Villain Cultivator

Chapter 454: Guo Jia’s Test - Part 1

Chapter 454: Guo Jia’s Test – Part 1

The meeting with Uriel was brief.

After the archangel had warned Miaomiao to prepare himself, he traveled across the sea to the Holy Land.

Miaomiao returned to the city to finish the mountain of paper works and various meeting schedules. He also sacrificed his sleeping time to clear everything faster.

Although Wei Yuan, Ju Shoufen, and Hopea managed most of the paperwork, Miaomiao still had to meet various visitors, strong clan leaders, and merchants once in a while.

Among the meeting schedules, some of the queuing visitors had already waited half a year! Over 5,000 top cultivators from various clans were eager to have a private conversation with Miaomiao.

In the First Division Audience Hall, where outsiders and visitors could meet Miaomiao, the sect master sat on the master seat, reading the names that Wei Yuan had given him.

Miaomiao clicked his tongue as these people stated in the papers that they wanted to introduce him to their daughters, sisters, or granddaughters. He passed the list back to Wei Yuan.

“Can you filter out pimp parents? I don’t want to see the faces of greedy parents and their daughters.”

Wei Yuan snickered and shove the list back to Miaomiao, “Regardless if they want to introduce their daughters, you still have to meet them. Some of them are rich, you know. Even if you don’t want to take another wife, you can accept their offer and assign the girls to join the maid battalion to form a friendly relationship with them. If you don’t like the girls, you can even transfer them to THAT division.”

Wei Yuan referred to the Tenth Division’s unique battalion, which consisted of succubi from the Silver Phoenix Sect, vampire girls, and women from the Zhu Clan.

Coincidently, all disciples of the Tenth Division were all women as well.

The tenth division elders were White Album, Ju Chen, Liu Guang, Sun Yun, Tang Ting, and the low-profiled wife of Miaomiao, He Mingzhu. All of them had the qualification to be leaders as their strength and combat prowess were better than standard nascent soul realm cultivators.

This division’s greatest strength was their bloodlust, blood techniques, unorthodox cultivation methods, and strange arts that enhanced their natural beauty. The disciples, deacons, elders, and workers of this division were so popular among men that many male cultivators were dying to catch a glimpse of their pretty faces at least once in their lifetime.

The deacons of this division were none other than former members of the Silver Phoenix Sect, namely Long Meifang, Qi Hong, Qi Ning, Yao Lan, and even Xiong Zhenzhen. Although Miaomiao hadn’t talked to them yet, Ju Chen and her team had already met them and integrated the women into Siren City’s system.

Miaomiao wondered what kind of interaction or the reaction those evil women had when they met.

“Yeah, that’s a good idea. Let’s transfer those daughters to that division and let them learn the women’s way… the bloody way.”

“Cool. Now, will you start summoning those greedy bunch to meet you? We should be able to clear at least 100 families in the list before nightfall, and we might be able to meet 50 more during the night.”

“I guess this will be a long day.”

“Correction, a long fucking month! We’ll be meeting people non-stop for a month to clear all the schedules! Don’t you need to prepare for the fight against Ling Tianlong?”

“…”

As Wei Yuan had warned him, the meeting with clan lords, merchants, and visitors of the sect was tiring. 99% of them never hesitated to tempt Miaomiao with their sisters, daughters, granddaughters, or even their mothers!

Miaomiao did what Wei Yuan had advised him, giving the people a positive reply. In some cases, they were adamant about selling their daughters, so he simply accepted their offer and transferred the women to work at the tenth division. And if they were to throw tantrums or behave unreasonably, Miaomiao would introduce them to one of his sons and let them enjoy being broken by those horny orcs.

Each meeting was short since every group only had five minutes, but it took five extra minutes to summon another group to meet with Miaomiao.

In the end, Miaomiao could only meet six groups of people an hour or 144 groups a day.

They were behind schedule since they had to talk to 5,000 people of various cultivator clans or merchants for the sake of business deals. Even though some of them were commoners, who came here to pay respect to the city lord for the sake of mannerism, Miaomiao still had to meet them to maintain his image.

Two weeks later, Miaomiao had already granted audiences to 2,000 people. He didn’t sleep a wink, and he was dying to check his ITS farms or use the protagonist rematch mode to fight someone else other than Xie Tian.

On the early morning of the 15th day after Miaomiao had started granting audience to cultivators and local people, one of the visitors made Miaomiao’s sober.

He was a nascent soul handsome cultivator, who dressed like a scholar. Moreover, he seemed younger than the average local nascent soul experts.

This man couldn’t be older than 30!

The scholar had a simple headwear cloth, and his hair was neatly combed and tied, unlike local brutish cultivators.

“Greetings, Lord Mao. I am the representative from the Guo Clan, Guo Jia. I’m here to pay respect to you and inform you that I would like to become one of your citizens.”

“Ah, nice to meet you. I’m Mao… Miaomiao…”

Miaomiao frowned as he felt like he had heard this name before, but he couldn’t exactly remember it.

Spending a million years as Cernun took a toll on him. A portion of his modern world’s memory faded through time.

Ding

[Want me to refresh your memory?]

Fortunately, Dion had backed up Miaomiao’s old memory well. She offered him a hand.

‘Yes, please.’

[Loading your backup memory from 3 years ago. Please wait…]

‘Huh? Three years… UGH!!’

Miaomiao suddenly felt a severe headache as intense electricity heated his brain. Blood dripped from his nostrils and his eyes.

Guo Jia, the visitor, raised his eyebrows and observed the city lord with interest. He glanced at Wei Yuan, who stood by Miaomiao’s side.

Strangely, she didn’t react to Miaomiao’s condition despite the anomaly. She simply snickered and let him experience the unknown pain.

Miaomiao recovered a few seconds later. He beamed Guo Jia with a bright smile.

“Welcome to my domain, Fellow Daoist Guo Jia. Are you here to live in my city, or are you here to offer your service?”

Now, Miaomiao remembered this legendary strategist’s counterpart, whose intelligence was rumored to be on par with Zhuge Liang and Sima Yi. Miaomiao was delighted that someone with this caliber would proactively offer their service to him.

Guo Jia grinned, but he was inwardly surprised. He didn’t know what had happened to the lord, but Miaomiao seemed to have recovered from whatever injury just now.

For now, he wanted to test Miaomiao’s character.

“Unfortunately, I’m planning to migrate my family here, but I won’t be staying long. However, if you have a job for me, I don’t mind working to earn a few essence cores.”

“How much would you like to receive if I were to invite you to be my sect’s guest elder?”

“One Element Crystal or a unique blood essence of a dragon will do.”

“Sure!”

Without hesitation, Miaomiao fetched an orb from his spatial ring and tossed it to Guo Jia.

It was a Dragon Fire Element Crystal, which Miaomiao had gotten after he defeated Xie Tian’s clone at 600% difficulty.

“That’s the Dragon Fire Element Crystal. Is that enough to employ you to join my sect?”

Guo Jia raised his eyebrows once more. Now, the surprised expression turned into shock as Miaomiao’s generosity surpassed his expectation.

“Aren’t you too kind, my lord? What if I decide to run away with the crystal without working for you or contribute anything to the sect?”

Miaomiao shrugged, “Even after I revealed to everyone in the city that I have a connection with a big name Dao God, if you are insane enough to provoke him, be my guest. I don’t mind paying a few elemental crystals to test a talented man’s character and moral integrity.”

Guo Jia snickered. Instead of testing Miaomiao, he was tested instead.

The strategist counterpart raised both his hands, gesturing that he had given up, “Alright, I’m sold.”

“So, will you work for me?”

“I have a few conditions, though,” Guo Jia’s face turned solemn.

“Speak.”

“I don’t want to be your guest elder. I want a better position, preferably, a high-ranking management position and the authority over your military.”

Wei Yuan frowned as he grabbed the war club handle behind her, planning to smash Guo Jia’s head to a pulp.

The guy was too greedy!

She didn’t like him.

“Why military authority?” Miaomiao was amused.

“Because your way of handling military affairs is inefficient. If it were me, I could have conquered the continent six months ago. You delayed your expedition for too long, and your battalion organization charts, placements, and their generals were all a mess. It’s already a miracle that your city manages to function without a proper military system to protect it. Actually, I’m baffled why no one under has revolted against you yet when your military authority is never under your control.”

“…”

Miaomiao maintained his pokerface while he secretly released a strand of Chaos Element Qi into Wei Yuan’s war club behind her back.

The high-grade war club was transformed into a giant paper fan, but the handle and the weight remained the same.

Wei Yuan, who had no idea about what her husband had done to her temporary weapon, pulled the paper fan from her back and instantly smacked Guo Jia’s head.

PA

Guo Jia couldn’t react, and he was hit to the head. However, he received no damage.

Wei Yuan paused for a moment and glanced at her weapon. Then, she glared at Miaomiao.

“DID YOU MESS UP WITH MY WAR CLUB AGAIN!?”

Miaomiao rolled his eyes, “You are supposed to be my aide, but this is the 36th attempt that you tried to kill my guests. Cool your head a little. Did the previous tribulation ruin your anger management skill?”

“…”

Wei Yuan snorted and peered at Guo Jia. She stomped back and returned to Miaomiao’s side.

Miaomiao giggled as he checked Guo Jia’s expression. Of course, the latter was confused, and he meticulously readjusted his headwear.

‘What the hell is wrong with these people!?’

Guo Jia thought to himself.
