The Romantic Cultivator

Chapter 265 Ji Yuan, You Don’t Have To Explain Anything!

Ji Yuan had a most sheepish look as he walked with the party to the location where the trial entrance of the fourth level could be found.

He was not the only one.

Shui Xisi was also looking sheepish at the same time.

It was because they had been teased nonstop by the party as they traveled together.

Obviously all the maidens know that Ji Yuan and Shui Xisi were only playacting with each other.

They had to admit that they were indeed shocked when they had suddenly heard Shui Xisi screaming for help and had rushed in a hurry to locate them.

But when they saw that her assailant was Ji Yuan, they began to curse silently and knew that they were only playacting; it was because they had always known that Shui Xisi and Ji Yuan were secretly having an affair.

It was not a secret to Little Princess and Bai Qianfeng who had caught them in the act even before they had entered the Warrior Empyrean Labyrinth.

Ling Feiyue was quick to put on an act too by pretending to be upset and she was quickly followed by the other maidens.

As much as Shui Xisi tried to point her fingers against Ji Yuan as she felt too ashamed to admit that they were playing a rough game together, the other maidens were only playing along to comfort her.

Even Chen Hanhan and Mu Wan’Er knew what their ‘scouting’ was all about, having been informed by Ling Feiyue who had casually said to them before the encounter. “I won’t be surprised to find them disheveled together. We are just giving a chance for Sisi to be with Ji Yuan to keep her quiet. After all, we may need her help in the future.”

But when they had found Shui Xisi and Ji Yuan together, all the maidens were quite shocked by the outrageous game that they were playing.

By now, both Ji Yuan and Shui Xisi were aware that everyone seemed to know what was going on. It was because Ji Yuan’s little precious was still intact and he was not punished in anyway.

The two of them wished that they could dig a hole into the ground to hide their shame…

Ji Yuan muttered secretly to Xiang Li, “Why didn’t you warn me that they are coming…”

“I didn’t see them coming…” Xiang Li replied with a flustered countenance as she recalled the delicious scene earlier. “Moreover you told me not to make any sound and to hide in a corner.”

Ji Yuan: …

“Actually everyone…” Ji Yuan suddenly had an inspiration of an excuse. “I was in a battle with the Death God Mingwang. He is a formidable immortal cultivator. When Sisi and the rest of you had found me earlier, I was being controlled by the will of the Death God Mingwang…”

Bai Qianfeng hummed. “My lord. No one can control the will of the others. Moreover both your soul and spirit level are at a level that even subtle subversion of your mind is impossible.”

Little Princess smiled coldly. “So says the expert. So can’t you please come out with a better story than this?” She had restrained from saying aloud that Bai Qianfeng was an immortal cultivator but Ji Yuan perfectly understood what she meant.

Ji Yuan: …

And so Ji Yuan could only smile bitterly. “But my battle with the Death God Mingwang is real. I am betting all my fortune that he must be somewhat related to the Evil Cultivation Palace and he may be the mastermind behind all these. Finally we have a clue on who our real enemy really is…”

Ling Feiyue interrupted him. “Hmph! If he is an immortal cultivator then you won’t be around anymore.”

“Yes and why are you still around?” Little Princess asked.

“Because that is only his astral projection and he isn’t really there. All I need to do is to exhaust his profound strength and I can easily defeat him.” Ji Yuan chuckled. “And that is why. Also, I am a genius…”

“Liar!” Ling Feiyue, Little Princess and Bai Qianfeng said at the same time.

Ling Feiyue could not resist a soft chuckle. “Actually I was almost ready to believe you until he adds the genius word.”

“Me too!” Little Princess and Bai Qianfeng giggled at the same time.

Bai Qianfeng giggled as she covered her mouth. “A genius liar, I’m sure that was what he was trying to say.”

Ji Yuan: …

Ji Yuan: …

Ji Yuan: …

He turned to smile at Feng Minyue, Chen Hanhan and Mu Wan’Er. “You do believe me, am I right?”

But Feng Minyue, Chen Hanhan and Mu Wan’Er pretended to look the other way.𝑵𝒐𝑽𝑬𝓁𝑛𝖊xt.𝓬𝚘𝐦

Chen Hanhan muttered softly. “You’ve me fooled and that is why I’m now in your hands.”

Ji Yuan: …

I didn’t ask you to follow me…

Ji Yuan turned to smile at Shui Xisi. “Sisi, we’re on the same side. Tell them that it is the truth.”

Shui Xisi smiled awkwardly. “I didn’t exactly see it.”

Ji Yuan: …

Ji Yuan returned an awkward smile to her as he cursed softly; surely you can tell them any story. Why are you so honest at this point…

“Xiang Li is my witness. I can ask her to verify my accounts…”

Ling Feiyue hummed softly. “Don’t bother. We all know that Xiang Li has to obey your commands.”

Ji Yuan smiled weakly. “You know, spirit entities don’t lie…”

Bai Qianfeng interrupted him. “Like real.”

Ji Yuan rolled his eyes as he smiled weakly; somehow no one believes that he had just been through a life and death battle with a most formidable opponent.

“You know that I’ve expended most of my profound strength. You can examine my pulse…”

“Right. In your lovemaking session.” Little Princess stomped her feet.

Ji Yuan rolled his eyes to look at a flustered Shui Xisi.

“Haha…”

All his arguments were soundly defeated and were nuked into nothingness.

He was suddenly saved from further embarrassment when Ling Feiyue pointed to the cliff above them. “We are here. Above this cliff is a platform and that is where the next trial entrance is.”

Ji Yuan laughed. “Haha. So this is where the trial is? I love trials. Let’s hurry our pace.”

Ling Feiyue cursed softly. “Lame.”

But Ji Yuan pretended not to hear as he sped ahead of the rest.

“Wait for me!” Shui Xisi shouted after him before she chuckled softly to the rest. “Someone has to keep an eye over him.”

She did not want to be left behind because she was now sharing the same awkwardness as Ji Yuan. For now she had lost her pride as a lofty great saintess and the matriarch of the Water Melody Palace; in her mind, she was just a maiden that had fallen madly in love with Ji Yuan.

As the two of them sped off hurriedly, Ling Feiyue sighed softly to the rest. “Look at the two of them. Just a while ago, one was pretending to be the victim and one was pretending to be a badass. Now they are moving on their business as though nothing had happened earlier.”

Little Princess nodded with a wry smile. “Let’s follow them quickly. They can’t find a hole in the ground to hide now and who knows if they may just decide to enter the trial on their own to hide from us.”

Bai Qianfeng nodded as she danced in front of them as she began to follow closely behind Ji Yuan and Shui Xisi.

Ling Feiyue chuckled softly. “So it seems that our Sister Qianfeng here is more eager to follow Ji Yuan…”

But Bai Qianfeng did not reply to her and instead she called out to Ji Yuan, “My lord, wait for your Qianfeng…”

Mu Wan’Er and Chen Hanhan were all panicky following as well. “Wait for us…”

Little Princess shrugged her shoulders as she looked at Ling Feiyue with a soft sigh, “These maidens have no spines. They are all his fan girls. We’ve better catch up with them too…”

As the rest of the maidens began to follow rapidly after Ji Yuan, Feng Minyue was still flushing behind her veil.

It was because Ji Yuan had exposed himself to her when she had accidentally seen him in the middle of his outrageous act.

When she had thought of this, she could not resist continuing her flushes as she thought; he may have a most beautiful look but why is that he has to be such a pervert…

She was soon moaning as she tried to shake the thought of his little precious off her mind as she muttered silently; he has corrupted my pure cultivation mind with his unsightly ugly rod…

When Ji Yuan got on the platform with Shui Xisi, he saw the trial entrance which was a shimmering blue portal which was situated at the back.

There was a black stele next to the blue portal which would describe the trial details to the cultivators.

But all of a sudden Ji Yuan was frowning; it was because his sharp eyes had spotted a name that was on top of the cliff and that was the Death God.

Other than the Death God, there were no other names and there were no other cultivators presented at the platform as well.

The first thought that had come to his mind was, “The Death God Mingwang was here and he had already completed the trial?”
