UNDYING WARLORD

710 Abandoned Children

After the Lightning Titan became one of Dilan’s trusted allies, things became a lot easier.

The Lightning Titan might not be well known anymore because he spent the last tens of thousands of years in the lightning storm sphere but that didn’t mean he couldn’t message his old comrades.

Some of them might have died but the Lightning Titan was certain that most of them were still alive and doing well. He even said that they would surely join Dilan’s Mystic Mission. Most of them had been abandoned by their own race, or even hunted because their powers were much stronger but also different from the racial traits of the race they belonged to.

Dilan learned a lot new things from the Lightning Titan, including that there were many more powerful races that loathed members of Ancient and Primordial races. Most of these races would never dare to offend the Ancient and Primordials because they would easily be able to tell that their race was doomed whether Dilan’s mission failed or succeeded.

It was not as if Dilan could promise to protect the Greater Races, whose populations exceeded trillions, spread over several stellar systems.

That was simply not feasible. It was possible to abandon their race and fight by Dilan’s side as independent mercenaries. Using this tactic, one could protect their race and fight next to Dilan. However, it would hardly be possible to return to their race after they ‘abandoned’ it.

The Ancients and Primordials would make things difficult and bloody the moment they were to find out about it.

Most Primordials and Ancients didn’t even know the names of the lesser races, to begin with.

“Don’t you worry too much. There will be more than enough of us Abandoned Children, who’ll follow you. We always wanted to fight the Ancients and Primordials so we’ve finally found a good reason to gather all people and fight these arrogant assholes!” The Lightning Titan said while levitating next to him.

They were on their way to the next suitable ally on Dilan’s list. It would take a while to reach him but the Queen’s Image had given him some help once more. The mirror emblem showed him where he had to go to reach the closest Gate that would lead the two of them closer to the Demon of the Ancient Battlefield.

The Demon of the Ancient Battlefield was also someone who the Lightning Titan knew. They didn’t really like each other but that was something Dilan could ignore easily.

Both had been abandoned by the Ancient races they had once belonged to. Funnily enough, both had to be beaten into a pulp according to the most efficient way to convince them to join which Dilan had received from the Queen’s Image.

The list of suitable allies in the conquest of Milarn was quite helpful and the same could be said about the navigation system that was implemented in the Mirror emblem.

With the navigation system, it took them only four days to travel across the Universe and find the home of the Demon of the Ancient Battlefield.

While traveling across the Universe, they might have disturbed a bunch of lesser and greater races but they simply passed by them. It didn’t really matter if they were bothered by their intrusion because they hadn’t claimed the Gates.

Unclaimed Gates could be used by anyone who met the requirements to pass through them. Thus, Dilan and the Lightning Titan had passed through the Gates without any qualms.ραпdα `nᴏνɐ| сom

“So that’s his territory? I didn’t expect him to choose this planet for his hideout…” The Lightning Titan mumbled.

“What’s wrong with that planet?” Dilan retorted, confused.

“There is nothing wrong with this planet itself. It’s just that a few special events happened on this planet. To be precise, the Ancients and Primordials happened here…including the doings of the Shiran…”

“…Shiran? You mean the Ancient race? The Demon of the Ancient Battlefield is also a Shiran…”

The Lightning Titan landed on the devastated land of the small planet after he retracted most of his power. He spread out a little mana, barely enough to let others know that he had come.

It was a message to the Demon of the Ancient Battlefield.

Dilan landed on the black ground as well and he quickly noticed that he had sunk in the wet soil.

He frowned and shrouded his feet in the azure flames of the Flame of the Beginning. Afterward, he followed the Lightning Titan who seemed oddly familiar with this place.

“Members of Ancient races and Primordial races are not very likely to give birth. Their fertility rate is low and the chance to give birth to a ‘flawed’ child is even lower. Both mutations in the bloodline, or DNA are something most Ancients and Primordials don’t accept. That is also why there are far more Abandoned Children than you can imagine.

As for this planet…it was used as a disposal for many Abandoned Children. The Demon of the Ancient Battlefield was also brought here when he was only a few years old. It was a very long time ago…”

Dilan listened intently to the words of the Lightning Titan and he couldn’t help but frown deeply.

“Many Abandoned Children died. This planet had been in control of vicious monsters that were nourished by the blood of the ‘Cursed’ children they devoured. It was horrifying but many Ancients and Primordials were in dire need of these monsters…. After all, they could devour the Veilures who had drained the Universe of its Fate and Origin Energy.

Once fully digested, these vicious monsters would release the Fate and Origin Energy back to the Universe. All-in-all, that was great…if not for their need for highly purified and potent blood. It was possible to feed them with the blood of adults, but Cursed Children had become a delicacy for those monsters…

What do you think happened next?”

“…I… How the hell am I supposed to know that? Just tell me!”
