Chapter 35: Representative Selection (2)
Chapter 35: Representative Selection (2)
“Y-Young master Xu. Please reconsider! It’s dangerous to fight her!”
Some of the Joyous Yin disciples tried to stop Miaomiao. Many of them were 3rd stage cultivators, but they were no match for Kang Yan as the latter’s double dantians could hold more Qi than them. Therefore, they thought that Miaomiao would lose and got expelled from the sect for sure.
“Eh, don’t worry about it. I’ll show you how it’s done.”
Miaomiao leaped onto the stage and wiggled his fingers, taunting Kang Yan to fight him.
Kang Yan pulled out a thin rapier from her spatial ring, but she didn’t take a fighting stance. She sneered at Miaomiao as if the victory was already hers.
“Come! Since you’re a junior, I’ll allow you to attack first!”
“Ah, overconfident youth,” Miaomiao chuckled and shook his head. He also took out an ordinary saber from his spatial ring, which he bought from the contribution hall.
Inside the space ring, over a hundred refined Yang stones and refined Yin stones piled in a corner. Another pile of ordinary sabers laid on the other side and several healing pill bottles were arranged in the center. As for the rest of the empty space, spare clothes and food were allocated there.
Miaomiao had to shove every ordinary item there as his 10 system inventory slots were occupied by magic weapons, which he obtained from the clones.
Not wanting to reveal his trump cards, Miaomiao decided to use an ordinary saber in this match. From his perspective, using a system’s magic weapon was overkill.
“A saber?” Kang Yan was amused, “I don’t remember that our sect has a saber technique. Well, it’s not like you’re not allowed to use foreign techniques anyway. Come! Show me what you can do!”
“…”
Miaomiao didn’t utter a word. He strolled toward Kang Yan.
The Virgin Yin spectators sneered and scoffed at Miaomiao. They looked down on him for not having a footwork technique or a quick movement skill.
“In the end, he’s a pushover. He hasn’t even learned a footwork technique.”
“What do you expect? He’s a filthy trash that his brain only knows one word; sex.”
“What a waste. He has a good birth, but he doesn’t treasure his opportunities. Had he not been born in the Xu Clan, I would have killed him long ago.”
Again, a few Virgin Yin disciples commented and annoyed Miaomiao’s fans. All Joyous Yin disciples wanted to refute, but they didn’t know what to say to protect Miaomiao’s reputation.
Meanwhile, Qi Hong and Long Meifang could sense a subtle Qi flow within Miaomiao’s dantian, circulating within his body. When they noticed how quick his Qi strands moved around within his body, they giggled.
“The match is over,” Long Meifang looked away and brought out snacks and a bottle of wine from her spatial ring.
“Humbleness is king. Arrogance is the highway to hell,” Qi Hong’s eyes opened a bit, analyzing Miaomiao’s Qi circulation skill and his current constitution.
‘His Qi doesn’t get hindered by blood vessels or muscle fibers. The circulation speed is too fast for a first stage level 10. This is something that a 3rd stage cultivator can do. Does that mean that Xu Miao has been practicing Qi Dissolving Technique? Is he crazy!?’
The disciples didn’t understand what Qi Hong and Long Meifang were talking about. They thought that Miaomiao had already lost.
On the stage, Miaomiao got closer to Kang Yan. They were five meters apart.
Ten strands of Yin Qi, which had been circulated to Miaomiao’s feet, were deployed and escaped from his feet, running toward Kang Yan’s feet.
The red hair knight didn’t notice the oncoming energy flow until they reached her feet. By the time that she could detect it, the ten strands of Qi condensed and manifested an ice spike.
It was one of the skills that Xu Xiuying’s clone had used against Miaomiao in the Isolation Training Space, but Miaomiao already mastered the Yin Qi Manipulation Technique and could mimic her skill.
*POEK*
The ice spike didn’t have a sharp edge as Miaomiao didn’t want to kill Kang Yan. Instead, he turned the tip into a large fist, which punched the arrogant girl to the gut.
Kang Yan couldn’t circulate her Qi and protect her body on time. She got stunned by the Qi attack and tumbled backward. She vomited her breakfast out as the impact rocked her abdomen.
Miaomiao didn’t follow up or do anything fancy. He stopped next to Kang Yan and placed his saber on her neck.
“GG.”
The jaws of spectators dropped. A heavy silence fell upon the floor as they couldn’t comprehend what Miaomiao had just done. All they saw was a manifestation of a giant hand from the ground, and it punched Kang Yan before she could do anything.
Even Qi Ning couldn’t believe what she saw. She had practiced a similar skill, Ice Manipulation Technique, so she understood what Miaomiao had used. However, she couldn’t figure when Miaomiao had practiced this skill since he never left his room.
“IMPOSSIBLE!”
“Just… how?”
Four other elders from Virgin Yin School were also speechless. They had the same thoughts as Qi Ning.
On the other hand, cheers suddenly erupted from the Joyous Yin disciples who had consummated with Miaomiao. They celebrated how he defeated the arrogant disciple in one blow.
“SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR PRECIOUS HYMEN, BITCH!”
“YOUNG MASTER XU, YOU’RE AWESOME!!”
“TAKE THAT BITCH!! AHAHAHA!!”
“YOU’RE A PET NOW, KANG SLUT! MAKE SURE TO SERVE HIM WELL, KYAHAHAHA!!”
The cheer was so loud that every worker and housemaid on the eleventh floor and the ninth floor could hear it.
Seeing that her disciple was humiliated, Qi Ning snapped, “SILENCE!!”
Everyone shut their mouths. They closed their ears since the elder’s voice was amplified by her Qi.
“XU MIAO! THAT ONE DOESN’T COUNT! YOU WILL HAVE A REMATCH WITH E300!”
Qi Hong and Long Meifang glared at Qi Ning. This elder got on their nerves.
Yet, Miaomiao still looked calm. He turned to Qi Ning with a bashful smile.
“Sure. But can I increase the betting stake?”
“What stake!?”
“If I want to use my CP and bet on me. If I win, can I get more CP?”
Frustrated by Kang Yan’s failure, Qi Ning couldn’t think straight, “Fine! I’ll bet my CP with you! How many do you want to bet!?”
“All of my CP!”
“Hmm! Fine!”
“Are you sure? Do you know how much I have-“
“I SAID FINE!”
Qi Ning forgot to ask how much CP Miaomiao had. She leaped to Kang Yan’s side and fed her a healing pill.
It took Kang Yan five minutes to recover. She regained her strength again.
Confirming that Kang Yan was back in her prime condition, Qi Ning announced the rematch, “Fight again! E300, don’t get cocky. Fight with everything you have!”
“Y-Yes, senior!”
After getting humiliated, Kang Yan got back on her feet and took this fight seriously. She glared at Miaomiao as if he was her arch enemy that had killed her parents.
“Xu Miao! I want a rematch!”
Miaomiao shrugged. This was clearly against the rules. But since no elder from JY School protested or protected him, he might as well reap some benefit.
“Sure. As a gentleman, I’ll let you have the first move.”
Kang Yan brandished her rapier and leaped away from Miaomiao.
Qi Ning used this opportunity to start the match, “BEGIN!”
While they were 20 meters apart, E300 used this opportunity to circulate her Yin Qi. It took Kang Yan two seconds to cover her weapon with her blue aura, which was faster than what the average 2nd stage cultivators could do.
2nd Stage cultivators hadn’t evolved their meridians yet, so their Qi circulation was slow. Averagely, cultivators with the same strength usually spent 3 to 5 seconds trying to move their Qi from their dantian to their hands and feet.
Moreover, applying Qi to aura skill was already a difficult task for average cultivators, but Kang Yan finished everything in 2 seconds, which displayed her talent.
Virgin Yin disciples gazed at Kang Yan in admiration. They expected that Miaomiao wouldn’t be able to defeat her this time.
But for Miaomiao who had sparred against monstrous clones with inhumane reflex, tactic, abilities, and weaponry, this circulation speed was so slow that he got sleepy watching it.
‘Those clones at level 7 can activate a Qi skill faster than that. Had she been one of those bastards, she could have attacked me while she was circulating her Qi. They would have attacked me five times during those two seconds instead of just keeping the distance and concentrate on one skill. This girl has no experience in real combat or understands the multi-tasking tactic.’
Miaomiao got bored watching the inexperienced girl trying to cast a spell. He felt like watching a newbie kickboxer trying to show off their newly learned move.
The bored expression could be seen by everyone. Kang Yan got more infuriated that Miaomiao was looking down on her.
“Take this! Wind Slash!”
Instead of using her rapier to thrust, she swung it, creating a cutting wind, flying toward Miaomiao at the speed of 200km per hour.
Miaomiao didn’t dodge or try to avoid the oncoming attack. He stood there, standing and waiting for it to arrive at him.
Again, the so-called Wind Slash, aka Wind Cutter, was still slow in Miaomiao’s standard. He had seen many clones from Qing Clan using this basic skill, and it was way faster than hers.
Ranged skills from the clones were always instant, which took less than a second to complete the casting process and attacking sequence. Furthermore, they never used one skill at a time, but they always mixed in normal attacks and Qi skills together, making their attack patterns unpredictable. Sometimes, their normal attacks became Qi attacks as they were using artifacts and magic weapons.
Facing against a simple attack without a follow-up strike, Miaomiao didn’t know if he should just dodge it or parry it. Everything seemed dull compared to the usual sparring matches he had.
Miaomiao only frowned as he moved one strand of Yang Qi to cover his saber with his aura. Then, he swatted the wind cutter magic with the weapon like how he swatted a fly.
*DING*
The distorted wind was destroyed in an instant.
“HUH!?”
Kang Yan couldn’t believe her eyes. That attack was one of her strongest ranged attacks, but Miaomiao destroyed it with just a simple swing.
Before the crowd or Kang Yan could start commenting about how it was impossible to block a Qi attack, Miaomiao already disappeared from where he had stood and reappeared in front of her.
“My turn… Stripper Swordsmanship, First Art, Armor Destruction.”
By the time that Miaomiao finished speaking, he had already finished cutting Kang Yan’s armor with his saber. Nobody could see what he did other than the spectating elders.
Miaomiao didn’t say anything else, but he turned around and walked away from Kang Yan.
“Bastard! How dare you turn your back on me!? I’ll kill you!”
Kang Yan circulated her Qi into her rapier again, planning to skewer Miaomiao and kill him. The latter didn’t even turn and look at the former, but he muttered in a dominating voice.
“Omae Wa Mou Naked Deiru (You’re already naked).”
“What!?”
*SHING*
*CRACK*
The next second, Kang Yan’s studded leather armor suit cracked and fell apart into small broken pieces. The entire armor and her clothes were cut and destroyed, revealing her bare body. Yet, she wasn’t harmed. Not even a scratch was left on her beautiful white skin.
“!!!!”
Kang Yan’s face flushed. She screamed and sat on the stage, hiding her naked body.
“H-H-How is this even possible!?”
Miaomiao sighed, “Are you going to surrender, or are you going to keep on fighting? I don’t mind ravishing you in public, you know?”
