Villain Cultivator

Chapter 505: Lu Fengxian's Daos (RAW)

Chapter 505: Lu Fengxian’s Daos (RAW)

The battle of Meng Xin was broadcast throughout the Holy Land. Everyone in their locker rooms also saw the fight.

Many lucky nascent soul cultivators were confused about how the crabman died. Meanwhile, top experts with a bit of knowledge recognized the karma river and were shocked.

Ma Xingjuan was among them. She had Lu Fengxian’s memory, so she knew what kind of Dao that was.

Whenever Samsara used it, not a single Dao God could handle that Karmic Severing Dao without coming out in one piece.

Fortunately, it seemed that Meng Xin’s Dao was incomplete. He lacked a key item, the acknowledgment from Netherworld’s Yellow Spring Lords, and the right cultivation base to utilize the full power of that Karma Severing Saber.

Right now, Meng Xin was only a Samsara-wannabe. He was not that invincible as long as his opponent could also see their karma threads.

Ma Xingjuan scoffed, thinking that the boy was a bit overconfident and naïve. If it were her, she would have never revealed her trump cards in public and used only basic skills to defeat her opponent.

“The third match, Ma Xingjuan from Aves Continent versus Mu Shun from Squamata Continent!”

Ma Xingjuan discarded the thought. For now, she needed to survive the tournament. She rechecked her tournament bracket pamphlet, inspecting the brief detail of her opponent.

He was an 8th-stage reptilian, a demi-human with the face and the skin of a lizard. The profile picture of his also resembled Miaomiao in his previous dragonewt transformation.

Ma Xingjuan was interested in this strange demi-human. She decided to fight him.

As soon as Ma Xingjuan entered the arena, the crowd cheered once more. Even though they saw how she defeated her opponent in the previous round, these horny spectators still wanted her to lose.

“You’re going down, bitch!”

“Hahahaha, you’re lucky the previous round. Now, you have no chance against a lizard!”

Ma Xingjuan ignored the taunt and stood at her designated place in the arena.

A minute later, a lizardman with green scales came out from the other side of the gate. He wielded a harpoon and a net, just like Roman gladiators.

The lizard stared at Ma Xingjuan. Unlike other cocky cultivators, this strange lizard was calm and silent. Yet, his eyes didn’t hide his mockery and greed.

Ma Xingjuan noticed the look in the lizard’s eyes. She snorted and brought out her new weapon, which she had recently obtained from Miaomiao’s space.

It was a soulless incomplete heaven-grade crescent halberd. She also equipped herself with a pseudo war god dragon scale armor, made from Miaomiao’s dragon scales – The awkward pervert husband had peeled his scales to make this battle suit for her during his free time in ITS.

The quality was not as good as immortal-grade armor, but the defensive property of metal dragon scales was there. Normal Qi attacks and physical attacks would never harm her!

The successor of Lu Fengxian was ready for combat!

“Fight!”

Liu Che sent the signal and Ma Xingjuan activated her nascent soul domain. However, no one had noticed it since the domain range was only a meter around herself.

The lizardman also activated his soul domain. Suddenly, a dome of massive net appeared and swiftly shrank.

The net caught Ma Xingjuan!

“You’re dead, woman! You’ll be my dinner tonight!”

The Dao of Fisherman and the lizard’s soul physique merged, transforming into a five-meter-tall monstrous lizard with eight arms and four legs. His harpoons multiplied to four while four small nets were in the other hands.

The lizard sneered and threw harpoons at Ma Xingjuan.

“…”

Ma Xingjuan suddenly vanished and reappeared a meter to the left side. The harpoons missed, and she slipped off the entrapment domain.

“You can’t escape!”

The lizard threw two nets at her. Again, she flashed and appeared a meter nearby.

Failed to catch Ma Xingjuan, the lizard was fume with rage. He screeched and created a water tornado.

The tornado had the head of a python. It opened its mouth and charged toward Ma Xingjuan, aiming to swallow her whole.

WHOOSH

Ma Xingjuan blinked again. This time, she reappeared above the giant lizardman.

The Dao Avatar of Ma Xingjuan, the shadow silhouette of Lu Fengxian, appeared behind her back. Her body and Lu Fengxian’s shadow overlapped as she swung the halberd down.

It cleaved the giant lizardman in two!

The lizard widened his eyes in shock, but it was only a moment. He adjusted his body parts and put them back together.

Her attack didn’t cut through his soul core. His soul physique could still be repaired!

“Hahahaha! This is why a nascent soul cultivator can’t possibly defeat a soul physique cultivator! Good try, but you’re still too weak, little girl! Give up obediently and I’ll give you a chance to serve me tonight! If you satisfy me, I won’t eat you!”

Ma Xingjuan landed on the ground and looked up. Then, she tilted her head as if she was thinking of something else.

A second later, she remembered something interesting. Ma Xingjuan coughed and mimicked Miaomiao’s obnoxious poem, which he always said to mock dying clones in Isolation Training Space.

“Roses are red, Violets are blue, Omaewa Mou Shindeiru.”

“Hah?”

Ma Xingjuan turned around and walked away, leaving the confused lizard behind.

“How dare you turn your back on me?!”

The giant monster brought out another massive ax and raised it.

But before it could even swing it down, the ax slipped off his hands. The lizard suddenly couldn’t feel his fingers.

The lizard turned to see his hands. He discovered that his fingers and skin were slowly turning into dust.

“WHAT?! HOW?!”

Ma Xingjuan didn’t bother revealing the secret combination of her small domain and her Dao. She kept her technique to herself and returned to her designated waiting position in the arena.

The giant lizard’s water python also turned into normal water while the master turned into a massive speck of dust. His soul core and a spatial pouch plopped on the mountain of grey ashes.

“Winner, Ma Xingjuan.”

Ma Xingjuan waved her hands and collected the items. Then, she returned to her locker room.

“…”

The crowd was silent again. They couldn’t understand how Ma Xingjuan killed the 8th-stage lizardman.

While Ma Xingjuan was walking in the backstage hallway and heading to her locker room, he crossed paths with Meng Xin, who had been watching her match from behind the stage.

He smirked at her, “Nice trick there, elder sister Ma.”

Ma Xingjuan glanced at Meng Xin and scoffed, “Don’t get too cocky because you found your parent. Congrats for coming back to life, by the way.”

“At least, I’m using MY DAO, not SOMEONE ELSE’S DAO!”

“Hmph.”

Indeed, Ma Xingjuan had condensed three of Lu Fengxian’s Daos.

The first one was the God Slaughtering Dao, which allowed the practitioner to empower their weapons, turning them into a divine-grade weapon for a brief moment. Any wound that was caused by this weapon couldn’t be healed by normal means.

The second was the Sovereign Domain Dao that Ma Xingjuan completed before she condensed her nascent soul. It generated a small domain around herself, turning her into an illusion like a ghost. Then, she would be immune to all physical attacks. When it was used together with a footwork technique, it would look like Ma Xingjuan could teleport at a short distance.

The Dao could also increase Ma Xingjuan’s attributes by two to three folds, depending on her mental strength. However, she hadn’t mastered this Dao yet as Lu Fengxian’s mental strength was a lot stronger than hers.

As for the last one, the Dao of Healing Curse. This was the trick that Ma Xingjuan used to kill the lizardman.

Once Ma Xingjuan wounded the lizard, she applied the power to her attack as well. Anyone that was injured by this Dao would momentarily suffer from Qi Deviation Syndrome – If a victim attempted to heal, regenerate, or attempt to recover from their injuries, the Dao would reverse its effect, aggravating the sounds instead of healing them.

The lizard attempted to heal himself while he unknowingly suffered from this curse. As a result, he ended up hasting his own death with his self-regeneration power, causing his soul physique to self-destruct.

However, using this Dao put a toll on Ma Xingjuan. This Dao was something that Lu Fengxian had avoided using since it affected the user as well.

This was a double-edged sword Dao. She couldn’t recklessly use it unless she was certain of her survivability.

Yet, after all the trouble, Meng Xin seemed to know something about her Daos.

Ma Xingjuan didn’t bother bickering with Meng Xin. She entered her room and slammed the door.

Meng Xin, on the other hand, held back his laughter. He took out a tournament pamphlet, which contained a tournament bracket list.

His name was on the first bracket with other 63 contestants in the same bracket. Among the name list, Ma Xingjuan was there as well!

If Ma Xingjuan and Meng Xin were to defeat their next opponent in the third round, they would meet each other in the fourth round!

“I’m looking forward to it, Sister Ma. I’m wondering what I should do to you after I beat you. Hmm…”

Meng Xin gazed at his palm, which was holding a red line. He took it closer to his nose and sniffed it.

“Ah, Mao Miaomiao and Elder Sister Ma’s karmic thread. What are they gonna do if I suddenly cut it… meh, I’m not a bad person. It’s not like I want her as my bride. I don’t marry a second-handed good. Also, I don’t bully innocent people. It’s Mao Miaomiao that I need to kill.”

Meng Xin released the karma thread and walked away. He was in a good mood as if the world was under his palms.

Ma Xingjuan sat down on a wooden bench and unequipped her armor. She took off the visor and revealed her drenched inner clothes.

She was soaked in her sweat even though the fight lasted a minute. The Dao of Healing Curse exhausted her.

Wei Yuan and the other girls surrounded her. Mao Xueyan fanned Ma Xingjuan while the others gave her cold spring water.

“What happened? I thought you won by a landslide?”

Ju Shoufen was confused. She thought that Ma Xingjuan had an easy time, but she seemed to be troubled by something.

Ma Xingjuan sighed and received a warm towel from Kang Yan. Then, she revealed the truth.

“I just overexerted myself. Nothing to be worried about. Oh, guess who I ran into.”

“Who?”

“Remember Xiao Xin?”

“Ah, that cheeky little asshole? I saw his fight. He’s a big boy now, isn’t he?”

“Yeah, and he’s still a cheeky bastard. He did something to me.”

“WHAT?”

The girls stopped talking. Everyone emitted killing intent, but it was directed to Meng Xin outside the room.

“What did he do to you?” Ju Shoufen gritted her teeth.

“Did he do something to you?” Wei Yuan was worried.

Ma Xingjuan’s face turned solemn, “Yes, he did. When I talked to him, I sensed that my mental connection with Miaomiao was being jammed by something, and my memory of Miaomiao almost faded away. I recovered the memory just now, but it’s quite annoying.”

The girls looked at each other as they couldn’t understand her.

Yin Monarch and Yang Monarch suddenly came out from Kang Yan’s sword. They hovered in front of Ma Xingjuan and explained.

“If your memory suddenly fades for no reason, someone must have messed with a karmic connection between you and that person.”

Kang Yan was surprised, “You know something?”

“This will be a long lecture about karma and Samsara’s Power.”

“…”

While the tournament was ongoing, Miaomiao was oblivious to the changes and developments.

In the Isolation Training Space, he sat in front of Xu Chu, listening to her lecture about the usage and the danger of Karma Chains, Threads, Shackles, and abilities that could manipulate these mysterious invisible lines.

Xu Chu drew a few lines in the sand and explained, “After you’ve obtained my Dao, you should be invincible under the immortal realm by now. However, you’re still vulnerable against karma cultivators, especially Samsara’s vessels.”

“What are karma cultivators?”

“Someone who can mess with your memory, thoughts, and relationship with others with a slight movement. Think of a higher power that surpasses our Brainwash Daos.”

“…”

The lecture went on as Miaomiao wasn’t satisfied with his current abilities. His future opponents were all 9th-stage cultivators and half-step immortals.

He couldn’t lax!
