt some relief, so I wrote the chapters for today. Sorry in advance if I miss another day.
Thanks for reading the book!
