Chapter 666 Playing!
Chapter 666: Playing!
It has been around two minutes since Aakesh’s training session began.
Aakesh currently stood against a thousand and eight hundred arrow machines, not allowing even a single arrow to reach close to hitting Aakesh.
No round took more than a second since each arrow machine shot at once, and their release rate was ten thousand arrows per second. Aakesh only had that time to defend himself. Aakesh still hadn’t reached a situation where he had to take a second to go to the next level. In fact, Aakesh was able to have more than five rounds of arrows every second, taking the amount of time taken in the next round to begin.
One second passed, two seconds passed, three seconds passed, and just like that, six more minutes had passed.
“CLANG!”
The sound of a metallic clash rang in the area as it was the last arrow that had clashed with Aakesh’s sword. It was also the first occurrence where the arrow succeeded in breaching the safe distance Aakesh had set around him.
Even though the arrow failed to hit Aakesh in the end, Aakesh’s eyes turned cold as it was now time for him to get serious and use two-thirds of his strength. Until this point, he had only been using one-third of his power.
As Aakesh increased his strength, the five thousand, seven hundred, and sixty-ninth round began.
This time, Aakesh had to fight 57,690,000 arrows at once with both his eyes and ears closed..
It even took less time than it had taken Aakesh to clear the hundredth round as Aakesh’s sword destroyed every last of the arrows.
More time flew by, and Aakesh finally started reaching his limit.
Aakesh was currently fighting again nine thousand, eight hundred, and ninety-sixth round, and Aakesh had already started feeling the brunt despite using all his strength.
Out of every three arrows, one arrow succeeded in reaching dangerously close to Aakesh, resulting in the survival for Aakesh, becoming even more challenging.
A single hit wouldn’t result in Aakesh losing the competition, but three at once. Aakesh still didn’t want to get hit even once as his strength allowed him to have that confidence in himself.
Time flew by, and Aakesh finally got hit.
He failed to dodge one of the arrows, and it pierced the area right below his elbows, resulting in the first injury for Aakesh.
Unfortunately for the arrow machines and fortunately for Aakesh, he had crossed the goal he had set for himself. Aakesh was currently fighting against 10,281 arrow machines at once.
Since Aakesh decided to consider even one hit as his loss, the next moment, he quit the training where more arrows were coming toward him, aiming to pierce him at every of his body parts.
?[0)??? The next moment, a blue light engulfed the entire area, while a green light engulfed the area where the arrow had hit Aakesh.
The next moment, Aakesh appeared in the closed space without having any injury, and all the arrow machines had also shut down while a blue window floated in front of him.
It asked Aakesh whether he wanted to begin the training or leave the area.
Since Aakesh had spent enough time, Aakesh decided to leave. The next moment, he tapped on his choice, and not long after, a white light engulfed him.
The next moment, the silence prevalent in the selection area broke down as out of nowhere, a space crack emerged, and soon Aakesh stepped out of it.
Lily still wasn’t here as there was still some time left before her training came to an end, and the Felines didn’t let Lily leave before that time.
Aakesh decided to wait for Lily here rather than going to another training session. Even though Lily arrived on time in the store, Aakesh and she couldn’t as he was busy selling cultivation arts to customers.
Time flew by.
Suddenly, a space crack emerged in the selection area, and soon Lily stepped out of it.
As Lily stepped out of the space crack, her eyes fell on Aakesh looking at her with a gentle smile on his face.
Lily couldn’t help but smile as she really liked Aakesh waiting for her. She then asked the system for her chair.
Not letting Lily wait, her chair appeared in front of Aakesh, not long after.
Lily then comfortably sat on her chair, and began discussing her experience in Panagea for the past several hours.
Since Lily had used one of three of Aakesh’s promises to make him help Lily gain the throne in three years in Panagea, Aakesh seriously listened to whatever Lily said, and then gave her suggestions.
The increased time flow rate in Panagea came as a big help to Lily since Aakesh had promised three years of the Primal dimension time, and now that time in Panagea flowed thrice the rate, it would give Lily more time to implement what Aaksh suggested her and also grow stronger at the same time.
Time flew by. Today, the discussion took longer than usual due to Aakesh’s lacking time to listen to Lily in the store.
Everything comes to an end at some point, and similarly, Aakesh and Lily’s conversation also came to an end.
“The event is only a week away,” Aakesh suddenly told Lily with the smile reappearing on his face since the serious talks were now over.
“Hmph, what’s the point of telling me, if you can’t let me participate in the last event?” Lily scoffingly responded, while attempting to dodge Aakesh’s hands coming toward her head.
Unfortunately for Lily, she wasn’t as quick as Aakesh, so she failed in the end. Aakesh slightly tapped on Lily’s head, resulting in a groan escaping from Lily’s mouth.
“You already know why I can’t let you do that? I just told you, so you can exit Panagea and watch the event,” Aakesh smilingly stated as he gently rubbed the spot where he had tapped a moment earlier.
The event used the virtual portals to their value, so the time in Panagea always got frozen for three days so that the adventurers wouldn’t lose valuable eighteen hours(now fifty-four hours for many customers.) If Lily stayed there, she would also freeze with Panagea and not get forced out since she was also an inhabitant of Panagea after Aakesh had made a deal with the system.
“Hmph,” Lily scoffed in response to Aakesh. She was aware of the deal between Aakesh and the system, but she still wanted to win territory in Panagea for herself using this way.
Lily believed in her talent, especially after she had the blood of Aakesh running through her veins, so she was confident that she would win the territory if she were to take part. Unfortunately for her, she could never test it in reality.
Aakesh couldn’t help but smile after seeing Lily in disappointment mode. He then gently rubbed Lily’s head and whispered something in Lily’s ears. Not long after, both of them disappeared from the selection area.
The next moment, the duo appeared in the store’s hall.
“Will you seriously help me once in Panagea?” Lily asked as she couldn’t believe what Aakesh had just promised her.
“Yes, but this is the last time when I would help you to make you happy,” Aakesh smilingly replied.
“Then, I don’t want it,” Lily responded, backing a step away from Aakesh.
For Lily, Aakesh treating her like a child wasn’t frustrating. But instead, it made her feel warm in her heart. It showed how much Aakesh cared for her, even when she was tens of thousands of years old.
Aakesh couldn’t help but smile, seeing Lily refusing to take his help in Panagea if it meant he would treat her as her age.
“Are you sure? I wouldn’t offer you this promise again in Panagea,” Aakesh smilingly told Lily.
Aakesh expected Lily to take a second before answering, but Lily straightaway replied a big no. This time Aakesh felt warm in his heart since how could he not know how much winning a territory meant for Lily? Despite that, she didn’t even take the time to think even when he refused to help Lily ever again in Panagea.
“Since you want things to go this way, then it’s fine to me,” Aakesh smilingly replied.
The next moment, Lily jumped on Aakesh, with her size reverting to her earlier form.
Aakesh expected Lily to go for a hug, but she instead hit him on his head.
The next moment, Aakesh and Lily began playing like they used to do in past but now couldn’t due to the lack of time.
Time flew by.
Suddenly out of nowhere, a door appeared in the midair. Not long after, stairs connecting it to the floor also emerged.
After Lily left for Panagea through the door, Aakesh’s eyes turned toward the portal room.
