Chapter 549
Chapter 549: Journey to the End(5)
A wave of cold attacked Aakesh as soon as he got out of the water, but Aakesh seemed unfazed by that as if it did not affect him.
The temperature continued plummeting, and Aakesh nonchalantly continued his journey.
The situation didn’t continue for long. After Aakesh had covered around six hundred meters of facing cold on his foot, the temperature suddenly returned to normal as if the cold was nothing but Aakesh seeing an illusion.
Time flew by.
“Crack!”
“Crack!”
“Crack!”
Continuous sounds of something cracking rang in the area as icicles after icicles attacked Aakesh, but the triple-layered shield around him proved to be on the superior side.
As soon as an icicle would crash into the shield, it would release a counter, resulting in its cracking and then shattering.
Aakesh had a distance of two thousand five hundred km to cross in the area related to the element and sub-elements of the water. Even after an entire day had passed, Aakesh had only covered one-fourth of the length.
The distance would be considered nothing when compared with Aakesh’s speed and power, but in reality, Aakesh was already quicker than the test owner had anticipated.
Out of the more than five hundred km of his journey, the stretch of six hundred meters where the temperature was constantly plummeting was the safest situation Aakesh had come across up to this point.
For the last hour, Aakesh had been in this storm of icicles. At first, the automatic protection provided by his dhoti was more than enough to protect him, but as he proceeded, the strength of the icicles grew proportionately. It resulted in forcing Aakesh to create the shield around him, and finally, at this point, he had the three-layered Counter Shield around him.
Aakesh continued, and the attack of the icicles increased at a dangerous rate both in strength and numbers.
Even though the situation was slowly turning dangerous for Aakesh, he didn’t seem worried as he needed these kinds of tests. He had only started on this step, but he was already more than one-twentieth of the journey, so even at his worst, it wouldn’t take more than 15-20 days. Whereas Aakesh would also slowly grow as the most difficulties the situation gave him, the more his strength would grow.
“CRACK!”
“BOOM!”
“BOOM!”
Suddenly the sound of cracking disappeared, and explosions replaced it.
As the strength at which the icicles came toward Aakesh grew, the counter released by the Counter Shield also increased.
The counter would result in cracking and then shattering earlier, but now as soon as the icicles crashed into the shield around Aakesh, it would explode due to the Counter Shield using its power and then increasing it.
Time flew by.
Three days had passed since Aakesh initiated the exam on the ninety-ninth step.
In the last three days, he had covered more than two thousand meters of the distance in the water region. And most probably, he would step into the next section at the end of the day, despite the situation growing more and more dangerous.
“Clang!”
“Clang!”
“Clang!”
The continuous sound of clashes rang in the area as Aakesh clashed with the beasts in front of him.
The area of more than a hundred km around Aakesh was nothing but snow, and there was an army of Snow Yeti waiting to crush Aakesh.
For the past hour, Aakesh had been battling with the Snow Yetis.
There were more than a few million of them, which would’ve been impossible considering their size and the span of the snow, but somehow, they were these many.
Out of the few million yeti strong army, eighty percent of them had physical attributes of around 2.5 billion Primal units, fifteen percent had between 2.5-3 billion Primal units, and the rest five percent had more than three billion. The ruler of the army turned out to be even stronger than Aakesh, according to what Aakesh could sense from it.
And it was still not the end of the water area, so Aakesh could only imagine what kinds of danger he was going to face in the other sections.
If the number of the yeti army and the strength of their leader wasn’t enough to make the situation challenging for Aakesh, the restrictions on him had grown several-fold.
Previously, he could throw the Apocalyptic Blast up to a range of fifty-eighty meters even when the restrictions on him were at its prime, but now, their limit was only a measly fifteen meters.
If not for that, Aakesh would have already ended this battle with the continuous bombardment of the Apocalyptic Blast.
Unfortunately, in the current situation, a single Apocalyptic Blast would only be enough to kill one Snow Yeti, so Aakesh decided to use it randomly.
“THUD!”
A loud crashing sound rang in the area as Aakesh threw several of the Snow Yetis at once. Aakesh then focused on the other group since there were still many opponents left, and the yetis he had thrown were also dead as their heads had gotten smashed due to them crashing on the snow through their heads.
Time flew by.
“BOOM!”
A loud explosion rang in the area as an Apocalyptic Blast exploded in the area and killed the last of the Snow Yetis.
Aakesh had a cold expression and a slight injury on his right hand, which healed straight away.
The last battle with the ruler of the army was too exhilarating for Aakesh. Aakesh used nothing but his brute power as the chief had higher attributes than him.
Only when Aakesh defeated the ruler did he kill it by his Apocalyptic Blast. Its destructive power was too much for even the prime ruler to face it head-on and come out alive.
Since Aakesh could never get tired due to him having unlimited stamina, Aakesh took a step forward and proceeded in his journey as he had already wasted several extra minutes enjoying the contest of physical power with the Snow Yeti.
If it were before entering the portal, Aakesh would’ve killed the Snow Yeti in a single strike, using the Apocalyptic Blast. But after facing battles after battles on the Conspiracy continent and here, Aakesh started enjoying fighting with powerful opponents.
Time flew by.
Aakesh finally reached the end of the water area. Unfortunately, it was at the next day.
