Chapter 723 The Guhyakas

Chapter 723: The Guhyakas

After waiting for some time, Aakesh’s turn arrived. Unlike the continental traveling portal, Aakesh didn’t need to be in a group to travel at once.

Aakesh then paid the required amount for him and Lily. The travel portal suddenly lightened up and embraced Aakesh, and not long after, the same phenomenon happened to Lily.

Since the planet Visteerna had originated from an infinitesimally tiny piece of the fourth dimension, the rules here acted differently. Every continent had a barrier around it, which made the travel between the continents expensive. If someone wanted to travel without the traveling portal, it took a long time.

If Aakesh were to travel from the Anga continent to the Vajji continent without the continental traveling portal, it would have taken him years, if not decades, to cover the distance, as breaking the barrier between the continents wasn’t easy.

There were a few materials and some talismans that could help with it, but they were rare and expensive, and Aakesh didn’t have enough time to find them since the quest’s deadline was only twenty-four hours.

Fortunately, no such barrier existed anywhere while on the continent, so it didn’t even take a second for Aakesh and Lily to reach their destination.

As soon as Aakesh exited the space, he found a sense surveying him. The sense didn’t attempt to perceive through Aakesh’s secrets as doing anything like that would be equivalent to becoming an enemy, so it was a simple formality.

The same thing happened with Lily. She scoffed and wanted to make a move since she didn’t like the feeling of getting surveilled, but she controlled herself. Lily understood she was only here to watch and not cause trouble for Aakesh.

Even though the sense was only a formality, the number of guards with ready weapons wasn’t.

The number of travel portals in the Bahraich Empire breached the mark of one thousand since it was the mightiest empire on the planet Visteerna. Kashi was a land devoid of any civilization despite it being the largest and one with the most resources, so the Empire on the Vajji continent were akin to the rulers of Visteerna.

Aakesh could sense that his actions were under the watch of the more than a hundred peak Immortal guards spread around the traveling junction.

Aakesh wasn’t here to fight, so he didn’t make any random move and left the traveling junction.

As soon as he exited, the feeling of getting watched disappeared. He then smilingly looked at Lily, who was traveling next to him. She had returned to her size, with her height only being one cm shorter than Aakesh’s.

Lily had lived in Panagea for several decades, and she was currently in the hold of a territory that was worth more than half of the Primal dimension. So when she looked around, she couldn’t help but scoff.

Aakesh only smiled after seeing Lily’s antics.

Unlike the other major capital cities, flying wasn’t forbidden in Cairo, but only teleportation was. The next moment, Aakesh and Lily floated up and rushed toward the location of the Gupta family headquarters.

While Aakesh was rushing toward his destination, a war of words was currently going on between Lin Ren and the will of the throne.

For the first time, the will of the throne warned Lin Ren about his actions. Lin Ren trusted Aakesh, but the throne didn’t. Just from attempting to sense the cat’s cultivation, the throne knew it was strong enough to raze the Xirin Empire down.

For the first time, it had felt an extreme danger from someone. The throne’s spirit was imbibed with the knowledge Arjuna had before ascending to the Sacred dimension, so it didn’t recognize the race of either Aakesh or the cat with him. It only knew one thing, the bloodline of both the creatures was supreme.

“You have to trust me here. The more dangerous of the duo was the store owner. I only gave him the free way to make a good impression on him,” Lin Ren told the throne’s spirit for the umpteenth time.

The throne’s spirit was stubborn here, but Lin Ren had no other choice than to try to make the will of the throne understand he wasn’t wrong. Unlike him, the throne didn’t have emotions. It was only a spirit to secure the Empire. If the throne felt too much disappointment from him, it wouldn’t take it even a moment to snatch the title of Emperor from him.

While the war of words was going on between Lin Ren and the throne’s spirit, Aakesh reached the destination from the piece of information he had gotten from Maria.

The Guhyakas were a race with humanoid physiques, but when compared with humans, a single Guhyaka was fat enough to hide three average humans behind them.

The Guhyakas were a race born with pale skin, golden hair, brown eyes, and an unimaginable amount of fat. Even a child Guhyaks weigh tens of Kilos at birth, irrespective of gender.

The Guhyakas were a race that was similar to the Elves in a way that they weren’t natural born or created by one of the Devas. Instead, their creator was a Primordial creature.

The Guhyakas were also similar to the Earthern Trolls, as the Guhyakas were also unable to attack someone due to the lack of offensive skills. Additionally, they didn’t have any defensive skills, so they couldn’t even defend themselves.

Despite lacking any ability to fight or defend themselves, the Guhyakas controlled one of the leading merchant families in the Primal dimension. It all had to do with their Primordial creator, Kubera.

Unlike the World Tree, Kubera took active care of his creations. Harming or killing any of the Guhyakas was equivalent to attacking Kubera, so anyone who did attempt it found them becoming a corpse the next day.

Only the higher-level beings knew this, but for lower-level beings, they thought of the Guhyakas as a God-loving race, so no one attempted to harm them after a few of those people died.

Unlike other races, the Guhyakas only have three families in the Primal dimension, and each of those families was a merchant. It was just that only the Guptas were a leading force, so Aakesh only found them in his list.
