576 Silly.
Sun Eckhart and Balor were the first to deal with the Saint Daemons in front of them. When they arrived at Yang Dao’s location they saw the child floating in the void with a silver bow in his hand. Balor wanted to act when he heard a voice, “This one is mine, Senior.”
The voice sounded directly in his mind, the sword in his hand came to an abrupt stop. He raised his head and saw Yang Dao gazing at him with golden-colored eyes. The Dao Child had invoked his elemental pupil. He wanted to aim at the place where the four elements that made up the body of this Ancient daemon were the weakest.
But all he saw was a black crystal cube inside the heart of the Daemon. His instincts told him to shoot the arrow at the crystal and so he did. The arrow was made with the perfectly harmonized source energies of the four elements. After the arrow penetrated the chest of the Daemon, it let out a roar.
Yang Dao slowly descended to the ground and came to stand in front of the wailing Daemon. The roars of the creature were so harsh that they killed a few of its kin around him.
“Was it worth it?” asked Yang Dao.
The Daemon roared, “Argghhh, take this thing out, or kill me.”
Yang Dao shook his head slowly and said, “You have committed deeds that left a lot of people with pain much greater than this. You will slowly vanish and your pain will come to an end. You should also have a taste of the medicine that you gave to people. Should you not?”
Sun Eckhart and Balor heard a cold indifference in his voice, and could not help but exchange a glance. Yang Dao said, “You represent the imbalance, and I am the balance. Your time has come to an end. Leave.”
As he said this, the arrow inside the chest of the Daemon began to dissolve slowly it burned him from inside out. The body made up of four elements was a cage that guarded the crystal of chaos inside the heart of the ancient Daemon. Chaos gives you power instantly, however, once it reaches a certain limit, the power will become poison and if you were unable to control it, then you will reduce to nothing but ashes.
As the Ancient Daemon burned he cursed at Yang Dao, however, the chaos was eating him up from the inside. The Daemon groaned and tried to attack Yang Dao a few times before his power left him. The Dao Child said, “Greed is an emotion, everyone has it. I am greedy too. However, if your greed is insatiable, you will become greed itself, swallowing everything and in the end, even yourself.”
His words were echoing in the minds of the two sect masters. They did not expect his philosophical knowledge to run so deep. When they were enlightened by the young child in front of them, the daemon slowly began to turn stiff. The wails simmered until eventually, the creature turned to stone and then dispersed like talcum powder.
Yang Dao did not say anything, but his wings vanished and he sat down on the ground. Sun Eckhart saw a trace of blood seeping out, he came to his side and asked, “Dao, you are hurt.”
Yang Dao said, “The armor protects me well, yet the shockwave harmed my ribs a lot as if I was being squeezed. So, it is just a minor…”
Before he could complete his words, he slumped on the floor. Sun Eckhart quickly checked his body and heaved a sigh of relief. Balor asked, “What happened?”
Sun Eckhart said, “Exhausted his spirit energy. The drawback came in too fast.” calmly as he picked up the boy in his arms. Balor said, “You take him to the ship for rest. I will help the people clear this stuff.
Sun Eckhart nodded and vanished from his spot. Balor stood in his spot and sighed silently, as he mumbled, “This child is not blessed by heavens, but heavens itself. Phew, scared the old man in me.”
Balor was at least a century old. So technically he was an old man. He put aside his thoughts and moved to help the people clear up the leftover minions.
…
Sun Eckhart appeared inside the spaceship and made his way directly to the area where the alchemists were, he found Edler Jing Shui and Lysa standing over to supervise the young alchemists in pill refining. He said, “Elder Jing, Dao is hurt.”
His words, made a few people have a horrified expression and look at him. Elder Jing Shui said, “Calm down, he only has only exhausted his spiritual energy and nothing else.”
The people heaved a sigh of relief and went back to their work. Jing Shui took the boy from Sun Eckharts embrace and asked, “How did he end up like this?”
“He has been shredding the Daemons for two days straight, on top of that he soloed an Ancient-level Daemon, with one hit that too,” said Sun Eckhart, trying to keep his voice as calm as he possibly could. ρꪖꪕᦔꪖꪕꪫꪣꫀꪶ
Jing Shui and Lysa were not having an easy time keeping their expressions under control. Athena stood on the side, she heard this and coughed slightly to wake up the two elder women. Jing Shui brought the boy to a makeshift infirmary and put him on a bed. Then she checked his pulse after condensing a thread with her spiritual essence.
Lysa directly placed her fingers on the nape of the boy and with an astonished expression said, “His spirit energy is recovering and he will be up in just a few hours. What is this with his physique?”
Yang Ting Ting was also present on the spaceship, and she said, “He has been like this ever since he started cultivation, senior.”
Lysa asked, “What herbs did his mother take when he was about to be born?”
Yang Ting Ting shook her head and said, “None, it is said that aunty Ling could not bear children so Uncle Shan ventured inside a secret realm and snatched a heavenly herb, then only they had Dao. But the alchemist said that Aunty Ling must not consume any other herb as it would be too potent for the fetus to survive.”
Jing Shui gulped when she heard the explanation, Lysa exchanged a glance with her and the young girl said, “I hope you two are not trying to cut him open, believe me, we have tried, but the outcome is not very pleasing.”
Athena snapped, “What do you mean? You have tried to cut him open?” with an anxious tone.
The other people also gazed at Yang Ting Ting as if she was some retard. The girl shivered and said, “What? It was his idea, we were just kids, however, the sword could not get through him and he only chuckled. I can swear on my dao heart, he used his puppy eyes on me to get this experiment done.”
Natalie could not hold it any longer and chuckle. The rest also laughed, Elder Jing Shui shook her head and said, “Child, you sure are naive, and this kid is a devil.”
Yang Ting Ting bowed to her and said, “Finally someone could see through this guy. You have my eternal gratitude, Senior.”
The chuckles continued. One more day passed and the battle came to an end. None of the Daemons were spared. There were casualties but they were still lower than expected. The armies returned to the Yang Domain planet. The planets were then destroyed by the combined attack of the Immortal soul experts. They did not want to leave back any trace of the Daemons.
…
Inside The Heavenly Dao Palace, Laohu Bai said, “Looks like this is my round.”
Ryu Jinshi sat with a long face. He could not understand how he lost. Atsuji Kurogame said, “Ryu, do you know that the seals I cast on his soul will not shake until they have reached the determined age?”
Feng Yun took a sip from her teacup acting as if she was not present in the place. Kiya, Lisa, and Mika glanced at the man and had no idea how to say anything, they could only strangle their laughter inside their stomach.
Ryu Jinshi said, “I understand that, however, when Young Master is in such a bind, how can he get past with his limited skills?”
Laohu Bai replied, “It is not the skills that determine the outcome of the battle, but the application of those skills. Understood, and thus you lose the opportunity to meet him and I get to teach him to combat at school.”
Feng Yun put her teacup back on the table and said, “Dao Yin is approaching her trial.”
Atsuji Kurogame nodded and said, “I wonder how she will deal with it.”
Kiya spoke up, “Master(s) I have observed her, how come her sword carries the hint of destruction?”
Laohu Bai smiled and said, “If Yang Dao represents creation, then Dao Yin represents destruction. Understood, silly disciple?”
Kiya stuck out her tongue and nodded.
