548 Gathered.
As the people began to cultivate again, Yang Dao got busy crafting the artifacts and he did not bother with anything else. As he grew familiar with the process of casting the armor his speed increased, and the output rate would have shocked Elder Tao. The rhythm of his hammer began to pick up pace as he continued.
The disciples could not help but notice this, when they opened their eyes to check what this kid was doing, they found him holding two hammers in his hands and the strikes were raining down on the cast armor. The other thing that surprised them was Yang Dao molding the armor without any tool.
Amil asked, “Yo, Cal, what is he doing?” with a doubtful tone.
Cal sighed and said, “He is using his spiritual essence to cover the material and mold the armor while the hammer rain is to change the dexterity of the metal and even more, the hammerhead is covered with spiritual essence as well and with each strike, he is blending spiritual energy with the material.”
Amil was shocked and said, “I never knew that Artifact refining had so many complicated things.”
Cal shook his head and said, “It takes two or three people to do all this, we call that combined refining, only this treasure can achieve this feat alone. I wonder who will be getting a hold of this armor. That person might come out safe under a Nascent soul attack.”
Amil was again shocked and squinted his gaze at the armor. Suddenly he heard a voice behind him, “Do not think about it. Yue Jing will have that armor, she is still at the peak of the Spirit formation realm. She needs it more than you do.”
They were all cultivators of the golden core realm, either level two, like Yang Dao, or more. Cal was the strongest among them, a level five golden core cultivator. While Yue Jing was yet to step among the ranks. So Shakti decided to hand this armor to Yue Jing regardless of who it was given to.
Cal narrowed his eyes and said, “Hey Amil, get Noah over here. I want to know what is that pattern this child is carving on the outside of the armor. Be quick.”
Shakti also focused her attention to look at Yang Dao, who was carving a pattern on the exterior of the armor, seemingly lost in a daze. Amil did not ask why he should be the one calling over the other person and moved quickly.
Noah was the prime disciple of Grand Elder Atlas, the best scribe in the sect. He could inscribe patterns on artifacts, Talismans, array plates, and even the human body. Noah was a talisman inscribing grandmaster and had reached the level of a master in artifact inscribing. He came over and heard Cal’s question.
When he cast his gaze on Yang Dao’s blade and the pattern he was carving, he sucked in a cold breath and said, “This guy sure is a treasure.”
Cal clicked his tongue and asked, “Can you just break it up, what is this pattern?”
Noah gazed at him and went on to explain what the use of this pattern was which shocked everyone. (a hook for you in the upcoming chapters)
…
Yang Dao distributed the armors to everyone, the strongest person received the weakest protection and the weakest received the best armor he had refined. The guy did not make one for himself, the materials were not sufficient, but when Shakti, Amil, Noah, and Cal cast their gaze on the armor Yang Dao was putting on Yue Jing they had complicated reactions.
After the distribution, the group moved and they were headed in the same direction as earlier. As their flying swords picked up the pace, Cal said, “Whoops, forty people, gathered twenty kilometers ahead.”
Yang Dao said, “Oh, great, why are they all gathered at the same place?”
Noah replied, “Could it be they found the teleportation array?”
“Could be that or they found some treasure and fell into conflict,” added Shakti.
A guy with glasses on his face said, “We shall not take part in the conflict and get to the teleportation array as soon as possible. Otherwise, this unnecessary strife can lead to casualties.”
Yang Dao clapped his hands and said, “Spoken like the true scholar Senior Brother Socrates. Senior Sister Shakti, you will be taking care of the negotiations if we are obstructed, Senior Brother Amil and his best friend Cal will be keeping quiet for the time being.” ρꪖꪕᦔꪖꪕꪫꪣꫀꪶ
The two guys gazed at him only to get blocked by the others glaring at them. Their hot-headedness almost triggered a battle between the last group from the Sweet Elixir sect. They did not want to face such a situation again and that too against four groups. Yue Jing said, “If they are four groups already, then that means, with us approaching, everyone will be gathered there.”
This statement was stating the obvious but a mention of reality made it sink better in the heads of the disciples. They were all teenagers, if you do not mention the obvious, they will overlook it.
…
The flying swords moved through the void and before long, they spotted four groups standing in a stalemate. They were all silently watching each other as they stood on the ground. As they sensed the groups, they also sensed Yang Dao and the rest.
Cal said, “We land at some distance, maintain the status quo.”
Nobody had any objection and they settled at distance. Shakti took it upon herself to introduce Yang Dao to the three groups, she said while looking at a group of young people standing in a formation each with a sword on their waists, “They are from the Immortal sword sect.”
Yang Dao nodded and said, “I get a sense of tingling just by gazing at them, and just so you all know, the strongest of them all is standing in the front. He has more knowledge of sword intent than I do.”
His words did not surprise the people as the person they were talking about was the prime disciple of the Immortal Sword Sect.
Shakti introduced him to the people of the Titan Sect, they all wore crimson robes and had a distinctive charm to themselves, giving off a noble vibe. Then she pointed at the people from the Prestige School. Yang Dao recognized them from Yue Ming’s appearance in the crowd, the guy was staring at him with a gaze that could kill. Yang Dao had no fear, so he even waved at the guy with a smile on his face.
Shakti said in a whisper, “How do I initiate the conversation, while they all give off such a solemn aura.”
Yang Dao shook his head and said, “These people all think, that the first one to talk will lose the initiative, but do they not understand that if they did not talk, they will not be able to reach consensus and nothing will be gained either. Dumb fools.”
His voice was low enough for Shakti to hear, if he had said it out loud then all the people would have drawn weapons. He sighed after gazing at the people and said, “I will do it. Just be ready at any moment and do not reveal your intention. Everyone understands this, right?”
The group nodded and Yang Dao took the lead to step ahead of the group. The reason they allowed this young boy to go forward was that he was the most cunning of them all.
Yang Dao did not let them down and as he came further ahead of the group he said in a loud voice, “Ummmm, well although you are all from different sects, you are all elder than me, so, allow me to address you all as senior brothers and sisters. Would you all mind coming over and discussing what is happening here?”
His words were well put and his tone was calm. However, how can these people lower themselves to someone younger than themselves, would it not disrespect them to move when a younger person calls them to? Although the prime disciple of the Sweet Elixir Sect was aware of his power, she did not wish to make things easier for him.
As predicted, the leader of the titan sect cast a disdainful gaze upon Yang Dao and said, “Has the sovereign sect fallen so much that they send forward a child? Go home and stay with your mother, kid.”
Cal sighed and said, “Uh-oh.” the rest also had the same expression and the Sweet Elixir Sect could not help but feel a twitch on the corner of their eyelids.
Yang Dao sighed and said, “Here I thought you were all civilized. I will go home after I have imparted some manners on you, red berry. As for the status of my sect, well at least it is better than some people who are nothing but a pile of golden rat poop.”
His words shocked everyone, they were literally insulting and funny. The leader of the Titan Sect hollered, “Who did you call a pile of golden rat poop, bastard.” and he radiated a strong aura of a third-level Golden Core Realm aimed at Yang Dao.
Yang Dao clicked his tongue and said, “I called you, a pile of GOLDEN RAT SHIT. As for that pressure you are radiating, even my pee levitates to the sky under such an excuse of an aura. Calm your balls or I might do it for you.” as soon as his words dropped, he revealed a set of cold eyes, that when fell over the opponent, sent shivers down his spine.
The other leaders all raised an eyebrow, especially the leader of the Immortal Sword Sect. The shock was not contained to the disciples, but even the elders in the spaceships, monitoring the situation were unable to calm down.
