True Alpha’s Chosen Mate

Chapter 189 - Do The Math

Chapter 189 – Do The Math

Since I didn't have a proper change of clothes, I used Hugo's clothes. Thanks to my three-year experience of traveling from one place to another, I made it look like Ronmin Empire's traditional regalia. But that wasn't my concern. The finger circling around my shoulder blade while I was sitting motionless on the settee was.

I glanced to my left, only to see Hugo wink. He was reclining against the armrest, arms draped over the settee. He kept teasing me by touching me sensually, his fingertips tracing my skin.

I cleared my throat. "Hugh, stop teasing me." I pouted, watching him smirk evilly.

Hugo and I had another intense lovemaking — three consecutive, to be exact — before coming into this sitting room to meet Azazel. I barely wiped my body because he told me it was better to 'preserve' his scent on me.

A shallow breath slipped past my lips as I gazed down. But jumped the next second when I felt something hot touch my ears, drawing back only to have his arm still around my waist. I covered my ears, eyes shaking at him.

"Hugh!" I yelled, grinding my teeth. "Why did you lick me?"

"You look delectable." He shrugged nonchalantly, grinning with his lips closed. He leaned his face forward until it was only a palm length away from mine.

"Also, I'm bored. We arrived early. Should we kill time while no one is here?" he asked, wiggling his brows while pulling my waist closer.

"Hugh." I shrunk back, fist on his chest. "Too much. I can barely feel my legs."

I bit my lips while clipping his inner shirt between my thumb and index. In the past, although Hugo had almost bottomless stamina, we would take breaks. This morning, we didn't. He just went on and on as if he truly wanted to cripple me to the bed for days.

He frowned. "But we just had three rounds."

I looked at him wide-eyed. "Just?" I gasped, scrunching my nose up in disbelief.

"Mhm. Just." He blinked twice, sporting an innocent expression. "Three years, Rinrin. For three years, I touched no one. So, you can do the math…"

Hugo suddenly furrowed his brows as he narrowed his eyes. "Did you…?"

"No!" I exclaimed even before he could finish his sentence.

"Then why don't you want it? We can do it all day while they clean up Althea. Don't you enjoy it?" he tilted his head with genuine wonder in his voice. "Is there something wrong with my performance? I mean, three years is a long time. So, obviously, it's like knowing pleasure for the first time again."

My face gradually colored in red. "It's not that." I looked away. Did I have to spell it out for him? But it was embarrassing.

"It's not what?" he asked. "Rinrin, can you tell me? I won't know if you don't make it clear."

"I… I enjoyed it as much as you, alright?" came out a tiny voice, glancing at his clueless countenance.

"Huh? Then why are you refusing?"

"Because I don't feel well," I lied through the skin of my teeth, letting out a shallow breath. Honestly, it wasn't that I didn't want to do it again. Hugo and I were still married; he told me this morning he burned our divorce papers. It wasn't like we would stop even if we legally separated, though.

But the real reason might not please him. I felt like treading on eggshells around Hugo. We reconciled and spoke sweet nothings, held each other's unclad bodies as if there was no tomorrow, and moaned each other's name as if that was the only name we knew.

Right now, we're still alone in this mansion. But I could hear footsteps and noises outside. It wouldn't take long when the person we were meeting would arrive here. It would be very awkward to have people come in while we're being intimate.

"Really?" he planted his palm on my forehead to check my temperature. "You don't have a fever, though."

"Hugh, we didn't get enough sleep last night and this morning, we had a very extensive exercise." He frowned at my argument, so I flashed him an understanding smile before brushing my nose against his. "We have time, Hugh. We can do it anytime. I'm not leaving."

"Even if you want to and beg me, I won't let you," he grumbled while I chuckled.

I drew my head back, staring into his pair of golden eyes. I cupped his lean cheek, sighing faintly.

"I love you, Hugh, and I will always do. That is an unchangeable fact." I kissed his lips briefly and then kissed him more to appease him. "Leaving again is stupid. You and I had suffered already. I don't have any reason to leave now."

I nodded reassuringly at him, smiling to bring him some peace. Hugo kept claiming he wouldn't let me go and would even go so far as to threaten me. It was scary, in a way. If I didn't know him, I would've run away already.

But I loved Hugo.

How he couldn't trust me entirely and becoming overly possessive of me was something I could understand. I left him three years ago. And it was only last night that we met and patched things up. We would take time to build our trust, so I wanted to trust the process.

It was not like he was the only one who couldn't fully trust this relationship. It was safe to say, I was also alarmed in a way. I simply chose to be more understanding.

"Promise?" he urged in a calmer tone, eyes fixed on me.

"I promise." I smiled.

Hugo let out a shallow breath as he rocked his head. He then arched a brow and glanced at the door upon sensing the presence outside.

"I'll seal the promise, then," he whispered, leaning forward without a moment's notice to claim my lips. I stiffened when he bit my lips lightly, slipping his tongue into my mouth to deepen the kiss.

All I could do was shut my eyes and clutch his shoulders on instinct, hearing the creak of the door as it opened. As soon as the faint creak reached our ears, he paused and carefully broke his lips away from mine.

"You're here?" he voiced out while I slowly cracked my eyes open. "You should've taken your time."

"Why? So I will have to sit in a room that reeks of your semen?" I froze at the crisp voice by the door, hearing his feather-like footsteps come in.

I slowly turned my head in the man's direction. As soon as my gaze fell on him, my breath hitched.

'He is… Azazel? No way…'

When one problem was resolved, another one would appear. And I was certain of that.. Because this face… I knew this face all too well.
