Once again, Lu Li stood before the soul of the dead Horde Hero – Trebor.

“Dead, they all died…” Trebor laughed in misery. It seemed like the turmoil that he felt wouldn’t go away easily. It was his comrades who left in a much more peaceful manner.

“Perhaps the battlefield is the best resting place for Warriors.”

Lu Li had seen a lot of different things that he could say to Trebor from the guide to comfort him, but this was his favourite. Trebor seemed to resonate with it as his dimmed eyes began to brighten.

“You’re right – a Warrior has died on the battlefield. There’s no need for me to weep for them. I still have tasks uncompleted. Elf, I need your help.”

This time, Trebor handed down the next quest by himself.

The System also announced that Lu Li had completed the quest and was rewarded with a skill point!

Skills points in Dawn were more valuable than anything else, because other things could be purchased with money.

As for a skill point, this was an unresolved question. Everyone always tried to find ways to obtain more because there could never be enough of them.

“Please hand the task to me, good sir. I’m your most trustworthy friend.”

Lu Li didn’t expect to obtain a skill point at this stage of the quest. The chances of him obtaining another skill point were almost non-existent, but he was still grateful to Trebor.

This was why he had ventured out to do this quest; there was a good chance of obtaining a skill point from Trebor.

“The triad is protected by Razelikh. In exchange for their servitude, Razelikh granted each of them nearly unlimited power within the Blasted Lands. The talisman pieces are each attuned to the lifeforce of their owner, granting them immortality. As long as they remain within the Blasted Lands, they cannot be slain. Their life extends until the end of days,” Trebor lamented as he trembled in despair and rage.

“There has to be a way; even Sargeras cannot live forever,” Lu Li said with determination.

“You’re right, my friend,” Trebor agreed as he looked at Lu Li with approval and was touched by his mentality for battle.

“I’ve studied this for a long time and thought of one who may be able to assist you further. Travel to Azshara and find the demon hunter, Loramus Thalipedes. Search the islands. If even he cannot help, then we can only look forward to Chief Thrall to sort out the situation.”

Demon Hunter!

Even though he knew the latter part of the quest, Lu Li was still surprised by this term.

Demon Hunters were a bunch of crazed people who would sacrifice even themselves to achieve their goals. Almost all Demon Hunters had some sort of feud with and hate against demons.

In order to have their hate, or perhaps their responsibility relieved, they willingly accepted the forbidden power from the Burning Legion. They controlled the magic of darkness and chaos, gained the ability to transform and the vision to see the dead. With an admirable agility, they hunted and defended against Azeroth’s most dangerous enemy.

In the eyes of the world, these people weren’t just insane – they were even traitors.

At first, ‘Demon Hunter’ was simply a title, but as the battle against the Burning Legion continued, more and more people sacrificed themselves and this became like a class. They were somewhat like Bounty Hunters, but they hunted Demons instead.

Apparently, there were some special process in the class transformation.

A newbie who wanted to become a Demon Hunter had to first find a current Demon Hunter, who could take them through a series of complicated magic ceremonies. It was similar to becoming a Paladin.

Part of the ritual included finding a certain type of demon and offering it as a sacrifice. This was to bind a part of its spirit into the new Demon Hunter. However, in order to contain the spirit of a demon, the future Demon Hunter had to first burn and destroy their mortal eyes.

Because they obtained new sources of magic during the process of becoming a Demon Hunter, burning their eyes wouldn’t make them blind. They could still sense the world around them and clearly feel the position of the demons in their surroundings.

Although their vision would be restricted compared to normal vision, they could hunt demons precisely with this new vision.

As someone once said, “To catch something, you must first see it.”

After a person became a Demon Hunter, their appearance would be affected. Specifically, their skin would become pale and lose colour. Then, as time went by, their skin would become solid, granting them a natural armor.

Ultimately, the skin of Demon Hunters would appear as a dark purple tone.

As someone who had reincarnated, Lu Li still didn’t know how to change into a Night Elf. The number of Night Elves that he had seen were limited; Illidan’s Shadow would be the first that he had seen. They had purple skin, purple hair, a strong chest and that pair of long ears – a symbol of the Elf race.

Whether he was a Night Elf, Blood Elf or High Elf, they were all Elves.

The only thing uncertain of this man standing in front of Lu Li was the colour of his eyes, because a red piece of cloth covered them entirely. Everything he wore was red – even his two long swords and the glow of his weapon.

His name was Loramus – Demon Hunter – Loramus Thalipedes.

He lived on a deserted island in Azeroth surrounded by cold seawater and oddly-shaped reefs. All were grey and lifeless, and nothing grew from them. The sea constantly washed at the naked reef and eroded the surface, making it rough and dotted with tiny little holes.

Lu Li pulled off the seaweed that was attached to him as he swam over. He almost instinctively held onto his dagger as soon as he saw a pack of Hellhounds run towards him. Fortunately, he quickly realized that these were the pets of the Demon Hunter and were not interested in battling against him.

Hellhounds didn’t bring back good memories; Lu Li once again thought of Kirith.

“Demon? Are you sure you saw a demon? With your talent, even if you had eyes, they would be no better than being blind,” Loramus Thalipedes said. He wasn’t polite at all, like most Night Elves, who were proud and boastful.

However, Lu Li believed that Loramus was probably just envious of his eyes.

“I’m sure, Sir Loramus. Trebor sent me over. He’s an Orc, if you still remember him?”

“Trebor… I remember him. That was a few years ago,” Loramus recalled.

Lu Li then told of his purpose for coming over, and Loramus’ eyes immediately went red. His passion for slaying demons was above all else. Almost in an instant, he decided that he was going to kill Razelikh, even though Razelikh never did a single thing to him.

“Let me see if I have him here. Oh God, I do, that’s right – Razelikh the Defiler. I know his true name,” Loramus Thalipedes said. He took out a small book, went through a few pages and excitedly found what he was looking for.

Lu Li was stunned and couldn’t help but ask, “Sir Loramus, is it a great achievement to know his true name?”

“No, my brother of the past; you’ve misunderstood something. What I know is not Razelikh; I know his true name. A demon cannot have his true name known by someone else easily. If someone knew of a demon’s true name, he would have the definite advantage when it came to battling the demon.”

Lu Li was speechless; was this a bit of a joke? He even knew the name of the Demon King, Sargeras.

However, in an instant, he knew that he was wrong. Sargeras wasn’t entirely a demon, but was also a titan. Not to mention, perhaps he wasn’t called Sargeras in the beginning. His sidekicks weren’t demons either – they were Eredars, the former Draenei.

“Where’s this Razelikh?” Loramus Thalipedes asked with a murderous intention.

“Uhm, I’m not too sure, but I’d assume he’d still be hanging somewhere in the Twisting Nether. I’m hoping that you can help me take out his three servants, Lady Sevine, Archmage Allistarj and Grol the Destroyer. They…” Lu Li explained the situation patiently.

“That’s no problem at all,” Loramus Thalipedes said carelessly. “Aren’t they just three useless minions who’ve obtained the blessing of a Demon? I’ve killed too many of them.”

“Then what are we still waiting for? Sir, let’s go take them down. Apparently, they have a magical necklace that when pieced together, forms a special ritual to summon Razelikh back to the Blasted Lands,” Lu Li said, trying to persuade Loramus.

“The three isn’t the problem – the problem is that Razelikh cannot be killed easily. He’s a cunning one. One of my kind fought him in the past.”

“Let’s take down these three first, then find a way to slay Razelikh?”

Lu Li just wanted to complete his quest. It was rare for anyone to complete this quest completely. At least, from the guides that he had read, no one has gotten far. However, if he could take the three demon servants down, he would be ahead of everyone else.

“What’s the rush for? Let me have a think about how to take out Razelikh. What’s interesting about killing some demon servants?”

Clearly, Loramus Thalipedes cared a whole lot more about slaying a real demon.
