Chapter 271 The Trial Of The Sword Saint (6)
All the maidens were weeping with tears of joy as they quickly rushed forward to aid Ji Yuan once the white perimeter band had quickly disintegrated.
Bai Qianfeng was the first maiden to rush to Ji Yuan as she cuddled into his embrace as she gasped. “My lord, you’re still alive…”
Ji Yuan was so startled that he rolled onto the ground with her. He simply did not have any strength left to even stand properly at this point.
He coughed weakly. “Do you know that you’ve just crushed into me and have just stuffed out my candle of light? Your lord is now dead because of you…”
Shui Xisi had suddenly pulled his ear to her as she said excitingly, “Ji Yuan! I know that you won’t die so easily…”
Little Princess had suddenly hit him on his chest which caused him to cough out aloud. “Ji Yuan, how dare you leave me here alone! If you do then I shall make sure that you will regret the day that you are born!”
“Erm, are you trying to kill your lord?” Ji Yuan muttered weakly.
If I were dead then I won’t even regret if I am born or not.
Ling Feiyue was weeping as she hit him on his shoulder and chest as well as giving him a few kicks. However she did not use any force at all.
In fact, it was very soft and tender as she looked sentimentally at him with her tearful golden eyes.
“Ji Yuan, do you want me to wait you for the fifth lifetime?!”
Ji Yuan looked awkwardly at Ling Feiyue as he muttered. “No…”
“You are fine?” Feng Minyue asked quietly.
“Lord Ji Yuan…are you alright?” Mu Wan’Er and Chen Hanhan were both saying at the same time.
Ling Feiyue rebuked him but she could only manage a gentle rebuke. “Do you think that we will feel grateful to you if you were to sacrifice for our sake? Listen, we don’t need your stupid sacrifice…”
Ji Yuan grinned and his eyes were beaming at all the attention that he was getting. “Haha…”
The Trial Spirit rumbled out through the dark heavens with a grudging respect. “You’ve overcome this trial and you shall receive your reward. What is your name?”
Ji Yuan smiled bitterly as he restrained from cursing out aloud. “Ji Yuan.”
“So is this the name that you will like to engrave here?” The Trial Spirit asked.
Ji Yuan replied bitterly. “No, just put my name as Old Fart.”
“Then Old Fart Ji Yuan, it shall be done.” The rumbling voice echoed throughout the vicinity and the name ‘Old Fart’ appeared just below the engraved letters of ‘Death God’.
Ji Yuan smiled weakly; did he have to add Old Fart Ji Yuan?
Just my bad luck to have encountered such a vengeful trial spirit…
All of a sudden Ji Yuan shouted weakly, “Old Far…I mean Old Mighty Trial Spirit, shouldn’t my name be above ‘Death God’? After all, I’ve overcome the Malevolent Gods Domain.”
The Trial Spirit rumbled aloud as lightning flashed across the dark heavens. “He has also overcome the Malevolent Gods Domain and he is a better swordsman than you are. You are merely second.”
Ji Yuan began to smile weakly. “Is it so? Haha…”
The maidens that were with him were startled. They had all seen the terrifying profound power that was generated by the Malevolent God Domain and it shivered them to think of even trying it.
They did not even know how Ji Yuan could even survive the entire onslaughter of the Malevolent Gods Domain as everything was too much of a blur to them.
Ji Yuan’s Sword of Destruction was able to absorb the profound energies into his saintly divine sword and hence, it had saved his body from being consumed utterly by the tremendous profound energies that had exploded into a brilliant mushroom nova.
Even if he had the tremendous will to halt his life force from being drained away, it would still be impossible for him to survive the terrifying profound power of the Malevolent God Domain.
The deep voice of the Trial Spirit resonated. “I don’t understand how you can overcome and even reverse the surge of your life force energies. You have clearly used a powerful life force sword art to overcome the Malevolent Gods Domain but you can only use it only once before your life force is extinguished by it.”
With a short pause, the Trial Spirit added. “I’ve just examined your profound aura but very clearly, you’ve not attained to the divine state of the absolute indomitable will. What gives you the indomitable willpower to reverse your life force in such a timely fashion?”
Ji Yuan muttered silently; this Trial Spirit talks too much. I just want this to be done and get over from it…
But he faked a smile before he said aloud. “This is true love. The love for all the maidens that are with me that keeps my bond to this plane of existence. I can’t die because they’re most precious in my heart.”
When the maidens heard Ji Yuan, they were all gasping softly and were flushing deeply.
Ji Yuan had said it with a straight face.
Naturally that was not the whole truth.
The truth was, he was trying very hard not to think about them as he was most afraid that Xiang Li may make her wish. Although he may survive the Malevolent Gods Domain with Xiang Li’s help but he would also lose her forever.
Therefore he could only refresh his past memories.
And when he was thinking of Jiajia, he had suddenly realized that he had not banged her yet and that was his biggest regret in his life.
After all, all his current predications had started because of Jiajia.
He could only muttered silently; I’ve better not mention that I’ve been thinking of Jiajia or else I would be screwed big time by a group of zealous maidens…
So he had used a classic line of ‘True Love’ that he had read somewhere before and had modified the lines.
The Trial Spirit was left to mutter with shock. “True love?”
Ji Yuan nodded lightly before he displayed his impish grin. “It is ‘True Love’ that conquers all adversity.”
This time had restrained from adding his usual “Haha.” Or else his story would easily been exposed as a fraud by the more observant maidens.
The Trial Spirit was gasping loudly from the dark heavens above. “I’ve never heard of this state of divinity before…”
Xiang Li was also gasping secretly; it was because she may not know the true reason why Ji Yuan was able to overcome his life force sword art and had lived but she could sense that Ji Yuan was trying to protect her.
She cannot be mistaken by this as they are linked together through a single soul sea.𝗇𝑂𝚟𝗲𝐥𝑵𝓮xt.𝑐𝑂𝓂
In the soul sea, she would still sense his burning emotions; Xiang Li, I will protect you!
She was gasping all of a sudden as she linked the protection with the ‘True Love’ that her big brother had just mentioned.
Big Brother, he likes me?
Xiang Li was flushing all of a sudden…
She covered her face with her palms in great shyness as she muttered silently; why didn’t he tells me that he likes me…I won’t say no for sure…
All of a sudden there was a flash of light as two portals appeared in front of them. One portal was blue and the other one was green.
The Trial Spirit thundered. “Old Fart Ji Yuan, your reward will be granted to you after you’ve stepped into the portal. Because you’re overcome my trial, you’re now a Sword Saint…”
Ji Yuan muttered miserably and silently; Old Fart! I’m already a Sword Saint! Do I need you to declare me as a Sword Saint again?
The Trial Spirit continued. “As none of you have cleared the fourth level trial yet, the portal to the next level won’t be opened for any one of you yet. The blue portal will take you to the next location randomly while the green portal will take you to the limbo where you will wait for the entire trials of the Warrior Empyrean Labyrinth to be finished first.”
“So, make your way to the portal of your choice. However I must tell you first that only Old Fart Ji Yuan here will receive the trial reward.”
Ji Yuan rolled his eyes; does he need to change my name to Old Fart?
But he chuckled aloud. “Do we even need to think about the choice? Naturally we’re all going to take the blue portal!”
Ling Feiyue, Little Princess, Shui Xisi and even Feng Minyue were all smiling; Ji Yuan is right. They don’t even need to think about it!
But all of a sudden Mu Wan’Er and Chen Hanhan had approached Ji Yuan as they said in chorus. “Lord Ji Yuan, we’ve decided to take the green portal!”
Ji Yuan was stunned.
He blinked his eyes and stared at them before he muttered. “The two of you are not coming with me?”
Chen Hanhan shook her head gently, “I don’t deserve to be in the same party as my Lord Ji Yuan.”
“I am a burden.” Mu Wan’Er added quietly.
Their replies stunned Ji Yuan.
Chen Hanhan lit a smile before she looked away, “We may never be able to meet again. I am from a different celestial fraternity and there is no way for us to meet across the boundless mountains.”
Mu Wan’Er took Chen Hanhan as she muttered. “Hanhan…”
Ji Yuan muttered. “Just come with me. I will take care of the two of you.”
Ling Feiyue folded her arms as she said quietly. “Ji Yuan, don’t you understand? They just don’t want to be your burden. This is their love for you.”
Mu Wan’Er nodded. “Indeed. We’re already quite happy to reach the fourth level. We are not saintesses and we’re already quite proud that we are able to reach this far now. So please do not dissuade us.”
“We don’t want to make you lose your life because of us. This is enough already.” Chen Hanhan said bitterly. “I won’t forget about you and I hope that you won’t forget about me.”
“I won’t forget about you, Hanhan.” Ji Yuan said solemnly. “And I will look for you after this.”
Chen Hanhan smiled weakly. “This is impossible. So please forget about it. I will always remember your love and I’m so sorry for trying to trick you in the first place…”
Ji Yuan suddenly interrupted. “Hanhan, do you want to be with me in the future? Will you give up everything to be with me?”
Chen Hanhan was startled by Ji Yuan as she replied. “I do but…”
All of a sudden Ji Yuan had turned around to shout to the dark heavens above him. “Hey Old Mighty Trial Spirit, about my reward, I will like to forfeit it but I will like you to send Hanhan to the Desolate Celestial Fraternity instead of her own celestial fraternity. Can this be done?”
The Trial Spirit boomed loudly. “It can be done but it is against the immortal laws of the Empyrean Warrior Labyrinth…”
Ji Yuan interrupted loudly. “Can’t you see that she is madly in love with me? Have you never dated before or have a girlfriend before?”
The Trial Spirit: …
Ling Feiyue was groaning softly to the others. “I’ve a bad feeling about this…”
“So shall it be then.” The Trial Spirit thundered loudly. “This shall be your trial reward.”
Ji Yuan was startled by the reply and so were all the maidens.
Chen Hanhan was gasping with surprise. “But this is the fourth level and the reward must be something good. Moreover you’re the second cultivator to overcome this level…”
Ji Yuan interrupted her with a soft chuckle. “You’re my best reward.”
Chen Hanhan had a deep fluster on her cheeks. “My lord, thank you! I’m most willing to go to the Desolate Celestial Fraternity to be with you then.”
Mu Wan’Er giggled softly as she held Chen Hanhan’s hands, “You can be my sister in the Desolate Celestial Fraternity and together we shall follow Ji Yuan.”
Chen Hanhan nodded with utter happiness and she was looking at Ji Yuan with great delight.
Ji Yuan inhaled deeply as he said. “Our partings will be a short one. Perhaps this will be the best outcome. In the limbo, you will be safe until the end of the trials here. If I am alive after this, I will surely look for the two of you.”
Mu Wan’Er and Chen Hanhan had suddenly embraced Ji Yuan together as they kissed him passionately. “Farewell my lord…”
They did not want to be separated from Ji Yuan but they knew that the fourth level was beyond their ability to actually undertake. After they had seen the sacrifices that Ji Yuan had made, they became fearful for him and had secretly resolved not to become a burden for him anymore.
True love demands that they give Ji Yuan the leeway to give his very best for the trial and they hope that Ji Yuan will be able to reach as high as possible in the Warrior Empyrean Labyrinth.
Ji Yuan forced himself to smile as he reached for his spatial ring. “I am quite poor but I ought to give you a pledge to uphold my promise…”
All of a sudden a panties had dropped from his robe and all the maidens were stunned by what they were seeing.
Bai Qianfeng gasped softly and there was a light flush as she looked at her panties…
“Ji Yuan, whose is this?!” Ling Feiyue gasped.
All the maidens except for Bai Qianfeng were now questioning Ji Yuan; it was because they had all made an agreement not to disturb Ji Yuan while he was meditating for his lost profound strength.
Ji Yuan blinked his eyes before he smiled awkwardly. “If I tell you that this belong to Xiang Li, will you believe me…”
“No!!!” Many of the maidens had broken in chorus together.
