Chapter 39
In general, when choosing the path of a Wizard, most people are greatly disappointed or frustrated when they know that they have non-attribute magic.
The more they follow the path of magic, the more they become obsessed with wands containing powerful attribute spells.
‘In the end, they didn’t last long.’
But Luciel was different. She was not disappointed with the results and was silently doing her best on the things given to her. Rather, it was Gillard himself who was disappointed at the great expectation that Luciel would express a special attribute.
“Luciel, I’ll give you your own wand as a gift.”
Luciel nodded vigorously at the pounding words of ‘your wand’.
“Can I already have my wand?”
“Yes, I’m going to give you one with the attribute you want.”
“Oh…”
But Luciel shook his head.
“Thank you so much for giving me a wand, but I don’t want it to contain any attributes. Is there a wand that can purely contain my own mana?”
“Why?”
Usually, people would want to have a staff with powerful attributes, but Luciel blinked her eyes, and said.
“As the compass told me, if I don’t have any attributes, I want to start from scratch. There must be things I can do on my own. And….”
Luciel whined while trying to open the large book she had pulled out of her carrot bag and a small, plump finger pointed to the book.
“I heard that non-attribute wizards can become stronger later on.”
As written in the book Luciel showed, non-attribute magic existed among the ancient high-circle wizards. Gillard thought Luciel’s attitude of not having greed for underserved power she didn’t possess was remarkable and unique. He was proud of her.
“As you said, I will make you a wand with no properties.”
“Thank you, Grandpa.”
Gillard stroked Luciel’s head and affectionately told her,
“It will take about a week to request from a wand maker. Now, let’s go back and finish the class.”
“Yes!”
Luciel happily learned the various magic that Gillard taught her. The class went by so quickly that it was regrettable. After class, Luciel kept touching her pounding chest. Whenever she used magic, her pulse accelerated and her heart fluttered loudly.
‘It keeps acting weird.’
Something seemed to change in her body.

“Sister Luciel. Let’s have breakfast!”
“Luciel, why don’t you go on a lunch picnic with this Grandpa today?”
“Luciel, have dinner with me”.
Luciel found it somewhat strange having breakfast with Leoni, lunch with Grandfather, and at the end of the day, dinner with the Duke. If this was the case, she thought it would be better if everyone ate together.…. So she asked a question, and each answer came as follows.
“I like eating with Sister the most.”
“Let’s just eat together, me and Luciel.”
“Isn’t it uncomfortable to be together with everyone?”
They were three real family members, but they seemed to feel more comfortable being with Luciel, who was an outsider.
‘Why did this happen?’
Luciel didn’t know. Come to think of it, except for a family dinner, it seemed like everyone was eating by themselves. After Luciel became Leoni’s meal mate, the Duke and Grandfather had time to eat with Luciel two or three times a week, even if they were busy.
However, I haven’t seen Grandpa and the Duke eating together.
Luciel was curious about that fact and asked Eva. She seemed to be familiar with it because she had been in charge of Bellstein Castle for a long time.
“Eva.”
“Yes, Little Madam.”
“The Duke and Grandpa don’t eat together, right?”
“Yes, the two usually eat separately and only eat together at dinner.”
“Why don’t they eat together?”
“Hmm… That’s…”
Eva picked her words for a moment, then continued,
“It’s probably because of the nagging. If there is anything they don’t like, the Elder Master nags the Master, and the Master also nags back at the Elder Master. They think it’s annoying so they try to not eat together.”
“Oh…”
Luciel, who was enlightened by Eva’s words, said,
“Then why isn’t Leoni eating with the Duke…”
“It must be because he doesn’t want to be scolded.”
The men in this house seemed to hate to be scolded or nagged at.
“Then I’ll have to tell everyone not to do that, so we can all get along.”
At Luciel’s words, Eva smiled and brought a honey-coated peach for her to eat.
“It’s something that only the Little Madam can say.”
“Only me?”
Lucy rolled her eyes with a face that didn’t quite understand the words and brought a sweet peach into her mouth with a fork.
That evening, Luciel mustered up the courage to tell everyone, with blushing cheeks.
“I want to have a simple breakfast with everyone. Oh, there are some rules. You must come to the dining hall in comfortable clothes, and nagging each other is prohibited.”
At Luciel’s persuasion, all three Bellstein gathered in the morning dining room and sat down at a small table.
Even after washing their face, they wore comfortable pajamas. Gillard felt somewhat different because it was the first time to have a simple meal, not dinner or an event, together.
“It’s nice to start the morning together in a comfortable place like this. It’s like an ordinary family.”
“Right, Grandpa?”
Gillard, dressed in purple fluttering pajamas, placed the plate in front of Luciel.
This morning, Eva and the other servants promised to let them eat without catering, so they put the food on the plate themselves.
The Duke, who was counting the number of main dishes, which was significantly less than usual, said with his arms crossed and without wrapping a napkin,
“……The table is too poor, Eva?”
When his head naturally went up, calling Eva, Luciel said,
“Ah, father-in-law. You promised not to call Eva. Let’s have a nice meal with the family.”
“Master, if you need anything…….”
At Luciel’s point, the Duke gestured to Eva, whose face was peeking out from the door, that it was nothing.
“……I did, indeed. It’s nothing, go get some rest, Eva.”
“These are all foods that I enjoyed for breakfast… If it’s not enough, I’ll go to the kitchen.”
As Luciel was about to get up, the Duke shook his head and raised his hand to stop her.
“……I’ll try it because you said it’s good.”
The Duke seemed to see this menu for breakfast for the first time. Luciel asked,
“Have you not tried these dishes for breakfast?”
“I don’t know because I tend to skip breakfast.”
At the Duke’s answer, Luciel seemed to know who Leoni’s picky eating resembled.
“If you want to properly work on government affairs, you need to take care of your nutrition.”
“……Broke the rules. Nagging.”
“Hop!”
Luciel was startled and covered her mouth.
“I’m sorry. But this beef soup and buttery rye bread is one of my favorite breakfast dishes.”
Luciel rolled her eyes and smiled softly.
Love for such simple food? The Duke’s mouth twitched for a moment.
Was it because of Luciel’s diligent meal mate duties? Leoni, who was sitting next to Luciel, was eating well, without being picky about the beef stew and fresh vegetables.
“Yum yum yum.”
Leoni deliberately made a sound to eat more deliciously. It was not long before Luciel captured his virtual efforts and stroked his head.
“Look. Leoni eats very well.”
“Yes, I’m fine with everything! Dad, aren’t you eating?”
At the question of his son, the Duke had no choice but to raise a spoon. The two children curiously stared as he ate the stew.
“Stop looking. I think I’m going to get indigestion.”
He said so, but his eyes opened wide at the savory taste of the stew that passed down his throat.
“What do you think? Is it edible? It tastes better if you eat it like this!”
Luciel, who was looking at him with bright eyes, broke the bread and ate it with plenty of stew. Instead of answering, the Duke watched what she was doing and did the same.
“My my, you know how to eat.” (Gillard)
“…….”
It was the same with Gillard, who couldn’t help but find it strange. He was aware of the picky eating habits of Louivid that no one could fix.
Leoni and Gillard soon followed suit and began to eat.
“It’s delicious!”
“Oh, it’s really good, Luciel.”
“Hehe.”
Eva, who was enjoying tea outside, heard the sound of laughter echoing in the small dinning hall. She smiled and quietly left the place.
Thanks to Luciel, it was a relaxing time she had in a long time.

These days, Luciel looked at the window like a habit all day long, when eating, waking up in the morning, and falling asleep.
When she returned from an outing, she would often ask Rose or Bessie, ‘Are you sure Bell hasn’t come back?’
It was when the moon and starry night were high in the sky, when Bell returned to Luciel’s room.
Tock Tock.
As Bell pecked the window, Luciel, who had deeply fallen asleep, barely woke up.
A star-shaped lamp enchanted with light magic flickered, creating a soft light. The shadow of a bird fluttered in front of the window.
“Huh? Bell! You are here!”
Surprised, Luciel rushed over without wearing slippers and struggled to open the window. Bell’s white wings seemed to shine brighter in the dark. Luciel welcomingly spread her arms out, but Bell quietly sat on her shoulder.
“Did you have a good trip? What’s the reply?
When Luciel saw a note hanging from Bell’s ankle, her eyes widened with joy. Then she held Bell and went round and round in place. Luciel fell down like a splash onto the bed, Bell, who was terrified, flew off and slipped into the cage.
“Oh, right. The reply.”
Luciel laughed softly and got up from the edge of the bed. Then she approached Bell and carefully opened Kizef’s letter.
