Chapter 267: Jia Shan's Class – Part 2
Chapter 267: Jia Shan’s Class – Part 2
Jia Shan drew a picture of a human body on the ground. Then, he created several lines with his wooden sword, “Every time you move, you create these natural flows. When flows appear, they also create Points of Beginning and Points of Death along with the flows. Naturally, martial experts can sense its general direction of those points and flows as openings. However, few can pinpoint the exact location of death and beginning.”
Then, he patted Miaomiao with his sword, “Some of you should have seen how I fought with my nascent soul when we were trying to cross the Red River. At that time, I used my domain and attacked the Points of Death to break my opponents’ Qi barrier and their armors to minimize my Qi usage. That’s the foundation of my abilities so far. Of course, my sword domain is my dao, so I won’t teach you how to use it.”
Jiang Lan raised her hand, “Is the Point of Death, a weak point?”
“It is not just a weak point. It is the MOST FATAL LOCATION of one’s physique and Qi flow. Being attacked on the spot once can spell death even if you are stabbed to your arms or your legs!”
“Wow!”
Ju Chen raised her hand next, “Is the Point of Death related to the critical meridian or a certain point in our body? For example, if I gather my Qi in my palm, will my palm becomes the Point of Death?”
Jia Shan nodded and shook his head, “Sometimes. The Points of Death vary since every person’s bodies are different. In your case, I can tell that your current Point of Death is your right chest since you always collected excess blood Qi there and used that location as your second heart. It becomes your weakness.”
“Wha!? You can tell!?” Ju Chen was shocked. It seemed that the perception was more profound than she had thought.
Ma Xingjuan had an inspiration and caught up to something. She raised her hand, “So, we master our weapons to awaken our perception first. Then, we can pinpoint the death points of our opponents next, and then, we will be able to defeat them easily by attacking the points?”
“Not quite, but you’re close!”
Jia Shan grinned as he admired how smart Ma Xingjuan was. As he had expected of the war hero’s granddaughter, the girl inherited Ma Ping’s innate talent and intelligence, unlike a certain disciple of his.
“Points of Death only works to humans or demons weaker than you by a realm or two. Beyond that, you can only use it as a reference since the flows usually keep moving and you won’t have enough time to pinpoint and react to the changes. My perception only works for 5th-stage cultivators or weaker. If I have to fight 6th-stage cultivators or stronger, I can only use them to locate a general direction of their weak points, but I won’t be able to accurately strike the death points every time.”
Jia Shan paused to inspect everybody’s faces to check if they understood his lecture. Aside from Zhao Yun, everyone seemed to understand the general idea. As for Miaomiao, his jaw dropped as he stared at Kang Yan in awe.
“And now, you might want to ask what it has to do with my sword training. Well, I say this. It has to do with everything! All of you have been neglecting fundamental martial training but focusing on increasing your cultivation base! You lack combat experience, and your martial techniques can’t keep up with your new strength! This is your greatest weakness that you need to fix!”
The eyes of the yin slaves were on fire after they had been listening to this point. They clenched their fists as they agreed with the elder.
“As such, we will go back to the basics! If you can master your weapons and awaken the perception, you will be able to keep up with the ever-changing life-and-death combats. Even if your foes have superior cultivation techniques or skills, you can still overwhelm them with your perception and firmer basic!”
“Oh!!”
The girls were excited. Even Zhao Yun went along with the flow and got motivated. Now, everyone wanted to continue training.
On the other hand, Miaomiao wiped his sweat. He thought to himself.
‘If everybody suddenly has the same power of Shiki Ryougi or Shiki Tohno, will I be safe in bed? Will they suddenly stick their hands into the death lines and cut me to pieces when they’re pissed?’
Miaomiao had goosebumps. He continued swinging his wooden sword, hoping to get the ability as well.
But then, he smacked his head as he remembered something important.
‘Can’t I just copy Kang Yan’s skills again? I can just dual-cultivate with her and copy everything she learned! Hahaha, I’m an idiot. I should have thought of this earlier!’
As Miaomiao was thinking about taking shortcuts, Kang Yan could read the former’s mind and reminded her husband, “Master, if you’re planning to copy my skills through sex, you won’t be able to use it proficiently in combat since you won’t have my muscle memory. You’ll forget to use the right skills at the right time since you have learned so many skills recently. Please obtain the abilities and skills yourself before you copy my skills. You need to develop your muscle memory first.”
“…”
She had a point. Miaomiao always forgot to use many skills when he fought.
Currently, Miaomiao possessed over 20 skills, but he only used a few of them in real combat. Most forgotten skills were the system skills that he had stolen from clones.
Some of the skills had the potential to be useful when it was used together with elemental Qi. However, Miaomiao lacked practice, so he always used the skills that he had mastered.
Miaomiao finally remembered his old days, when he always reminded himself to practice using one move 10,000 times than learning 10,000 different moves.
‘Haiz. I’ve been relying on the system for so long that I forgot about my principle. It’s time to revise that and go back to basic. Alright. I’m going to do everything over again, starting from this stupid sword-swinging motion a million times a day!’
Now, Miaomiao was motivated. He decided to refrain from having sex with his wives and focus on training from now on.
Also, he hadn’t forgotten that he had a crazy sex doll in the Isolation Training Space. He could just stick his meat inside Xu Chu and let her do everything for him.
…
“I think we’re safe to move now.”
Mao Xueyan and her remaining tribesmen gazed at the party of Qiang Sui, who moved toward the east.
Hiding in the illusion array were several beast folks from various tribes, such as weretigers, werecats, werewolves, elemental foxes, silver pythons, cockatoo basilisks, and pixie chickens. 2,500 beasts out of 3,000 were non-combatants. As for the remaining combatants, their strength was merely 4th-stage, which was too weak to contribute anything on a large-scale battlefield.
Moreover, some of the combatants didn’t look like they were suitable for battles. For example, the werewolf tribe could only transform into werewolves at night, and they were strongest when there was a clear full-moon. During the daytime, they were in the form of corgi, pug, or Pekingese, which were useless in combat. At best, they could pretend to be cute and make their opponents die from a heart attack.
The same applied to weretigers and werecats. Everyone under the 5th-stage couldn’t transform into a humanoid form, and they got stuck in the animal-like bodies. Although weretigers were a bit more useful in fights, werecats couldn’t do anything with their cat form other than asking their foes if they wanted to form contracts and become magical girls.
Silver Python Tribe sounded majestic. However, in reality, most of them were small white corn snakes, which could grow into an oversized Anaconda, but only a thousand years old snake could reach that stage. As such, they were a group of tiny adorable snakes that latched on other beast folks like a parasite.
Pixie Chickens were the worst. They were the mixed breed between pheasants and peacocks, but they had rainbow wings. Their stomach was round and fat while their colorful feather tail attracted too much attention. The only thing good about them was their immunity against Red River Water.
Surprisingly, Cockatoo Basilisk Tribe was the MVP of this migration. Their appearance looked the same as normal cockatoos. However, they could instantly turn their opponents to stone by staring into the eyes of their enemies or peck them.
These noisy cockatoos were born with an innate talent and they possessed three basic elemental Qi from birth – the earth element, the wind element, and the metal element. Their Qi volume was also higher than average beastmen at the same cultivation rank, so they were experts in ranged combats, which required elemental Qi.
In short, these birds were the deadliest air force of the beast folks, which was the main reason why not many cultivators dare fly over Tian Long Forest.
But in the end, most of them were useless since the main forces of beastmen had been injured during the previous fight against Qiang Sui’s army.
Currently, Mao Xueyan and Dandan gathered these cute tribesmen in the illusion array, hiding from the battle between the orcs, Liu Bian’s ghouls, and Qiang Sui.
Currently, Mao Xueyan had restored her strength after she had eaten the divine pill. However, her appearance remained as a young maiden, who seemed to be 14-15 years old. Her short stature, flat chest, cat ears, and two white tails remained the same.
However, Xueyan continuously leaked the divine aura of a sacred beast. By being around Xueyan, the beasts’ spiritual power soared. Many weak beasts evolved to the 3rd-stage or 4th-stage just by staying around her.
The White Tiger Soul gave Xueyan a new power, which was similar to Qiang Sui’s Gold Element Domain. However, her aura gave a permanent boost.
Xueyan’s natural aura automatically awakened the potential of all beasts around her. Thus, the effect was superior to Gold Element Domain.
Dandan turned to her sister, “Out scouts said that the orcs are confronting the group of people from Siren City. Should we move to help them?”
“We don’t have enough manpower. Let’s escort everyone here to the city first. Then, we can move out to help them.”
The group advanced as they made more illusion arrays to cover their tracks and their presence.
…
It took Mao Xueyan’s group a week to detour around the destroyed orc camp and reach Siren City’s east gate.
The beast folks avoided Zhao Bao and Fogan’s presence as they thought that the two were in the middle of combat or negotiation. Even Mao Xueyan didn’t dare to get close to these experts as she was afraid that the weaker beasts would get caught in the crossfire.
Still, everyone migrated to their destination safe and sound. Everyone was relieved while they enjoyed the Life Essence in the air.
The tribal chief of werewolves, Xun You, looked at the 20-meter tall city wall and the giant bronze gate in awe.
The werewolf tribal chief was still in his pug form. Although he walked on two legs and acted like humans, his height and adorable appearance didn’t suit someone in his position.
“This city is average, I guess, woof!”
“You think?” Mao Xueyan was amused, “Wait until you see the interior of the city.”
“I bet that guy by the name “Mao Miaomiao” must have built a crystal tower in there, right?”
“Oh? You know about the tower?”
The pug puffed his chest and stuck his tongue out, “I used to visit other cities before. Red Sun City has one of the towers, but it’s hidden in the underground city beneath the surface city. The other one is hidden within the Bing Mountain Range across the Red River, north of Red Sun City.”
“Oh? You seem to know a lot. Since when have you traveled the continent?”
“Woof! I was once a pet of Emperor Liu Hong, and I followed him around. After Liu Hong is ill, I got the heck out of there without looking back. Then, voila! Here I am! Woof! Woof!”
“…”
The pug’s name was Xun You, who was the eldest son of the great werewolf warrior of the previous tribal chief. He got this position because of his status.
The werewolf tribe was in decline. All 5th-stage warriors and stronger werewolves had died from the war against the Qiang Clan. Now, they were left with weak 4th-stage werewolves who only possessed lesser werewolf bloodline.
In summary, the only use of this tribe was being adorable.
Many werecats and weretigers looked at the corgis, the Pekingese, and the pugs in disgust. They had the urge to drive this tribe out of the union, but none of them dared to offend them.
Whenever someone jeered or mocked the werewolves, these little dogs only retaliated by licking the haters and waggling their tails. As such, the felines were afraid of being swamped by cute dogs and being drowned by their stinky saliva.
CLEAK
As the beast folks had been gathering in front of the east wall, the bronze gates opened.
Ma Moxi opened the doors to welcome the beast tribes.
As soon as Ma Moxi came out to welcome them, one of the foxes dashed toward the former and jumped to his face.
“KUU!!”
The fox latched onto him like a leech. She ran around his neck and his shoulders, spreading her body scent all over him.
“Oh, hey, Ke’er. You’re back.”
“KUU!!”
The fox was the cub that Ma Moxi had saved. He had bonded with the fox cub for a while before he returned her to Xueyan’s side.
Now, she had completely recovered and returned to Moxi’s side. The cub was so happy that she didn’t stop licking Moxi’s face and wagged her tail.
Then, by accident, the fox’s tongue slipped into Ma Moxi’s mouth.
“Hey! That’s my first kiss!”
“KUU!!”
The fox grinned and continued licking his face.
The onlookers warmly smiled at them. Even Mao Xueyan nodded in approval, “She likes you, and she gave you her first kiss. Take responsibility, okay?”
“Wait, what?”
Dandan laughed, “Oh, I guess we haven’t mentioned it. There’s a custom of our tribes. Whoever steals a maiden’s first kiss must take responsibility and marry the maiden!”
“…”
Ma Moxi became a stone for a moment.
A few minutes later, his shocking scream was so loud that everyone in the city could hear it.
