264 Max Level

The next day finally came, it was around 7 AM when I woke up. My parents and my grandmother were still sleeping even though they usually wake up at this hour, yesterday’s party lasted until 3 AM so it’s understandable if they’re still tired. Especially my father who put his life on the line for the war, my mother is also pregnant of twins so she’s naturally tired all the time, and my grandmother is… well, old.
Anyways, Eleanora should be fully recovered now so I quickly summoned her at my side. The moment she appeared, she jumped over me and hugged me…
“Eleanora…?!”
“Ah…! I apologize…! Was that too much?”
“Why the sudden hug?”
“Erm… W-Well… I just wanted to hug you. After that battle yesterday, I truly felt like we would had died… It made me think that I had been rather distant with you, so I wanted to make up for it…”
“With a hug?”
“Sorry…”
“No need to apologize, I think it was a good compensation. I will ask you about more of these compensations later.”
“O-Okay…”
Eleanora blushed for a bit, something I rarely saw. She was truly a beautiful maiden even in her small form. In fact, she looked like an adorable girl I wanted to adopt and raise as my daughter. But in her true form is where all her charm arises. Ah, I am getting too lost in my thoughts. I better go to the main topic, the Status.
“Grimoire.”
F L A A S S H!
The grimoire answered my command, quickly emerging before me and opening its pages, showing me my status. It had indeed changed and increased generously.

It is a considerably and substantial increase, the level ups really put up all the work I wanted. Compared to Eleanora though, I am still weaker than her in combat and agility, but that’s because she’s a Spirit. Spirits are always supposed to be stronger than their own masters, as they’re made to protect them and grant them their power. My Mana Points are already over 600, and this is quite easily noticeable seeing how much magic I can currently conjure. This also increased my automatic Mana Regeneration speed.
If I continue growing stronger through cultivating my Mana, even more magic can be acquired and I will be able to conjure even more magic above others. Nonetheless, even with this amount, it is clearly not enough if I want to conjure more complicated and powerful spells or enhance my body’s physique to new limits.
I had considered what to spend my Stat Points into, Mana was a good thing, but now that I have a lot, maybe the difference won’t be as noticeable. I was lacking severely in Health, Strength, and Vitality, but spreading my Stat Points in all three would also barely make a difference. Therefore I decided to invest everything on Strength.
[You have spent all your Stat Points]
[You gained +40 Strength]
[Your muscles are quickly developing…]
“Ngh?!”
“B-Blake?”
Suddenly, I fell down to my knees. Infusing so many Stat Points into Strength caused a horrid paralyzing pain all over my body’s muscles. It felt as if my muscles were being electrified and constantly developing. My arms and legs felt way stronger than before, and even my stomach hurt a lot. I contained my pain and waved my hand, telling Eleanora I was alright.
The pain slowly reseeded after a few minutes, and I seemed to be alright now. It seems that infusing too many stats at the same time into physical-related stats causes an instant change into the body which might cause pain. Hm, I have to be careful with this. Perhaps infusing the stats by little might be more bearable.
Nonetheless, now I had 262 Strength, and the difference was quite as clear as water. I could even lift Eleanora with a single arm without having to enhance my strength through magic and Ki. And above all, the Physique I’ve refined into my body has also advanced and slowly evolved, I might soon reach the next Tier and unlock more vampiric abilities. Now, the only thing I have left to assign are Skill Points.
With Skill Points I’ve been able to gain new Skills and improve my combat capabilities, while also increasing my stats passively and acquiring new effects as well. Some Skills such as Heavy Drinker have no direct impact in battle, but aid me on getting more benefits out of drinking potions and other consumables with magical effects. There is also Robust Body that increased my growth of Vitality and Health, and even Hawk Eye, which allowed me to see from very far away and enhanced my detection abilities as well…
“What happened?” Wondered Eleanora.
“Ah, nothing much, I had spent Stat Points into Strength to increase it. The stat was lacking a lot despite other stats being higher… So I gave it a boost. Have you distributed your own stat points?” I wondered.
“Oh, I have yet to do that! Where should I invest?” She wondered.
“Hm, let me see your Status…”
