Chapter 713: A New Day with New Customers(18)
As William took the silver square card from Aakesh’s hands, his sight fell on a familiar pattern imprinted on the card. It took a while for William to remember it since he had seen a slightly similar imprint when he was only a child.
When William remembered, his mouth and eyes flew wide open from shock. He then started at Aakesh, with a look of incredulous in his eyes.
“HOW!!!” William lost the composure he always had and exclaimed loudly.
Aakesh ignored the exclamation from William and interacted with the system in his head.
[Host, one being had attempted to lock on to this store a moment earlier!]
The system informed Aakesh of someone attempting to sense the store and the store owner.
“Were they from that mysterious organization?” Aakesh mumbled in a voice loud enough for only him to hear since the last time someone attempted to enter or sense his store was years ago. As a result, he had to kill an entire top race in the Primal dimension.
[Host, the attempt was thwarted, but the system failed to counterattack or search for the source of the person.]
The system added. Aakesh couldn’t help but get surprised to hear about two successive failures from the system.
“Was there any nefarious intent in that sense?” Aakesh asked the system.
[No, Host! It was a prying sense as if someone wanted to search for the secret of the store.]
[Host, the owner of the sense most probably is a creature of the third dimension!]
The system told Aakesh its conjecture. Aakesh nodded since he came to the same explanation for the person being able to secure themself from the system’s counterattack.

“How do you know the draconian language? Is this store related to honorable Dragons? How can honorable Dragons be behind a store? They only love stealing but not giving,” William asked a few questions in a row.
Aakesh, who was busy in a discussion with the system about the intruder, stopped thinking about it. Since the system failed to counterattack and the being was from the third dimension, Aakesh couldn’t do a thing to the person. Since he was too weak to take any action against the supposed intruder, there was no point in wasting time thinking over it.
At the same time, Aakesh finally decided to do the store upgrading quest. He had been holding himself from doing it since he had no interest in going outside the store for now.
The store upgrading quest was too easy for the current Aakesh, and only his non-interest in going outside was the reason behind him not doing it.
(A/N: He had gotten it early in the story due to the first event. His strength grew out of control due to the sudden intrusion and then the event with Vritrasura’s daughter, so the mission became too easy for him to do.)
After the store upgrade, its security would also grow, and Aakesh would also be able to have one assistant. Unfortunately for Aakesh, the quest didn’t offer anything related to his past, so he had no urge to complete it as quickly as possible in the past. But after today, it had become an urgency.
Aakesh decided to do it after closing the store today since it was a quest related to product sales and the strength of the store owner.

After hearing William’s question, Aakesh’s mind returned to the store. Unfortunately for William, it wasn’t to answer him but to ignore him since Aakesh had no interest in doing that.
William felt his lips twitching in frustration after seeing Aakeshtake a look at him and then ignore his question.
If not for sensing an extreme danger from the store and the store owner, William would have pounced on Aakesh. He would have done everything possible to make Aakesh open his mouth and tell him about the draconian syllable imprinted on the square card.
William took a deep breath to calm himself down. It was for his own benefit. William only had been born for twelve years, but he still knew the extent of the worship of the Elves toward Dragons.
Even when an Elf grew stronger than any member of the Dragon race, they still wouldn’t dare to disrespect the supposed Dragon to their face or even in their minds in the first place.
“I would give you every treasure I have in my kingdom if you tell me about the Draconian language,” William told Aakesh after calming down.
Aakesh, who was going to ignore William, finally turned around and looked at him. It wasn’t due to William’s treasure but to what extent William was willing to go to learn about only his source of draconian.
At the same time, Aakesh was also aware that William had no good treasures with him. He had run from his family, and if he were to take high-level items from the treasury, it would be easy for the family’s higher-ups to find William.
“I know the language of Dragons,” Aakesh expressionlessly responded after seeing William also going for bending in front of him.
“What will it take for you to teach me the draconian?” William’s eyes had a shine never seen before as he asked Aakesh. His tone contained respect for Aakesh, which was never there earlier.
Even though he had left the Asquith family, it didn’t mean that he had let go of his ancestry. He was still a Sun Elf and would stay till his last breath. His only goal for leaving the family wasn’t only to hide and let his sister stay happy without any brother there to marry her. He had another aim. It was to surpass Asquith himself and then break the rules set by Asquith. He would establish a new order for the Sun Elves.
“You aren’t worthy,” Aakesh expressionlessly replied after taking a glance at William.
William would have considered it as Aakesh mocking him, but seeing complete indifference in Aakesh’s eyes, he found himself trusting Aakesh.
“How can I become worthy?” William subconsciously asked Aakesh. Now that he had someone who knew draconian, William couldn’t let go of the chance to learn it himself.
“A worthy person would find the answer on their own, rather than asking others,” Aakesh expressionlessly responded.
