The Romantic Cultivator

Chapter 636 Prelude To The Upper Area Trial (5)

The remaining cultivators in the vicinity had quickly decided to be split into two main groups.

Lu Qingyun would lead his group which consisted of Fan Yuqing, Feng Minyue, Ye Jing, Leng Qiuyue, Mo Bei, Xiao Muhan and Qin Shuang.

Ji Yuan would lead the second group which consisted of Ling Feiyue, Little Princess, Bai Qianfeng, Shui Xisi, Yu Jingjing, Yang Mi, the Lovely Empress, Zhi Jiugong, Yun Chi and the Smiling Divine Maiden.

Feng Minyue looked a little apologetic as she looked at Ji Yuan, “We shall part temporary for the time being. I have to be with my sister saintesses.”

JI Yuan smiled weakly, “Don’t worry. I understand.”

He had perfectly understood; it was because Feng Minyue was actually from Fan Yuqing and Lu Qingyun group when they had first met. And it their reunion was long overdue.

Feng Minyue nodded gently at his response and she was flushing with shyness; it was because as she said this to Ji Yuan, she saw that Fan Yuqing was giggling behind her and Ye Jing was also watching her with amazement that she had given her heart to Ji Yuan.

Ji Yuan was actually feeling a little awkward as well and he tried to distract everyone by turning to Xiao Muhan and laughed, “Are you sure that you don’t want to go with me? After all, we are the best of friends.”

Xiao Muhan muttered weakly, “You just want me to be in your group so that I will be envy of you. Therefore I rather not. Also, you know that I am currently in a terrible condition.”

Ji Yuan laughed silently: As a depraved slave, you mean? Don’t worry, I shall find you a cure, my friend.

Mo Bei was laughing jovially, “Well, I don’t mind being in your group, junior.”

Ji Yuan ceased his smiles immediately: Actually I do mind a little…

But he laughed to say, “You have to take care of my friend Xiao Muhan here and also the other group did not have 8 in their group. Since you are with Maiden Qin Shuang, I presume that the two of you will be together in a group. Unfortunately for my group, it is a little too big.”

Mo Bei looked a little disappointed as he looked weakly at Ji Yuan while thinking: You rascal. You can’t even be bothered to decline me politely?

When Ji Yuan had said that, many of the maidens in his group were all giggling behind him.

Mo Bei grumbled softly, “Well, see you inside the trial then.”

Ji Yuan laughed as he reminded him, “Senior, remember the riddles. Good tidings!”

When Mo Bei, Xiao Muhan, Lu Qingyun and the rest had picked a portal of their choice and had entered a dark blue portal, Shui Xisi giggled and said to Ji Yuan. “You are not serious about that riddle, right?”

Ji Yuan frowned with a sheepish look, “Naturally I am serious.”

All the other maidens were muttered, “He is serious. Let’s hope he isn’t serious about it.”

Shui Xisi laughed softly as she gave Ji Yuan a wicked look that seemed to see through his very soul which caused Ji Yuan to have an awkward shiver.

Among all the maidens here, only Shui Xisi was able to tell that Ji Yuan was not serious and he was just randomly suggesting a random idea.

It was because Shui Xisi had been living a life of deception with her Sister Feifei aka Jiajia or Fang Zhenfei. And she had even deceived her entire celestial clan on who she really was; in their eyes, she was an old granny but instead she was just a young cultivator.

Like her Sister Feifei, she was a born Xuantian and when she was 13, she was already a golden celestial. Her growth in her cultivation was as phenomenon as her sister and was only slightly worse.

And her mother consort had given her an immortal sword, which was the heritage sword of the Great Goddess Celestial Alice for her own protection. Most of the time, she had kept the real profound powers of this immortal sword a secret.

With this immortal sword, she was able to conceal her true strength from the others.

The only two persons that knew of her true strength were actually her Sister Feifei and Sister Fan Yuqing the Devil Goddess.

Although she shared the same father as her Sister Fan Yuqing, and their father was the Great God Pangu the true sovereign of the Immortal Divine Realm, they had different mothers.

Fan Yuqing was the daughter of the Great Goddess Fantian and the Great Goddess Fantian was the most powerful goddess of the Immortal Realm and she was even above the Great Goddess Celestial Alice.

By nature, Fan Yuqing was extremely talented in her cultivation. She may be lazier than even herself but no one will actually dare to say that she was inferior to her or to her Sister Feifei.𝑡𝑂𝑽𝔒𝗅𝔫𝐄xt.π“¬πŽπ“‚

That was why her Sister Feifei had said that with Fan Yuqing around, she may have a chance to kill the Death God Mingwang. But she would need Fan Yuqing’s help.

However there was now one little problem now.

Shui Xisi had completely put her mission aside and had joined Ji Yuan’s group instead. And moreover, she did not try to persuade Fan Yuqing to join her group because she felt too awkward knowing that Fan Yuqing was there to gossip about her.

And Fan Yuqing was infamous as a gossiper; in no time, what Shui Xisi would do, she would be renowned throughout both the Celestial Realm and the Immortal Realm.

This was something that she had wanted to avoid.

She was actually thinking: With Bai Qianfeng and Ji Yuan around, surely I have a good chance of killing the Death God myself?

There was another an old man that called himself the White Sword Monarch. From her intel, she knew that he was a half-step Sword Immortal and was extremely formidable.

Surely they would stand a good chance to kill the Death God?

If Yun Chi knows that she was plotting to kill her, she may vomit blood immediately. But unfortunately, only Bai Qianfeng and Ji Yuan know of Yun Chi’s true identity now. And of course, Xiang Li and Anyang. But as they were spirit entities in Ji Yuan’s soul sea, Xiang Li and Anyang were not counted.

All of a sudden, she remembered that there was a Maiden Dream Mist too but where was she now?

So Shui Xisi could not resist asking Ji Yuan and the maidens and she was smiling, “I don’t see Maiden Dream Mist anywhere now. Where is she? Has she finally left the group?”

When she had mentioned Maiden Dream Mist, Ji Yuan, all the rest of the maidens and even the White Sword Monarch were all sighing immediately.

She was startled and asked curiously, “What is wrong?”

Ji Yuan answered weakly, “Erm, I’ve forgotten that you are not around. If I tell you that she is the Great Beyond Goddess, will you believe me?”

Shui Xisi was startled and there was a look of disbelief in her golden eyes, “You are not teasing me?”

Ling Feiyue weakly said, “You’ve better believed it. You can’t believe how formidable she really is. Luckily we didn’t offend her or something.”

Shui Xisi was stammering now as she looked at Ling Feiyue and Ji Yuan, “Does insulting her counts as an offense against her?”

Ji Yuan muttered weakly, “Don’t look at me like this. How do I know? I have insulted her more than you do and I am still alive, right?”

Shui Xisi stared at Ji Yuan before muttering weakly, “You don’t look at all convincing.”

Ji Yuan laughed weakly, “Honestly, I have no idea what the Great Beyond Goddess is thinking.”

As they discussed about the Great Beyond Goddess, Yun Chi had a mixed look on her countenance. It was because the Great Beyond Goddess had spared her life and had even given the emperor-step sword back to her.

She asked quietly to herself: Why did she spare me? It is obvious that she knows who I am…

All of a sudden her daughter in her womb had given her a soft kick and she was muttering: Mummy, you are thinking of that big sister? I seem to have remembered her but I can’t remember the details.

Unknown to Yun Chi, it was her unborn daughter that had aroused the Great Beyond Goddess’ interest through this miraculous birth and she had awakened via Xiang Li in the Celestial Realm.
