Chapter 118 - Intercepted

Chapter 118: Intercepted

As Luo Ziling walked back to school, his mood was a little down, thanks to Ouyang Feifei.

When he went to the Ouyang family’s villa today, Luo Ziling had felt that the time he spent with Ouyang Feifei in the garden went by pretty well. he’d even thought that she was also a pretty cute and likable woman.

When he treated her and was exposed to her fair and tender body, some weird thoughts had even floated into his mind.

However, the good impression he had toward Ouyang Feifei just now had completely vanished, thanks in no part to her slightly unfriendly way of speaking and the cold manner in which she’d treated him. If it wasn’t for that, he wouldn’t have left such parting words.

After a brief walk, he finally calmed down. When he entered the campus gates, he took out his glasses and put them on.

He was well aware that he had a reputation in the university, so he always made sure to put his glasses on whenever walking around the campus.

While initially it had been a huge boost to his ego whenever people recognized him and greeted him, it got tiresome rather quickly, so he’d taken to always putting on a pair of black-framed glasses as well as styling his hair differently, not wanting to be seen.

There had been no barbers in the village he’d grown up in, so his hair had always been longer than the average male’s, though not so long that his hair would flutter in the wind.

Even after coming to Yenching, he did not go for a haircut, so his hair was still very long. If he combed it in the right way, it could cover his forehead.

Long hair and glasses had become a very good disguise for him. It wouldn’t be easy for one to recognize him even in broad daylight, let along the darkness of night.

Luo Ziling walked into the school gate with his head lowered. When he reached a place with dim lights, he was suddenly stopped out of nowhere.

When he saw a black shadow rushing towards him, Luo Ziling was shocked. Thinking that someone was trying to harm him, he reacted on instinct and decisively grabbed the assailant’s arm, preparing to slam the person into the ground.

However, when he lifted the person up, he felt that something was wrong.

This person was a woman, and so he instantly hesitated.

A startled scream rang in his ears followed by Ouyang Huihui’s exasperated voice, “Luo Ziling, you jerk, you actually took advantage of me again! Why aren’t you letting go of me, you pervert?!”

Luo Ziling also recognized that the person who wanted to “Attack” him was Ouyang Huihui, so he quickly put her down and jumped away to avoid being assaulted by her.

He didn’t feel that he had done anything wrong, so he asked, “What do you want?”

“I was just waiting for you here!” Ouyang Huihui looked at Luo Ziling with hatred, looking like she was ready to eat him alive. “How dare you treat me like this? I’m going to die of anger one day, and it’ll be all your fault!”

“How could I know that you were waiting for me here?” Luo Ziling was already in a bad mood, and after Ouyang Huihui made such a scene, he became even unhappier. “I thought someone was trying to attack me!”

“Don’t tell me you didn’t look around clearly before attacking.” Ouyang Huihui’s arrogance was reduced, but she still pouted angrily. “Were you really going to attack someone without even looking at them clearly? Isn’t that too much?”

She had indeed wanted to scare Luo Ziling, and even wanted to trick him into making a fool of himself, which was why she’d suddenly rushed out at him when he approached her waiting spot. She’d wanted to see him get flustered and panic, hoping to make fun of him.

She didn’t expect to be almost thrown to the ground, though.

When she returned to school, she’d been with Ouyang Feifei’s motorcade in a separate vehicle driven by one of her sister’s bodyguards.

After she was dropped off, she’d decided to wait for Luo Ziling at a path he would have to pass by to return to his dormitory. She wanted to know what had transpired between him and her sister. There was no way Ouyang Feifei would tell her anything, so the next best option was to ask Luo Ziling what had happened.

She didn’t expect things to turn out like this. Instead of successfully launching a sneak attack, she was picked up and almost thrown to the ground.

Although he hadn’t touched any sensitive spots when he’d lifted her into the air, she’d still been scared half to death from the weightless experience.

What made it worse was that she was wearing a dress.

When Luo Ziling lifted her up in the air, her dressed had flipped over as well. She didn’t know if he’d seen anything or not, but she was angry and humiliated nonetheless.

She really didn’t know how to describe how she was feeling now.

“What do you want from me?” Luo Ziling didn’t want to argue with Ouyang Huihui too much. He simply wasn’t in any mood to do so.

“You’re the one who’s bullying me, and yet you’re not going to apologize?” Her rage grew at the sight of his impassive face. She took a step forward in anger, “Are you a man?”

“What did I do to you? It was just a subconscious reaction, and I didn’t hurt you!” Luo Ziling felt very wronged, but when Ouyang Huihui aggressively stepped forward, he still took a step back.

“I’m wearing a skirt, and you lifted me up in the air! Doesn’t that count as bullying?” Ouyang Huihui pressed, her heart full of dissatisfaction. She wanted nothing more than to kick this man out of the campus gates. “You’re too much!”

“I didn’t see anything I shouldn’t have.” Luo Ziling hadn’t paid attention as to whether or not she was naked when he’d picked her up, so he felt like he was being wrongfully accused. He didn’t want to get too entangled with Ouyang Huihui’s affairs. “If there’s nothing else, I’ll go back first. It’s late, so you should go back to the dormitory and sleep early!”

As he said that, he prepared to run away.

“I won’t let you leave!” Ouyang Huihui said angrily. She opened her arms and blocked Luo Ziling’s way. “Not unless you apologize to me and tell me what happened between you and my sister today!”

“I’m sorry,” Luo Ziling apologized straightforwardly and then said, “I told your sister about her condition and then treated her. Nothing else happened!”

As Luo Ziling spoke, he quickly dodged past her spread arms and ran away without looking back.

Ouyang Huihui hurriedly chased after him for a bit, but how could she catch up with Luo Ziling? In the end, she could only stand in the darkness, jumping and cursing in the direction where he’d disappeared, cussing him out with all the foul words she knew.
