Chapter 1049: Hell

Almost at the same time, Zheng Yuan pulled his mother away, grabbed the knife by the handle, and kicked his father in the belly. His father never expected his son to be this fierce and ruthless. He wasn’t afraid of the chopping knife and even dared to act violently despite it.
In mere moments, Zheng Yuan grabbed the knife and without waiting for his parents to react, he cleaved down with it, striking his father in the neck!
Blood instantly spewed out. His father tried to cover the wound, but it was to no avail. He looked at Zheng Yuan in disbelief. He could hardly believe even at this point in time that his own son would really dare deal such a murderous blow to him! He widened his eyes, trying hard to say something, but all he could say was: “Bastard!”
“Old Zheng!” Zheng Yuan’s mother snapped to her senses as she lunged forward, crying. She hugged Zheng Yuan’s father and tried her best to stop him from bleeding. However, the blow had been too ruthless; there was no way to stop the bleeding.
Zheng Yuan’s mother suddenly thought of something as she took out her cell phone to call the police!
When Zheng Yuan saw this, he hurriedly kicked the cell phone away.
“What are you doing? You bastard! He’s your father! His blood runs in you!” Zheng Yuan’s mother cursed loudly.
Zheng Yuan said, “He was no longer my father when he cleaved at me! If you are my mother, don’t call the police! I’ll call the police later and when they come, testify for me and say that it was done by those enemies of mine!”
“You…” Zheng Yuan’s mother nearly blew a gasket as she pointed at Zheng Yuan, crying. “You… You aren’t my son!”
With that said, Zheng Yuan’s mother ran to pick up the cell phone to call the emergency services.
Zheng Yuan frowned as he said angrily, “Calling the cops now is equivalent to putting me to my death! Is a dead husband more important than a living son?”
“Go away! I have no son like you!” Zheng Yuan’s mother cried out as she pressed two of the three numbers.
When the final button was about to be pressed, Zheng Yuan looked at his father who had already stopped breathing before looking at his mother with her cold gaze. Enraged, he cursed. “I don’t want this crappy family anymore!”
Zheng Yuan ran forward with the knife and cleaved down once more!
Blood splattered everywhere, but Zheng Yuan didn’t seem fazed. He picked up a towel to wipe the chopping knife and threw it on the ground. He then returned to his room, collapsed into his bed, and fell asleep…
“Amitabha. Patron, do you remember now?” At that moment, a Buddhist proclamation snapped Zheng Yuan out of his memories.
Zheng Yuan looked at Fangzheng with a livid expression. He shook his head and said, “It wasn’t me. I didn’t kill my parents! I didn’t do it! Darn monk, let me out!”
Fangzheng stomped his foot as a force traveled underground. Simultaneously, the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva on Mt. One Finger also stomped his foot!
With a loud explosion, Zheng Yuan was flung out.
In midair, Zheng Yuan said to Fangzheng with some realization. “Bald Donkey, I hate that memory!”
As he spoke, Zheng Yuan took out a poison needle from his pocket and stabbed himself! He collapsed to the ground the instant the poison entered his bloodstream. His body convulsed as his mouth foamed. His eyes stared straight at the sky as he yelled, “I was drunk that day! Drunk…”
Fangzheng silently watched Zheng Yuan struggle on the ground. His face was already in a grimace from the poison. Fangzheng pressed his palms together and said softly, “Amitabha. Patron, This Penniless Monk already said that there’s no place in hell for you, so who would dare take you? Wake up!”
With that said, Fangzheng pressed Zheng Yuan to the ground as the Buddhistic medicine Spirit Qi in him burrowed into Zheng Yuan’s body, quickly dispersing the poisonous elements in Zheng Yuan’s body.
Meanwhile, Fangzheng made a “fear not” gesture with his hand, matching the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s gesture on the mountaintop. They struck down at the same time.
Zheng Yuan, whose soul was about to dissipate, cried out suddenly. “Wah!”
He opened his eyes and wanted to act again.
However, someone was faster than him—Fangzheng! Fangzheng first relaxed his hand before standing there like it had nothing to do with him. It was as though saving him only needed a mere thought, without the need to even take any real action.
This way, Fangzheng appeared all the more profound and unfathomable in Zheng Yuan’s eyes.
However, when this scene landed in Fang Kui’s and Xu Xun’s eyes, they felt that it wasn’t right! Was this a freaking Bodhisattva?
Fangzheng wasn’t bothered by their thoughts. Instead, he looked at Zheng Yuan and asked, “Do you still wish to die?”
Zheng Yuan looked at Fangzheng as though he was a monster before angrily yelling, “You aren’t letting me live, and now, you aren’t letting me die? What exactly do you want from me?”
Fangzheng shook his head and said, “Nothing. Wouldn’t it be too simple if you were let off by dying despite all the sins you have? If you wish to go to hell, This Penniless Monk can send you there faster!”
“What do you mean?” Zheng Yuan was stunned.
Fangzheng widened his fingers as Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva also widened his palm to point at the sky. Following that, he pressed down on Zheng Yuan.
Boom! The sound of something shattering sounded.
Cling! Clang! The sound of chains being pulled sounded at the same time.
Zheng Yuan looked at the land and saw bone chains rising up. They were pulling a huge door that slowly ascended. The demonic ghost on the door turned its head over and reached out its bony hand to grab him by the ankle. Without a word, he was pulled into the door! The skull scanned his eyes and let out a hoarse voice. “Filled with heinous sins. You deserve hell. Go on in!”
With that said, it stuffed Zheng Yuan in!
At the same time, the skull swept its gaze towards the nearby Fang Kui. When Fang Kui saw Zheng Yuan being thrown into hell, he was shuddering all over. He peed himself when he saw the skull turn towards him!
But clearly, he had overestimated himself. The skull retracted its gaze and pressed its palms at Fangzheng. Then, it straightened its body and sank back into the door as if it had been nothing but a still image all along.
Meanwhile, Fangzheng shot a glance at Fang Kui. He came before him and drew a circle around him. “Wait in this circle. This Penniless Monk will come for you in awhile. If you leave this circle…” Fangzheng paused, chuckled, and turned to leave.
Fang Kui subconsciously looked at the Door to Hell and plopped his knees to the ground and kowtowed. He shouted. “Master, don’t worry. I’ll never leave this circle even if I have to die!”
Fang Kui didn’t know that those words of his had more truth to them than he could imagine.
As for Xu Xun, Fangzheng only smiled at her as a form of placation. Then, he walked into the Door to Hell.
The door closed and slowly collapsed before disappearing into the land.
“Young Venerable One, where did that older Venerable One go? Can he still return?” Xu Xun felt a little worried when she saw Fangzheng enter hell. However, she was more puzzled.
Red Boy realized this was the perfect opportunity to toot his master’s horn. Hence, he looked up and held his hands to his back. He said proudly, “My master is One Finger Monastery’s abbot and has great merits and virtue to his name. His Dharmic powers are mystical and effective both in the nine heavens and the underworld. What’s the big deal with him going to a mere hell?”
