233 Thank You For Your Preference

Ellergest looked at the scene with amusement. He had been fighting demons for a while, but when Blank finally arrived with three other strange children who were overly strong for some reason, the tide of the battle changed completely. The fight he had against the enraged Erdrich ended well as well, as the half-demon boy was now lying in the floor, back into his human form, all while most of the Blue Oni were slain by the soldiers, knights, priests, and the three children brought by Blake, who had incredible strength for their ages.
“[Spinning Kick Pirouette]!”
Ellergest noticed the strongest of the three, Erika, who was holding into a large steel blade that shouldn’t even be possible to be wielded by a girl her age. She spun around like a refined dancer while using her delicate legs to kick Imps away with extreme ease, killing them in one or two kicks with amazing efficacy as well! It felt as if she wasn’t even human, as if her entire body was made of metal or something! Ellergest couldn’t help but see an incredible potential in this abnormally monstrously strong girl.
CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!
Her kicks were amazingly strong and combined both gracefulness and strength. But that wasn’t all, there were several dolls around her, fighting against the demons and supporting her, often time swarming the Blue Oni so she could finish them off by slicing their heads off with the incredibly strong blade she had, which was already cursed with demon blood and held supernatural powers that increased in strength the more it slew demons.
After seeing the dolls, Ellergest finally recognized the girl. It had been roughly three years since the awakening ceremony, if not four years, but he still couldn’t get off his mind that one girl with that mysterious Spirit and Talent.
“S-She’s the Princess with the Doll House?!” He wondered with shock. “T-To think that such strange yet unconventionally rare Talents and Spirits could be used for battle in such a way! She’s a one girl army!”
“Wait… Is she the girl you once spoke to me, lord Ellergest?!” Wondered Seth at the side of the old man. “Only royalty can gain Talents such as Princess, Prince, King, Emperor, and the like… What’s that girl’s true identity?! And that spirit she has… Doesn’t it seems similar to the family of doll makers that was once exiled, the ones that made a big fuss several years ago?!”
“The Rose Family?! Is she… a descendant of that accursed family that brought chaos to the Kingdom so many years ago?” Wondered another priest nearby.
“Silence! She’s a child, do not attribute the sins of her ancestors to her… She had come to help us, and she’s doing an amazing job at that!” Ellergest said. Moments later, Erika quickly ran to his side to check on them.
“Blake told me to heal you guys! Cleric Dolls, do your job…! Change Job!” Erika said, surprising everyone within this group that had been fighting Imps and Blue Onis for a while, as several of her warrior and other job dolls suddenly changed Jobs! This was one of her newest Spirit Techniques, allowing Erika to use MP to change the Jobs of her dolls and maximize their capabilities! Dozens of dolls suddenly and magically changed outfits into Clerics, and flew in midair towards the people, conjuring small healing spells that, when combined together, made bigger and stronger ones, healing deep wounds and even people lethally wounded!
Elizabeth and Jack were brought by Eric and Chris to the group of people being healed, as the Dolls took no time to heal them as well, especially Jack who was at the verge of death for some time and was barely holding thanks to his Chain Spirit that was holding his wounds tightly for them to not bleed anymore.
“A-Amazing, our wounds are being healed so quickly!”
“How can she conjure magic so easily with her spirit to boot?!”
“D-Did you learn these spells, little girl?”
“Y-You’re a bit too young to be in the battle, but we appreciate you nonetheless…”
“Learn? No I don’t have healing magic affinity. My dolls can conjure their own magic, I didn’t teach it to them!” Said Erika with an innocent smile, happy to help others.
“Now Erika, don’t go around telling everybody about your powers! Blake is going to get angry if you reveal all your secrets! Remember to be secretive, he always drills this into our heads!” Sighed Eric, reprimanding the talkative Erika that liked to be praised. Erika immediately covered her mouth with her hands while raising her eyebrows in shock.
“I heard it all.” Sighed Blake, as he was right behind her!
“B-Blake!” Erika muttered, fearful of his reprimanding. However, Blake ignored her for the most part as he seemed slightly tired. The demons had stopped coming from the woods at this point, but the fight was still ongoing in the frontlines.
Carrying Erdrich with his arms, he put him in the floor near Elizabeth and Jack, as Blake looked at everybody, and then noticed that Ellergest and Seth were next to him.
“Blake? What’s with that name?” Asked Seth while raising an eyebrow.
“Hm… It seems you got a lot of secrets, don’t you, young Blank? Or should I say Blake now?” Asked Ellergest.
“Ugh. Look, we can talk about that later.” Sighed Blake. He had already guessed this would happen beforehand, so he had prepared himself for this annoying conversation, but he decided to pull it for later, when everything was resolved. “More importantly, we need to heal this kid. His spirit awakened and saved him from going more insane, but we can’t use conventional healing magic on him either. Now that he had awakened too much demon power, healing magic will burn him and hurt him more than healing him.”
Ellergest and everyone else took a look at Erdrich as they nodded, all while Blake checked on Elizabeth and Jack for a few seconds, noticing they were alright now.
“Certainly, but how can we heal a demon?” Sighed Ellergest.
“I’ve prepared special demon potions made out of their blood for that very occasion… But you’ll have to pay for them, this kid is your adoptive son at this point, right?” Asked Blake with a smirk.
“Y-You greedy brat! So that was it!” Ellergest couldn’t help but sigh as he crossed his arms. “Fine! I’ll pay you for them later! I’ll also ask you how you even made them to begin with…”
“Thanks for your preference, customer.” Said Blake with a pleasant smile, feeding Erdrich a demon blood potion.
