Chapter 701: Zaetar
Chapter 701: Zaetar

"Paladin, do you have the courage to sacrifice yourself for the greater good?"
This was a question asked by most Paladin NPCs, and represented the Paladins' virtues.
Sacrificing themselves and saving others was the greatest expression of those virtues.
Officially, the Paladin's Divine Intervention gave a target an effect which prevented Bosses from attacking them. After the Boss left, the target player could then cancel the effect and revive the other players.
If you heard your teammates asking you to use Divine Intervention, it was best to stay as far away from the monster as possible.
If you were the target of Divine Intervention, you wouldn't want the duration to end while you were in vulnerable position. If you were the teammate of a Divine Intervention target, you had to die quickly. Otherwise, if the Divine Intervention ended and you were still alive… it would truly be a waste.
For a Paladin, their ideal target for Divine Intervention would be another Paladin, followed by a Priest, a Shaman and a Druid. At the very worst, they would pick someone who could Revive, but never a Hunter's Pet!
There was once a Paladin, who in a guild battle, casted Divine Intervention on a pig.
The screenshot of that happening went down in Dawn's funniest moments, and that poor Paladin became infamous.
Before using Divine Intervention, you had to have a Symbol of Divinity. Paladin monsters had a low drop rate for this item and it could also be purchased at the System Store for a high price. It was even more expensive than the Blind Powder used by Lu Li.
There were two ways to obtain the Thief's Blind Powder. The first was through the small chance of stealing it from monsters, and the second was to purchase it from the System Store.
With regards to Crowd Control skills and items, Dawn's pricing could be said to be exorbitant. However, most players weren't dissatisfied with this as those who possessed Divine Intervention and Blind were tycoons who didn't mind paying money to be stronger than the average player. Even Lu Li, who cared very much for money, was no exception.
"Alright, you can have it," Water Fairy said, a little distressed.
"Water Sister, please…"
Deep Watersong was a bit annoyed. He knew they were working together, but he wished they weren't so obvious. Even though he wasn't a Paladin, this was obviously a really strong skill.
At that moment, he hated the fact that he wasn't a Paladin.
When your beloved girl was in a crisis, you could protect her in a flash. She would have a tear in her eye as she watched your body fall over. That act of self-sacrifice would definitely move her heart, unless you did something really embarrassing. =
"Well, I'll just go for it then," Lu Li said as he took the skill book. There were certainly many players who wanted this skill.
Then, a faint emerald mist slowly rose from the ground of the underground palace. It appeared faint and fragile, like a dream that was about to quietly fade away in the moments before dawn.
A new dazzling human form emerged above the body of the Earth Princess.
It was quite a strange being – he was tall and had a dark complexion with an enigmatic face that gave off a frightening air. He also had a green beard and a pair of fiery, golden eyes.
This was clearly recognized by everyone as a Night Elf.
Apart from Cain's Left hand, who was a Human, everyone else was a Night Elf.
However, as his lower body became visible, it was clear that he wasn't a Night Elf. A pair of giant antlers appeared on his head, and his lower body was clearly a deer body.
He was a Keeper of the Grove!
In this form, Lu Li was quite familiar with them. The Keepers of the Grove were half Elf and half Deer. They had huge antlers and leaf-like bristles, but their lower body was very different from the Night Elves.
This being looked a lot like Remulos, but Lu Li though that this guy looked a little bit better.
With that being said, he was in a complete mess.
Lu Li had never seen Cenarius, the Demigod of the Jungle, neither in this life or the last. He had only ever seen Remulos, the son of the Demigod, but it was hard to imagine Remulos as a Demigod.
Remulos' path was to blend into nature, but this meant that his presence was very weak.
Most players just thought he was an ordinary skill trainer, and there were some that described him as insane on the forums.
This was because he always stayed at the Temple of Remulos!
Lu Li was fairly certain that the person currently before them was Zaetar!
This was Cenarius' other son.
Zaetar was said to be very much like his father, but even fiercer and wiser. He had shown extraordinary talent when he was young and might even surpass his father.
Unfortunately, the Jungle Demigod Cenarius didn't hide his favoritism.
He had always been trustful of Remulos and gave him many tasks, but as for Zaetar, he never did anything for him and even after he had died at the hands of his descendants, there was no indication of Cenarius leaving the Emerald Dream.
"Hello, I'm very happy to meet you."
Although Lu Li was only talking to a deceased soul, he still maintained his respect.
This was probably the most wronged person in Azeroth. It was said that he was attacked by his son in his sleep and killed over and over again until his physical body degenerated.
This 'sleep' was likely him visiting the Emerald Dream, which allowed Druids to pass through space and time.
The parents of the Keepers of the Grove were clear, but Cenarius' mother was Elune. Elune would never reveal herself in the world, so the person who took care of Cenarius was his adoptive mother – Ysera the Dreamer.
When Cenarius was born, an instability was introduced into the Emerald Dream. Ysera immediately knew about this and after guiding him into the dream, she taught him many of its secrets before eventually becoming his foster mother. In fact, the deep relationship between her and Cenarius caused many of the earlier races to mistakenly believe that they were mother and son.
Because of this, Lu Li didn't think that Zaetar was dead.
If a Demigod like Cenarius could be revived by Ysera, then Zaetar could also be easily revived.
It seemed like his presence here was a trial for the change from a mortal body to a stronger being. That was why Cenarius hadn't asked about him and Remulos didn't seem to mind.
Lu Li's only worry was that they had just killed the guy's wife.
